Trust me when I say this. You don't want to go anywhere near someone in the Brockton, MA area.

I'd imagine it has something to do with the early days of allowing women into, until then, male colleges

 

 

Something I've always wondered...how did the term "co-ed" come to refer to a college woman? Doesn't it, by definition, imply either gender?

WOW... Your young age is showing!

 

Many moons ago... In a male dominant society... Woman could not attend higher education. In response, "woman's colleges" were formed. Those were formed because again simply, females couldn't not attend higher education.

 

One name that comes to mind is Skidmore... I think that started out as "The Young Women's Industrial Club."
