BN Blitz: Week One scouting report: How the #Bills and #Ravens match up: https://t.co/JMqOCkMDTs

The ties between the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens run deep.

It’s where Rex Ryan and Tyrod Taylor got their starts, and Ed Reed authored a Hall of Fame playing career. It’s where safety Corey Graham won a Super Bowl.

If that’s not enough intrigue, it’s easy to imagine the season opener for both teams having big postseason implications. Under John Harbaugh, the Ravens have been regulars in the AFC playoffs – a position the Bills are desperate to reach. With that being the case, Sunday shapes up to be one of the most eagerly anticipated season openers in recent memory.

Here is how the Bills and Ravens match up:

Watchability Rankings: Which team's No. 1? No. 32?
Gregg Rosenthal ranks teams by intrigue. With newbies like Derrick Henry, the Titans suddenly are fun. Meanwhile, Bill Belichick's Pats (sans Tom Brady) and Carson Wentz's Eagles demand attention.

Mystery teams

10) San Diego Chargers

11) Buffalo Bills

12) Philadelphia Eagles

Despite all the injuries, Buffalo still has talent and a unique offense, but the pressure could become suffocating for the team's coaching staff if the Bills get off to a slow start.

No it won't. The media will hyperventilate but TP won't.

Hester hasn't returned a KO for a TD since 2011 and only has 5 KOR TD's in his career (he had 2 in each of his first 2 seasons). His KOR average was 26.1 last year. I think the plan will be to have Gay KO to the middle of the EZ and Hester, being under pressure to return everything to justify his signing, will feel forced to bring it out. Then you can have the Ravens start prior to the 20-yard line if the coverage teams are decent.

Pitta returning after not one but two(!) major hip injuries/surgeries and seemingly endless rehab is remarkable.

It's a long of handwringing over nothing. Who is he making the squad over? Some guy who would be inactive and wouldn't have any impact?

You can never have enough linemen. Injuries happen as we are very aware of.

There's a reason no other team in the NFL carries two kickers. And how much did this field position actually help our team last year?
