our run D is vastly improved, our passing game improves with two new targets for EJ. O line will need help in FA.

an interesting idea. I would be more comfortable giving up Byrd for their two 1st, and giving them our second or something. We would have to get a stud safety to fill the Byrd void. However, if he is gone anyway, tag and trade for the scenario you mentioned might not be a terrible idea.

I like that draft MUCH better.

As far as the safety position...I truly believe between Aaron Williams, Searcy, Duke Williams and Meeks...they have safeties. (Leonhard too.)

However they have to do it, I would love-love-love to have an extra first round pick...to guarantee 2 of a WR, TE and/or LB.

I just did one & thought that it was pretty unrealistic. I liked the site better last year where you could trade down & up. At any rate I ended up with:

1st - Sammy Watkins (WR Clemson)

2nd- Austin Seferian- Jenkins (TE Washington)

3rd - Xavier Sua- Filo (OG UCLA)

4th - Carlos Hyde (RB OSU)

5th - Jimmy Garappolo (QB Eastern Illinois)

6th - Boseko Lokombo (OLB Oregon)

7th - Jay Bromley (DT Syracuse)

I guess that I would be really happy with that draft but don't think that it is realistic. It gives you 3 starters for sure. I didn't get the LB that I wanted (Max Bullough). He went the pick before the 4th round pick.

Love me some Carlos Hyde, 6 ft 236 lbs extremely strong, nose for the endzone, tough between the tackles, breaks tackles. Wont be there in the fourth if hes there in the 3rd its exactly what we need. Yeah i know, 3 game suspension. Worth the risk. Edited by billsfan_34

My mock draft:

1) Khalil Mack-UB

2) Dee Ford-AUBURN

3) CJ Fiedorowicz-IOWA

4) Michael Schofield-MICH

5) Storm Johnson-USF

6) Will Clarke-WVU

7) Jay Bromley-SYR

My draft focused on defense with Mack, Ford and Clarke as my pass rush specialists. Fiedorowicz as my Gronk clone. Schofield will be my starting LG. Storm will be tutored by FredEx to eventually be his replacement. Bromley to be depth on the Dline and a Marrone " homey" pick. Like Bruce Smith said, you beat great QBs with great pass rush.

I would want two picks in the top three for Byrd. I would not want a deal where we did not have one more player or pick than we gave up.

Isn't that typically how it works (draft wise)? A player that you value high but hope others don't...then as your plan seems to fall in-line, D'ope!

BTW, if our draft falls like your mock did... I would be ecstatic!

Schwartz hire makes my mock more foreseeable! Attacking, aggressive. Mack, Ford and Clarke all fit this style of play. Go Bills!

Here's what I got:

OT JAKE MATTHEWS

TEXAS A&M

DT AARON DONALD

PITTSBURGH

ILB CHRISTIAN JONES

FLORIDA STATE

TE ARTHUR LYNCH

GEORGIA

TE C.J. FIEDOROWICZ

IOWA

WR MIKE DAVIS

TEXAS

QB KEITH WENNING

BALL STATE

Now what do I win? I hit some needs, and I figure guards are gettable in FA, and for me, they were always way too much of a reach. Donald came up 7 down from the top, so I took him at 2. I also reached for the first TE. I figure the 2nd one and the WR for teams. QB because he was the top of the list. But really, other than the #1 pick and Donald, I don't know crap about these guys, I just sorta followed their list.

How'd I do?

I ended up with:

1) Greg Robinson - OT - Auburn

2) Austin Seferian-Jenkins - TE - Washington

3) Xavier Su'a-Filo - G - UCLA

4) Jackson Jeffcoat - DE - Texas

5) Jimmy Garoppolo - QB - Eastern Illinois

6) Jay Bromley - DT - Syracuse

7) Ross Cockrell - CB - Duke

I wanted to hit some needs with the first few picks. Then I started looking at value with Jeffcoat. I liked what I saw from Garoppolo in East-West Shrine game and in Senior Bowl practices so far, so in Round 5 I thought that was a no-brainer. In Round 6, I've watched Jay Bromley his entire career at Syracuse and he has vastly improved each year. He's a beast and decent value for a late pick. Finally, I watched Cockrell in the East-West Shrine game as well and thought we could do worse with a 7th rounder.

In this scenario, I think we'd need to get some LB and WR help from Free Agency. Also, I admittedly haven't done all of my research yet on most draft prospects, so this was just a fun shot in the dark.

Good lord would I love those first three picks, and even the rest is looking good.

Man 0 Man i hope the Bills stop screwing around and finally build a top O line, and that draft would pretty much do it.

Eric Ebron- playmaker weapon EJ could ride for a career.

Gabe Jackson- Big nasty guard. Eats anything that moves. Watch Spiller work.

Dominique Easley- Scheme versatile. Can be a force at 3-4 end. And could be an excellent replacement for Kyle in a 4-3 set. I would not believe my eyes if he were there on the 3rd rd.

James Hurst- If you watched the South Carolina game. You saw this man dominate the potential number 1 pick. If it weren't for a broken leg in the bowl game this would not even be a conversation in the 4th round. Can play right tackle right away. And could even play left if Marrone wanted to move Glenn to right.

Steven Morris- hey. Why not. Another young guy to groom along with EJ. I wouldn't hate the move nor do I care to defend it.

Chris Davis- Physical cb with plenty of size and physicality to go around. Nose for the ball, can cover 1on1. And can rush the edge from the slot.

Prince Schembo- Big physical guy who seems very nasty. A run defending freak. He has wont be swallowed up and seems to LOVE contact. Also is a 3-4 outside backer who can get after the q.b. a poor mans Lawson and poor mans Hughes in 1 body.

I was crushed when chris borland was gone in the 3rd. And I would also go for Marcus Coker, Bernard Reedy and Dri Archer in UDFA. Obviously I have given away the fact that Im a huge MAC fan. And even add a punter as well UDFA wise.

I went heavy on Offense, and usually took the best value guy at a position of need.

With one exception, picking Williams from BC at (we was a very good value at the that spot, but not a high need for the Bills, but this is more looking towards the future) …. anyhow, I like him, he reminds me of a young version of Fred Jackson.

And if we got Amaro in the 2nd, with Watkins, WOW!!!

My ILB were just the highest rated guys at the time, we need to get better there (assuming Kiko gets moved to the outside)

And if we could get Fales in the 5th???

I almost went with Robinson (OT Auburn in the 1st), but didn't. That turned out to be bad because it effectively shut me out of OT the rest of the way, there were never any that were close to value of the pick form there on out. In hind site, I should have gone with him, there seemed to be plenty of WRs available each round.

Looks like a good draft. You hit some great needs. O-line, pass rush/run D (Donald and Jones) and got a great TE.

I only did 3 rounds but ended up with:

Anthony Barr OLB UCLA

Kelvin Benjamin WR Florida State

Justin Gilbert CB Oklahoma State

I doubt this would ever come to fruition, but I would be ecstatic if it did. FS (pay Byrd!) and LG still need tone addressed.

That would be a great draft. Your great mock is what makes me question this tool some. I have seen a lot of places that have Gilbert to the Lions at 10. You got him in the 3rd!!
