Grantland: How the Patriots dispatched the Steelers in their home opener

http://t.co/5SQxwpU8qu

Brady actually wore Uggs to watch our game today. Can someone please drill him next week. Marcel? Mario? Hughes? You know you are getting a penalty anyway Jerry, might as well get your money's worth..

Also, it was reported that he was asked about the "We want Brady " chant at the Ralph and he just laughed. Smug SOB.

Visiting various Patriots fan sites... it appears most think this will still be an easy win, because Rex sucks and the Bills always suck. A few understand that we have talent, Rex has always given them tough games, and the Bills tend to give the Pats tough games in Buffalo.

I'm excited and nervous. I might throw up.

Thanks Yolo for posting. Didn't read them all, but I get the general feel that many are unimpressed by the Bills.

It got me thinking to see if PFF grades are out. No I'm not a fan, my son has an account.

Wouldn't you know it! The Colts actually had a better game than the Bills yesterday, as a matter of fact their team rating is 11th overall at 0.7! The Bills on the other hand were saddled with a MINUS 3.5 performance overall. Also, Defensively the Bills were MINUS 3.2, good for 22nd in the league. Oh and Tyrod Taylor was a MINUS 1 running the ball. Jeez did they hold the kneel-downs against him or what. I don't take this stuff too seriously. Go Bills!

Bills have shut down Aaron Rodgers and Andrew Luck in their last two home games? Made them both look terrible? Brady isn't better a better QB right now than either of them, and if the Bills can have a decent plan for Gronk their other skill players are not great. He should be worried.

You wouldn't wear those? They look comfy. And if anyone has earned the right to be smug I'd say Brady has. It's up to the Bills to prove to this guy that things have changed.

This.

Bills 2ndary without McKelvin and now, very likely, Corey Graham. Brady* saw communication errors and blown coverages yesterday, and he's licking his chops.

Keep in mind Brady* and NE*** lead Rex and the Jets 8-3. So he and Bellycheat figure overall, they p*wn Rex. Business as usual, is the mode in NE.

You have to remember though...Luck and Rodgers are not cheaters. That complicates things.

I'm not sure what to think about the pats* interior o-line. My gut tells me the trio of Kyle, Marcel and Bryant will make life hell on them. I was surprised at how well they played against Pitt though.

Come on Marcel...earn that payday baby!

It is definitely interesting reading it from their side. My favorite is when they say they hope that the AFCE is as good as they look because it will be "good for the Pats*" to give them more of a "sense of urgency" during the season. Be careful what you wish for, considering their roster isn't very good in some key areas.

Though it was just the preseason, our OL looked phenomenal agaist the Steelers DL as well. They just don't really have a pass rush and can't blitz much because their secondary isn't good enough. When they did blitz, they got to Brady.

I would say that the crappyness of the Division has been the most important/helpful factor for the Patriots' success over the past 15 years... just ahead of the cheating.

The extra wins always give them enough to get home playoff games which brings teams into the palace of cheating and allows the Pats to make Super Bowls. If they had a tougher division, couldnt get home field, and had to grind playoff games on the road, they dont have nearly this amount of success.

I haven't read all of these, but what those I read seem to amount to is:

1) no one can stop Mr Quick Shot Brady* and his arsenal of receivers, which is far too potent for any mere football team to defend

2) no one watched the game. They consider Tyrod Taylor an "oooh, shiney" novelty whose glitz will wear off, not a legit NFL QB who can survive inside the pocket

We'll see. Mr Quick Shot against Mr Big Stuff?

Yeah, I enjoyed that too. Arrogance personified. But hey, Dizzy Dean said it: "Ain't braggin' if you done it". It's on us to prove them wrong.

I'll be interested to see what their OL is really capable of. On the one hand, lots of rookies. On the other hand, somehow Belichek*** and his coaching team*** manage to eke great play out of nothing on OL for years, helped out by Brady* (and perhaps, the opponents play calls?)

I just want to see Rex and our coaching team "on top of" the Patriots*** Bag O Rule-skirting Tricks.

And if some Bills fan electronics wizard figured out how to leak crowd noise into the Patriots*** headsets, well that would be cool too. Can you imagine? "We have a complaint - we're hearing crowd noise in our headsets" "Ah, Mr Belicheck*** sir, that's because the crowd is extremely loud. We're all hearing it despite our headsets" "No seriously! It's coming through our headsets! We can't hear ourselves think!" "Ah, Sir, this is Ralph Wilson Stadium. No one can hear themselves think!" "You don't understand....ah, Forget it!"

Yes and it is infuriating. However, it usually takes them a few games to "gel.". Last week's defense wasn't really a test. We shall see.
