Roc Bronson
With D. Bell out of this contest, its almost a blessing that Trent Cole is not in this one. Jason Peters well you know...

2020 Our Year For Sure
They could put a stool out there & we'd have trouble getting pressure. My thought as well. I'd love to see Merriman or Kelsay rip off 3 sacks with a backup lineman getting the start, yet somehow I'm not expecting it...

Nuncha
Does this mean a Merriman sighting? To see Merriman you have to watch tape of the 2006 San Diego Chargers.

San Jose Bills Fan
Alright… this thread needs a positive spin so here it is. While Demetrius Bell has played well and Jason Peters continues to be a lighting rod, this is the first NFL start of Chris Hairston's career. In a tale of 3 left tackles, this Bills-Eagles game will be the ironic advent of the one who will make Bills fans forget the other two.

If Hairston does well, do the Bills re-up Bell and at what cost? Does Bell want blindslide money for his solid performances the first couple of games? Wayne Fontes
<br />Lord knows we don't want or need any depth on our O line! Trade him for a 7th rounder. Depth is fine. If Hairston turns out to progress better than Bell in spot duty and the Bills ride him - are they going to pay starting LT money to Bell at the end of the year for what amounts to 3.5 games of effective play? West End Stench
Say what you want, but (somehow) Peters is a 4X pro bowler and losing him doesn't help their offense. Unfortunately for us, if there's one quarterback that doesn't really need all-pro linemen in front of him, it's Michael Vick.

Funny that you would say this because there was only one possibly negative comment made about Peters and it was more a a comment on the Bills impotent pass rush. How will they ever stop the Bills pass rush without him? This might be the first JP thread on this forum where JP wasn't criticized… but it's still young. Their O-Line is horrible and Vick is getting killed every game.

We're talking about the same Michael Vick who was crying about getting beaten like Tina Turner, right? He CAN be stopped. He CAN be hit, and the D needs to bring it. I mean blitz every other play if you have to. He's small and weak. Take advantage of that.
