Unfortunately I don't think Buddy will be gone till Ralph dies. I think the most likely scenario is that Edwards is fired and Waanstadt become DC. What Id like to see is another couple years with Nix, and then promote Whaley to GM. Let Whaley then decide if he wants to bring in another coach, or what. I know there are exceptions, but guys in their mid 70's aren't made to be GM's in the 24x7 365 day a year NFL. Hopefully this will involve a switch to a 4-3 defense. I don't think it will be hard to hire a DC if Gailey has no job security. (which is an assumption, if Nix is there Gailey is there). But assuming that is correct, I think it would make it easier to get a DC because if the D did well under him he would be a top HC candidate if Gailey was fired at some point. Maybe its just wishful thinking on my part, but I believe the plan is to eventually hand the team to Whaley. Which, going off of our last draft, I wouldnt mind so much. Donahoe was given almost a decade to run the team into the ground, They are here for a few more years We are a terrible organization devoid of talent. Buddy's first draft is among the worst in bills history. We have 4-3 defensive players playing out of position and 3-4 players playing out of position. Terrible defensive coaching and we are likely to lose our best WR in free agency. We have overpaid a mediocre QB with a large contract. Please do not talk nonsense. I'm actually impressed with how well Chanix are doing with the scrubs Ralph and the money men give them to work with. You know, I just can't understand.
