And Delta has a bad history of operations going sideways under Dem leadership (per Delta guys)... just saying.

Amazing that's so hard to understand.  The President's the CinC.  Not the Speaker of the House, or the chair of the Armed Services Committee, or any other damn body.  Trump is under no obligation to forewarn Congress of an upcoming military action, any more than Obama was required to forewarn Congress of his hundreds of drone strikes.

You know...it's possible we got Randy Quaid by mistake...

He's busy doing dramatic readings of Trump tweets (seriously). He enjoys them because they are better than anything writers could put together for him (sorry DR!).

Listening to the radio on the way into work this morning, a couple things struck me:

1.) On the BBC World Service, they had some broad on who was talking about how killing Baghdadi was a problem because al Qaeda and ISIS could potentially now merge, maybe, despite the fact that the groups hate each other, and that al Baghdadi being in power could potentially have maybe been a stumbling block to any potential maybe merger before his death. It was ***** pathetic, how many qualifiers she had to use with this scare tactic nonsense.

2.) Flipped to the POTUS channel after that stupidity, and the morning show host (who is usually pretty moderate/reasonable) was talking about  Wallace's interview and Pelosi not being notified. His reasoning was that because she's 3rd in the line of succession, she was "3rd in command", and therefore should have been notified in advance.

These people are absolutely irrational and deranged. They're even sucking in the relatively neutral lefties.

I wonder if President Truman notified Sam Rayburn that he was about to drop the big one on Japan.

Hell, Truman didn't even know the bomb existed until he became president.

FDR was clearly in need of impeachment, since his VP didn't know every tactical detail about everything.

Well, he found a way to escape that, didn't he?

And the Russians knew before Truman did.
