UFO Found on Ocean Floor?

Where did u hear that ?

AOL weird news.

A team of shipwreck hunters that found a strange circular object on the floor of the Baltic Sea in 2011 now says they have discovered visual evidence of a second "disc-like shape" some 200 meters from the original find, CNN reports.

Peter Lindberg, who leads the group, previously joked to CNN that the first object they found 300 feet below the surface might be an unidentified flying object.

When the object, which has a diameter of 195 feet, was first discovered in June of last year, many believers thought it was a wrecked UFO that had crashed onto the seafloor and left behind a path of destruction measuring some 900 feet, according to News.com.au.

CNN explains how the team discovered the objects:

The imaging technique involves pulling a sonar "towfish" -- that essentially looks sideways underwater -- behind a boat, where it creates sound echoes to map the sea floor below.

The team is waiting until the spring to further investigate their intriguing discovery.

According to Yahoo News, the Baltic Sea is a hotbed for salvaged items.

"Right now, we know about 20,000 objects, mostly shipwrecks, in the Baltic Sea. But I think there may be more than 100,000," sonar expert Ardreas Olsson told Yahoo News. "I'm not sure what you will see when you go down. But I'm excited. It's going to be interesting to see what it is."

Sunken Ship in the Baltic Sea

On June 19th the Swedish-based diving company Ocean Explorer discovered something they've never quite seen before. They were exploring in the Baltic Sea between Sweden and Finland looking for sunken treasures when a very unusual image suddenly appeared on the sonar. A 197 feet diameter cylinder shaped object was discovered at the depth of approximately 275 feet which resembles the Millennium Falcon from the movie Star Wars.

The United States government. Capable of secretly running and cloaking a massive conspiracy of the existence of intelligent alien life, but with less power than Viacom to remove videos from youtube.

I understand what you're saying. It's a funny and rational line of thought. But if you believe for one second that the US Government is not capable of keeping things secret, you're kidding yourself. If something is important enough to the government, they know how to protect it. Think about the scope of the UFO question. Admitting the existence of UFOs would not only be announcing the discovery of intelligent life in the universe ... but intelligent life that is visiting our planet.

People would panic.

... At least they would have in 1947. But back then it was easier to keep it quiet or blame it on the Soviets. Which might explain why we've been slowly dripped more and more information about UFOs through every medium available: movies, tv, comics, books ... easy to write off flights of fancy sold as "entertainment". But over 20 years, that kind of constant bombardment desensitizes the population. Then you can start bringing out things from more legitimate sources and suddenly science fiction slowly becomes just science.

Give that enough time, you find yourself with a population that would be ready to accept the existence of UFOs visiting our planet more in stride. It becomes less of a life altering realization and thus less of a threat to the government's ability to keep law and order.

And if you think that's nuts, think about this date: April 24, 1945. Up until that point, US Vice President Harry Truman had never heard the words "The Manhattan Project". This was a government project that began in 1939 and employed over 100,000 people at various levels inside and outside of the US Government. 100,000 people knew what the Vice President of the United States didn't even know. Some would say the world has changed, communication has become global, information moves too fast for the government to control it. And they're right. The world has evolved -- but don't think for a second the government's ability to keep secrets haven't evolved right along side it.

More if you include the Russians.

And to be honest, few of the 100,000 people in the Manhattan Project knew the were working on The Manhattan Project. Some of the stories from back then about worker ignorance are scary-funny.

Pffft that's nothing. Today 200 million people know what the Vice President doesn't know.

Won't deny that. "Scary-funny" is a great way to describe how easy it is to keep people in the dark about things -- even when they're working on the project.

I'm actually not a big government conspiracy guy (at least in real life, in my professional life ABSOLUTELY). I just think that IF UFOs are real and IF the Government knew about it, they could keep it quiet for as long as they wanted.

:worthy:

I set 'em up ... you knock 'em down. Well done!

So if that object on the Baltic Sea-floor ain't a sunken UFO, why did the Skunk Works (the same place that developed the U2 and the F-117 stealth fighter) use the Hughes Mining Barge to develop and build the secret "Sea Shadow" ship (see picture in above link)? The Hughes Mining Barge had a huge claw that the CIA supposedly used to retrieve half of a sunken Soviet nuclear submarine from the ocean floor. Do you really think the CIA would tell anyone the real reason for building the Sea Shadow? Sounds to me like a pretty good cover story for a sunken UFO retrieval mission. Who knows how many of these sunken UFOs have already been recovered?

Some of the information at the link is, not really wrong, but not really right. I recently saw a movie on Netflix about that retrieval of the Soviet sub, called Azorian: The Raising of the K-129. It gives a lot of info on the building of the ship and barge. And also how the claw was not 100% effective in raising the sub, several of the claws broke off on retrieval.

Bad thing is, If Truman had known how close we were to Atomic bombs, he never would have given Russia Europe for a worthless declaration of war on Japan. But of course Stalin knew all about it.

The CIA could make reasonable estimates about what a Soviet sub of a certain size weighed and design the retrieval claws accordingly - - for a sunken UFO made of materials from another world - - not so much.

They did make estimates, but did not account for how steel will react in water about 3 miles down when stressed. It's really an interesting movie/documentary, I recommend it if you're interested in cold war history, or deep sea retrevial.

I wonder what the grunt-level Iranians will think they are working on when the Israeli jets show up?

They've no doubt recovered thousands. In fact, the materials they've studied were used to renovate the Pentagon. That's why they launched a cruise missile at it before that ring was occupied...they wanted to test how effective the alien ceramics were at hardening a building against attack. The attacks on the WTC were just a false flag operation to distract everyone from the REAL purpose of the attack.

Random segue:

Have you ever watched ANCIENT ALIENS on the History channel? I've had to watch the entire show for "research" and wondered if you ever caught it (or anyone on here). They're pretty hilarious and simultaneously terrifying.

Twice, I think. Then my brain jumped out of my head and skittered around on the floor trying to get away from it. Cloverfield was a better documentary.

My oldest brother Darryl says that's just not believable. A cruise missile launch would be too hard to keep secret. Why not just turn the security cameras off for a few minutes and defoliate a shaped charge from a safe distance INSIDE the outer perimeter of the Pentagon?

My youngest brother Darryl thinks we should use the alien ceramics for peaceful purposes, like renovating the Ralph with something that won't require expensive upkeep. Still sounds costly to me.
