Who can we get that in a year or three can be that QB who can take us where we want to go and that is a Superbowl and win? Who is out there who can become our Franchise QB. We do NOT, have to do a rebuild with a rookie QB. We will improve on Defense just by McDermott's coaching and system. We have the #1 running game which, with out Taylor, might drop to 3rd? So what if it drops to 7th or 8th? We have tried to retool with backup QB's and pass them off as franchise guys for 20 years, take a step back to possibly leap forward. And if the guy in this draft isn't it, keep drafting. It is past time to implement this and start trying to find our Franchise QB, and Tyrod Taylor is NOT it. It'd be a clear indication that he's just an expensive bridge and it'd make it known that he is not in the team's long term plans. But that guy may not make an immediate impact. 4.) So therefore keep drafting QBs until we find the guy. 5.) But in the meantime, cut Tyrod because he's not the guy, even though the guy is not immediately apparent. 6.) It is past time to implement this and start trying to find our Franchise QB, and Tyrod Taylor is NOT it. the problem with all of this That player might not be available right now that can do what your looking for......we just dont know....this team is 15 years in he tank of not making the playoffs and we actually have a good player at the QB position.....the reality is that NONE of these qbs may end up being better then the player you want to let go. Teams are already sitting out there waiting to see if we are stupid enough to let a starting caliber qb go and replace him with a lottery ticket That would really undermine Tyrod. You also seem to be of the opinion that Taylor won't get any better. Why can't we keep Taylor while also looking for the guy you want down the road? Why not hedge our bets? That way if Taylor does get better and proves to be a franchise guy, maybe we have a young guy we can trade later. Or if he doesn't or gets worse, we can bench him and cut him or trade him within the next couple years and start the young guy. Why one or the other? I don't think anyone said it didnt work when the chargers drafted rivers when they had brees, or the packers drafted Rodgers when they had favre. You can't worry about hurting feelings for the QB in my opinion, got to do whats best for your team.
