I hope they do rest him and give his ankle time to heal. While I want them to win this week, the Saints are a non-conference team and a win against them does not mean as much in standings and (gasp) playoff scenarios. Get him healthy for the KC game that I think we have a good opportunity to win.

Why?

Per my BB app the Bills have one of the best R B duos in nfl so far and both have been injured.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/team/_/stat/rushing

Team stats

#4 Buffalo 983 total yds, 140.4 ypg

http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/rushing/sort/rushingYards/year/2013/seasontype/2

Fred #15 with 4.4 ypc and CJ #18 with 4.0 ypc

http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2013/10/22/fred-and-c-j-again-a-productive-duo/

Fred Jackson (380 – 5th) and C.J. Spiller (362 – 8th) each rank in the top 10 in the AFC among 2013 rushing leaders. The Bills are the only NFL team to feature two or more running backs who each have 350 rushing yards or more through Week 7 and the first in the NFL through game seven since 2011 (Houston: Arian Foster and Ben Tate).

oh wait I shouldn't confuse people with facts

How are these statistics germane to the question of whether the Bills should rest a clearly injured and diminished CJ Spller who has only been on the filed for about 40 of the Bills last 200+ offensive snaps? His injury hasn't really gotten any better for the last three weeks.

This is all well and good, but anybody who watched Spiller play on Sunday knows he wasn't effective in that game. Up until then, I think we could all agree that he was not on his A game, but he was still useful.

Both FJ and CJ have been injured and BOTH still continue to put up good numbers. when both are dinged they throw in Choice.

You need THE top 4 running game in the NFL to support the passing game.

But if you want the Bills to lose then sure let CJ sit.

and I did say I shouldn't confuse people with facts
