There was at least one site that said one of the qualifications for a scholarship was to be gay. Just sayin. Regardless, the reason I even looked into this was that Drudge had a headline saying that she was for insurance companiea paying for gender change. The link was somehow broken so I investigated it further. Crayonz has posted a link you might want to check out before you go any further. Well, when I Googled it I did find that there was a site that was called rainbow something that was all about teddy bears and pre school kids. That's her choice and I'm not making any comment on that except as a guy, I like some of the same stuff she does. What does it say about a person that would put themselves on the national stage, making claims that "birth control" cost her $3000, when the closest she has come to anything that might make her pregnant has batteries, two heads or enables another female to speak? Although you might think I'm being tongue-in-cheek here, how stupid (and arrogant) can the former Speaker of the House be to prance out a lesbian to testify before the world about the hardship she endured by having to pay for her own birth control? Contraception isn't like other kinds of "health care." Yes, birth-control pills can be prescribed to address medical problems, though that's relatively rare and the Catholic Church has no quarrel with their use in this circumstance.
