LOL fair enough if that's what you read. Simply saying a fairly substantive speech that ran long b/c of it is something you don't like? Not sure why you are interested in PPP (actually....it all just clicked right now...it all makes sense). I love you World...only b/c Clinton told me I have too hehe

I thought his speech was effective, just that it could of been even more effective if he tightened it up and made it a bit shorter.

Maybe so. For me I agree w/ your edits...a 3 hour policy speech would have been up my alley hehe. In any event he dropped serious bombs that GOP analysts can attack in a number of ways so you should be happy he actually talked policy and real things...now conservative blogs have something to attack that's real.

Hehe....not one PPP poster can admit it was a good speech b/c Bill Clinton made it and it was for Obama?

You know what people are saying on Twitter? They should close the convention now because it's over. No one will beat the Clinton speech. No one.

I'm having a hard time understanding why that is a good thing for anyone hoping to see Obama re-elected. Not to mention, few if any will remember his speech come 9:30 a.m. Friday morning.

As someone who finds you to be the literal king of all retards...literally posting non-stop retarded idiot garbage that amazes me other very conservative posters on this board don't attack you for...solid point. I disagree of course...but a fair point in your own way.

Amazing speech that was more substantive than basically anything any politician has made in this election and it can be attacked b/c it's too long (lame IMO America needs to wake up)...or that it over shadows what Obama can do (political but true...but it also dwarfs anything the GOP can do)...or maybe on the facts (this will be the big thing b/c when you give facts these days you just dare one media outlet to challenge them and then become a source for others to parrot w/ out liability and it all creates a story to pitch that fuels surrogate appearances and on and on and on)....but none of that takes away one core fact...as a somewhat self-described middle of the road Dem (even though I'm a maniac left loon to you b/c you are an ass and stupid)....it was effective in making me motivated and excited about the election.

That said, as I've said before and is no secret I'm a big fan of Clinton and a read the propaganda he writes writes for profit and love it hehe

Absolutely. Other lib books as well all while masturbating but I can read drunk and that's a learned talent. And a few choice conservative books but only the smart ones. Just drinking, reading, and masturbating. It's a rewarding life I have if only you could see through the computer I'm 350lbs, bearded, never been kissed by a women, and just love Bill Clinton. hehe

It was a little long, but it h ad substance and policy talk. Good to hear for a change. I think Clinton did his job on focuses on policy and contrasting the two parties/candidates.

It will be tough for Obama to top it but if anyone can, it's him.

Obama cannot top that. Do not kid yourself. Obama will be good in his own way though and lets be honest his method of public speaking appeals to the masses well. Maybe twitter will think it can touch that...but it won't.

No one has done more to improve the standing and appreciation of Bill Clinton than Barack Obama. No one. Yes, I know to a progressive like yourself I come across as repetitive and boring, but you need to equally own up to the fact that Barack Obama is embarrassing your product.

Bill Clinton made things happen by sucking it up and accepting the will of the people. He was a lipstick-chasing pig of the highest order, but at least he came across as a leader. A man who understood that compromise was something that doesn't begin with finger pointing or blame. The dude cheated on his wife with an intern in the Oval Office, came on the girl's dress, and today has an almost 70% favorability rating.

Barack Obama can barely complete a full sentence without having it written on a napkin, and even then there's a 50/50 chance he'll screw it up. He has the leadership skills of a mop, and the one area I disagree with Clinton is with his perception of Obama. The man doesn't deserve to bring Clinton his bags or his coffee. They're in two different leagues, and if you weren't so blindly partisan, you'd see it for yourself.

Of course Obama doesn't deserve to be in the same league as Clinton. And Romeny has no business in the game at all. And don't talk to me about what the current Dem president did to "my product" lol...worry about your last president and your current House has done to your product and re-branding that in modern times. It'll be a close election and as much as I loved that speech and will love Obama's (b/c Obama is a fantastic speaker himself even if you can't get past your hate for him) these things will mean nothing. There will be some stupid debates where nobody answers questions and more money that we've ever seen and ultimately it'll be a roll of the dice b/c that's where we're at. I'll say this though...Dems will be more excited than Repubs IMO...Repubs had some people but they didn't play those cards they're hoping the dealer busts. We'll see

Is that why Obama made sure to come up on stage and escort Bill off, even though Bill didn't really want to leave that stage?

And if the progressives really want to continue blaming Bush for his deregulatory predilection that caused the financial crisis, should they at least acknowledge that Glass Steagal repeal was signed by William J Clinton? (Not that either had a direct relation to the crisis, but at least the two fallacies should be on equally wrong footing?)

Are you referring to tomorrow morning or through the next 2 months?

Tomorrow morning, D's will be very excited about the possibility of a 3rd WJ Clinton term. Somehow, I'd expect that through the next 3 debates and the seemingly endless TV ads, they might come back to the realization that Bubba isn't coming back.

Fiscal conservatives, social conservatives, and Republicans will likely maintain their enthusiasm to remove this generation's Jimmy Carter from office.

In that emboldened portion I mean to merely refer to coming out of convention. It will be stupid ads that lie and debates where nobody answers the question and there aren't follow-ups. And all that will be for about 5% swing in about 5 states...and then we'll have a president.

I can't say whether it was good or bad because I watched the Cowboys vs Giants instead. I suspect most of America did the same.

Was he still talking at halftime? I know NBC said they would cut over the Convention at halftime but again I didn't watch. Halftime of MNF and SNF is usually spent away from TV. Refill beverages. Check email/voicemail/text. Potty Check. Stuff like that. And again I suspect most of America doesn't spend halftime watching the news

Clinton laid out everything Obama has achieved and spelled out how the GOP is a) full of schitt, b) left this burning bag of dogschitt we call an economy for Obama to clean up, and c) Romney/Ryan are going to do a U-turn right back to Dubyah's world. Brilliant speech, masterfully delivered.
