There is noway he could of won money on this bet as the odds were to onesided. As Tom stated Miller gets one sack & it is just about breakeven time, Miller gets 2 sacks & now he is oweing you. This guy was the 2nd friggin pick in the draft, even if he had a bad year based on his draft status one would assume he would get at least 4-5 sacks. Maybe Tboner should pay you the money out of stupidity & my initial guess is he is not a betting man but my personal take on this is that there would be no Casino in Vegas that would take this bet & the bet should be cancelled based on the fact that you took advantage of a fellow poster with these effd up odds. But nothing is obvious when predicting prospects. We can just bring up the Cam Newton thread for more evidence if you want. Last year pre draft i did not understand all the hate on Cam Newton & I did not understand all the hate on Von Miller. I watched both players play numerous times & I was very impressed with both of them. is this some sort of joke? who cares about the odds....if you're dumb enough to make a one-sided bet NOT in your favor, that's your fault. pay up. People saw him as a "young punk Black kid" (aka "thug") because of one stupid incident at 19, and because his dad might have asked for some money. They thought he was a selfish headcase, and a QB who could only run the ball. All of which was extremely exaggerated or flat out wrong, as they ignored all the reports from his coaches and fellow players who loved him as a leader, and his passing talents. I dont think any of us in the anti-Miller crew actually "hated" him like that or thought he was a bad guy. Personally, I just thought that he couldn't help much with our biggest weakness/need at the time, Run Defense. I also thought he'd have some trouble transitioning to the Pro level due to size. I still think that Dareus was the right choice, even if Miller had been available. But he sure did prove me wrong about the transition. Funny thing about Cam Newton, if it wasnt for his success, how many of the same people would be dismissing RG3 and calling HIM the "next Vince Young or Jamarcus Russel"?
