Jimmy Garoppolo - QB Eastern Illinois

Recommended Posts

We should have an opportunity to snag this guy

but won't.

Garoppolo in second-round mix?

2:15 p.m. PT: Jimmy Garoppolo's first drive lived up to the billing, showcasing his quick release and live arm in completing 4 of 6 passes for 44 yards and setting up a field goal.

Daniel Jeremiah currently sees Garoppolo getting drafted somewhere on Day 2 of the draft, adding that he doesn't see him getting past the third round. But as the crew in the booth noted, the Senior Bowl has been a great launching pad in recent years for other relatively unheralded signal-callers.

Could Garoppolo end up in the first round? It could be the main storyline that emerges next week in Mobile, Ala.

And no one has brought up that other Italian from E Illinois?

Jimmy Hoffa?

Condensed Games from 2013:

vs. Eastern Illinois: http://draftbreakdow...see-state-2013/

vs. U of Tennessee/Martin: http://draftbreakdow...ut-martin-2013/

vs. Jacksonville State: http://draftbreakdow...lle-state-2013/

vs. Eastern Kentucky: http://draftbreakdow...-kentucky-2013/

vs. Northern Illinois: http://draftbreakdow...-illinois-2013/

So that should give anyone interested a good 180-200 snaps from this year with which to judge him.

These are not highlight packages.

Point being, you'll see incomplete passes, sacks, rushing attempts and interceptions in these videos along with any passes he completed.

You've got to be joking. You expect us to wade through all of that? :P

I kinda want to see him drafted by the Jets for the sole purpose of having Smith (African), Sanchez (Hispanic) and Garoppolo (Italian) on the same team. The fighting by the Jets fans would be priceless. Three way race rioting wouldn't be far away.

how tall is he?

6'3", 220.

Quick release, Questionable decisions, Questionable mechanics

Struggles to fit it in tight windows

I've heard everything from First Round to Interesting mid-late developmental guy

Garappolo's passing TDs:

2010: 14

2011: 20

2012: 31

2013: 53

His YPA is higher than Manuel's, and Manuel had the highest YPA in last year's draft.

I don't think the Bills drafting this guy is an option. He's a second round pick at worst and maybe if he has a good Senior Bowl, a first rounder, he certainly lived up to the hype at the East/West Shrine game.

I could see Buffalo taking a QB in the late rounds, personally I like Aaron Murray but his injury certain creates lots of question marks.

Wow, how is everything back in 1965?

only saw him yesterday but looked great and all they talked about was his perfect throwing motion and hitting tight windows.
