I'm trying to get an update on that situation now. Hopefully will have it in the next couple of hours.

Maybe we'll find out when McDermott addresses the media:

@JoeBuscaglia

Three days of mandatory kinda sorta football begins today at One #Bills Drive. Practices open to the media. McDermott will talk at 11:15.

Guess the new regime is sending a message...

Annen was a long shot to make the roster.

Don't hold your breath (miles apart).

Odd negotiating stance, unless he's ready to retire. He's been a FA for over a month, so that indicates his market value relative to his ask. And as we've seen from past history, guys balancing retirement vs last payday usually don't work out too well.

Actually, there's not much for him to gain by signing at this point.

He'll have more leverage if he waits for an injury to a starter.

He really enjoyed the visit too (coaches and facilities). They just aren't in the same ballpark.

I honestly don't think the dollars would be that much different in case of an injury. If his market now is vet minimum, I don't think teams will pony up a million more if there's an injury. And then there's the motivation issue about a bubble guy who's willing to hold out for money.

@JonScottTV

LeSean McCoy out today with stomach bug. Kyle Williams too w/ neck stiffness. Sammy Watkins limited this week. #Bills

@JaySkurski

Sean McDermott says the #Bills waiving Blake Annen isn't related to the team's potential interest in Gary Barnidge.

@JoeBuscaglia

#Bills HC Sean McDermott says he's impressed with the leadership intangibles that Tyrod Taylor has presented this offseason

@ChrisBrownBills

McDermott: I've been impressed w/Tyrod's leadership that's a must for QB pos. He's developed there. Offense not new to him. #Bills

McDermott: Marcell has done great job of taking opportunity w/new staff and running with it. #Bills

McDermott on plans for Z. Jones: Done nice job w/playbook. Zay has been hungry to learn. Knows inside & outside roles, options there. #Bills

@JaySkurski

Sean McDermott says the #Bills will limit Sammy Watkins' reps in practice today. "We're focused on getting him ready for training camp."

@SalSports

McDermott: "The nickel position is a starting position in our defense," talking about Kevon Seymour playing a lot there.

@JoeBuscaglia

#Bills HC Sean McDermott says Walt Powell and Dez Lewis have had a nice spring. Said Andre Holmes has stood out on offense and special teams

@SalSports

McDermott doesn't rule out Ragland or Brown moving outside if that's the best combo for the team come camp/season.

@buffalobills

"I've been impressed by Tyrod's leadership. There are qualities important to the quarterback position and he's doing a nice job at those."

@JaySkurski

Sammy Watkins just took a team rep in 11-on-11 work. Progress. #Bills

@SalSports

That was the first time Watkins took a rep in 11/11 or even 7/7 this offseason. McDermott said plan is to get him ready for camp.

Jerel Worthy is getting the starting snaps in place of Kyle Williams. LBs are Alexander, Humber, P. Brown.
