Dr. Trooth
ESPN is reporting the Cowboys are targeting Monte Kiffen as DC. Now that's thinking outside the box. However, there is no truth to the rumor that the Cowboys are considering Marv Levy as GM.

Surprised he'd come back to coach after resigning as his kid's DC @ USC.

playman
i´d really prefer kiffen over kiffin. at least it would give me a good time and from what i´ve heard he left USC because it became painfully clear to him that his son can´t coach. Malazan
I heard he left because his left shoelace was whispering to him to run onto the field naked and do the Macarena. He didn't know how to do the macarena so he quit so he would have free time to learn.
TheBrownBear
Lol...I hope the Cowboys hire this guy. He submarined USC's season (to my delight I should add).
CA OC Bills Fan
I live in the LA area. As I remember reading in the local papers at the time, he resigned because he had to go due to the performance of the defense. Seeing as his son is his boss, he wasn't going to force son to fire father or have the son lose his job over refusing to make the changes to his staff. The "looking to return to the NFL" excuse was just that, and excuse.

NoSaint
Yep. Garrett's in the same boat as Rex Ryan. No excuses left. Ron Rivera too. much like chan last year. and whats tough is, as noted above, swapping from a 34 to a 43 in that year can have growing pains. Hsp08
They are saying Demarcus Ware is a 3-4 Lineman all his career & Kiffin is a 4-3 guy, why don't we trade Mario for him straight up since we are heading towards a 3-4 again?

As crazy as that sounds, that was what I was thinking too. We should just do an even trade of our entire defensive personnel!
