The over/under is 6.5, not 3, which seems about right. 3 is crazy low and it takes more than just having a bad team to only win 3 games unless you're an expansion team. You usually need a lot of bad luck as well.

You do know that the Vegas lines are determined based on what they think will lead to an equal number of people betting on either side ? It has nothing to do with how many wins the Bills will get...

-but to get that result they need to have a realistic number---so it has plenty to do with how many wins they think the bills will get.

Isn't over/under for Bills 6?

Of course it is. What the original poster does not understand is that Buffalo is only favored in 3 games. The over/under on their win total is 6 or 6.5 depending on what website you use. So if San Francisco is favored to win in 14 of their games, that doesn't mean the over/under on their win total would be 14. It's a pretty simple concept. And I'm so sick of people saying "Vegas." There is no one Vegas consensus odds. There are thousands of sportsbooks all with odds of their own, in Vegas and otherwise.

That make such more sense.

That make such more sense.

I can sense your sarcasm, so I'll give you an example. Let's say the St, Louis Cardinals were about to host a 10-game homestand against the Astros, the Marlins and the Cubs. They may be favored in each game individually. So in a sense, they are "favored to win in 10 games." But that doesn't mean the over/under on their win total is 10 for the homestand. While they may be favored to win each night, odds are that they won't win every single game over the course of the 10. I really hope that makes more sense for you.

Actually I wasn't being sarcastic... I liked what you wrote.

I could be persuaded to put money on 4 or better wins next season. Jets X 2, Browns, KC at home, Jags, Bucs. I can see 4 out of that mess.

Two Jets wins and one dolphin win, maybe a win vs the Jags. Browns, KC and Bucs are all a lot better than Buff.

there is no reason this team cannot win 7-8 games. Pound the rock with your excellent RB's, ease the offense to make short high percentage passes and let your quick young receivers make things happen. also, the Defense has to be drastically better than last year, it was like watching a slow moving nightmare last season.... even if they are just good we can beat alot of the team on our schedule.

Reason # 1 - No QB.

Thanks for coming.

You're joking, right? And throw in the Carolina game as a win.

No I am not joking. All o fthose teams are ahead of us. Carolina has a QB, we don't they will beat us. Say all you like about what you read and how well we play in scrimmages, this team is two years away from anything. Everything is new on this team. It is not going to win 5 games. The schedule is a bear. The coaches are too new, the players are too unfamiliar with their roles, too many rookies will start. I think we will be a lot more entertaining but that just means we will lose entertaining games. The people on this board read too much into the reports from training camp They mean nothing.
