Super Bowl Commercials, or did my TV just quit

We'll have to use the DVR for that break... since the first block got a reaction on the ShoutBox, let's chronicle and pick the winner again this year. We got nothing better to do right?

6:30

1) Jurassic Park with even better effects, and a John Travolta bubble to tool through the park with.

2) What would you do IF your TV went out? I already threw my beer through it.

3) Esurance: Your mom's a terrible driver. Well, yeah, she's a woman (ducking). Erin Esurance is an excellent driver btw.

6:37

1) Toyota trying to get a leg up on their competition?

2) Turbo Tax almost making me wish we lost the Revolution.

6:41

1) Game Of War? Who cares, it's Kate Upton taking a bath.

2) Tomorrowland movie. Apparently picking up a Tesla badge now transports you to Planet Rube Goldberg.

3) BMW i3 with Today show ex-hosts. There is now competition among cars with the structural integrity of a soda can.

6:53

1) Minions: can't decide if they're tic-tacs or twinkies.

2) Snickers: Machete, Machete, Machete! LOL'd at Buscemi.

6:58 End of Q1, 0-0. We should get some local spots here.

1) Carnival Cruise talks about the salt level in our blood.

2) Skittles. There's a joke to be made about that many people with overdeveloped right arms, somewhere.

3) Lexus Hybrid.

4) T-Mobile with Kim Kardashian.

7:03

1) Budweiser, the lost puppy commercial.

2) Nationwide, Mindy someone or other.

3) Terminator 4 movie, old Arnold vs digitally-enhanced Arnold

7:12, 7-0 Cheaters

1) Coke changes all the negative trolls on the internet into positive stalkers

2) Avocados "First Draft", this is my favorite so far. Plus Doug Flutie

7:15, hey it's been 20 whole seconds since the last break

1) Fast And Furious... 7? We're up to 7 of these already? It just struck me that Vin Diesel and The Rock are totally interchangeable in any movie. Yet they're both in this one. Maybe they switch characters halfway through to see if anyone notices?

2) Dove Plus Man Care.

7:20

1) Doritos, that was more clever than their usual SB offering.

2) Nissan makes me realize I'm old enough to remember every word of a Harry Chapin song.

7:25

1) Nationwide tries to scare the hell out of parents with the "I died" commercial. Damn, that was dark.

2) Weightwatchers shows you lots of delicious food that you can't eat on their plan.

3) Weathertech with a pretty straight commercial, right off Velocity channel. That's a bold buy. No wonder their floor mats are $150.

7:34 Marshawn Lunch makes it 7-7

1) McDonald's makes people do stupid human tricks for their meal.

2) Esurance "Sorta like Heisenberg" HAH! That was great. How many boxes of Sudafed ya got?

2b) Some guy in a parking lot gets his car dinged, and that's what you think of me? No, I am the one who knocks... the dent out with a shaping hammer.

7:39

1) Fiat bonermobile.

2) GoDaddy. I head something about them pulling an ad, I get this is the last minute replacement?

3) The old Discover Surprise commercial, those boring... what a twist! Screaming Goat!

7:48

1) Microsoft. What can you do? Drink heavily. Weird, another commercial featuring Oscar Pistorius legs?

2) Squarespace. The Dude! Shouldn't you be mixing a white russian there?

8:01 14-14 after an NBA use of timeouts. This should be local spots.

1) A new mandatory NFL Ray Rice Memorial Commercial.

That wraps it up for the first half. Next we'll just be hoping for Kate Upton to show up on stage with Katy Perry for the Catherine Cleavage Bowl.

Ralonzo, did you ever see the video of a comparison test of a Chevy from the 60's to a modern Chevy. Might change your mind about structural integrity, although I will say an i3 is too small for me.

I had that one... that was great.

My early clubhouse leaders from the first half:

1) Esurance Breaking Bad

2) Discover Screaming Goat

3) Avocado First Draft

8:37 Seattle takes the lead 17-14

1) Clash Of Clans Revenge with Liam Neeson. I believe him. But that won't save him.

2) Sprint. Screaming Goat is cashing some checks today.

3) Lexus drifts.
