Nothing is set in stone, but it clearly looks like the Toronto group is against the ropes. How about we actually give a little gratitude to Bon Jovi for a change?

We will never know his true intentions; maybe he desperately wanted the team in Toronto, or maybe he had no intentions of moving them and just wanted to own a team. But Bon Jovi - deservedly or not - became a rallying cry for Bills fans across the world. If he hadn't partnered up with the Toronto group, who knows, maybe they would've flown under the radar. I honestly think his inovlement in the process unexpectedly became a catylst for the team staying here.

WTF? Seriously, WTF? His intentions were pretty clear. In fact, they were uncovered by Bills fans when his partner was found to be researching moving the team to Toronto. F Bon Jovi. His music sucks and his lies suck.

He's making lots of money without Sambora's guitar playing lately...

Understood.

I was never a fan of the music but do give a nod to Sambora, he's far from the no-talent hack that JBJ is, plus, he gives JBJ crap constantly, so he's got that going for him.

Ralph stayed in Buffalo because it was a golden goose for him. He was a clever business man (not a clever football team owner, in the classic sense). It never made sense for him to move. This has been pointed out over and over.

It's likely the team will be sold to the highest bidder. I also believe, obviously based on the lease he negotiated, that he would not let the trust sell to a team that would move it.

Pretty simple, doc.

It never made sense for him to move to a bigger market with a new stadium? Seriously? Yeah...no.

The lease and the actions of the trust tell you need to know about why Ralph kept the team in Buffalo. And will keep in there even after his death. Hopefully you'll finally realize it.

The team is going to go to the highest bidder.

The team will be sold to the highest bidder...who will keep the team in Buffalo. That's a major distinction and a far cry from what you have been implying John.

No, it never made sense for him to do that. Every team that moved during his ownership left because the city they played in wouldn't build the owner a new stadium--not because they smelled more money "in a bigger market". Ralph got a new stadium. And then he got many upgrades/renovations of the stadium over the years, all paid for by taxpayers. Whenever he wanted...he got. So your claim that he could have just picked any city and moved the team there at any time never made sense.

The lease cannot keep the Bills in Buffalo "after his death". The new owner will make that decision in a few years. If ther is no new stadium for him to move into ready to go by the end of the lease, moving is an option--as it was for every other team that has moved.

I see your point.

But give the credit to us fans , where it belongs. we rallied . He just pissed us off enough.

The truth of the camp fight story is that the DE Johnson started singing . "every rose has its thorn " each time he lined up . Hughes thought it was funny .

all makes sense now doesn't it ?

Yeah, he got the county to upgrade its own stadium, in lieu of demanding a new one, which he could have done and left if he didn't get it like Art Modell did. Other cities have built new stadiums for their new teams using taxpayer money, with the rest coming from PSLs and significantly higher revenues from luxury boxes and tickets, compared to Buffalo. And the Ralph was not a new stadium. Hell by the time the Panthers and Jags were awarded, it was already 20 years old, and a far cry from the stadiums being built at that time.

The lease alone can't keep the Bills in Buffalo, but the trust is vetting the potential owners to find the one(s) that will, and then selling to the higher bidder. And they're obviously following Ralph's wishes.

Not sure the Bills fan outrage against JBJ has had any bearing on The Trust whatsoever. But it's been entertaining---something I have never associated with Bon Jovi.

Giving appreciation to Bon Jovi is like giving appreciation to Colon Cancer. All you do is increase awareness to inform people of this dreaded disease so they can make informed decisions. Bon Jovi is no deferent his intentions are to move to the team to Canada. I will never trust him.
