After watching a few Alabama games this past season I couldn't help, but notice #41 in Bama's D all over the field laying down some hard hits. I took a note of his name, because he jumped out at me in the few games I saw. I see him in the Top 30, good to see. Pair him up with Marcell next year and continue building a nasty defense.

Here's a quick look:

I'd love to add some Offensive linemen to upgrade our talent and depth. This year will help decide if and when we need to think QB in the draft. While I am at it a TE would be nice too!

Looks like MIKE ADAMS, OT, OHIO STATE, 6-8, 305, 5.28 in the first

RYAN TANNEHILL, QB, TEXAS A&M, 6-4,220 in the second. Saw 3 or so games of Tannehill watching Von Miller (thanks Denver) and thought this guy was great, had real command of the offense with good zip on the ball.

I was going to post the same thing. If this kid stays healthy he is going to shoot right up the charts. He moves like a safety and hits like a truck.

Also, they have a very good OC and RG that blasted open holes for Ingraham. Basically, the entire team is great.

My friend and personal trainer Jeff is also the personal trainer for:

8. JONATHAN MARTIN, OT,STANFORD, 6-6, 305 **

He has known him and his family a long time and between what I have seen of him and what Jeff says about him, I would love this kid to be our pick. He just raves about this kids ability and he is supposed to be an outstanding individual as well. If he has a strong senior year though he will probably be a top 10 or top 5 pick, so we are going to have to have another poor season to have any shot at him if he keeps playing like he is.

I usually watch college football for the fun it, not as an analyst, so unless a guy jumps out at me, like an Andrew Luck, I tend not to put checkmarks next to them until later in the year. I don't know how good this list is. But I do know a fair amount about USC and I don't know anyone other than a rabid Trojan fan who thinks Matt Barkley is even the tenth best QB in the nation. And Chris Gallipo at 33? Gallipo lost his starting position last season. If he gets more time on the field this season, it will only be because the roster is thin.

If Mac got both of those so far wrong, I wonder how many others he missed. I think I'll wait until next January before I started banging the drum on college prospects.

Notes: These are only seniors so don't freak out when you notice guys like Luck, Blackmon, James, and Richardson are missing. Jordan White and Kentrell Lockett are guys that you might recognize, they were granted a 6th year of eligibility just before the draft and withdrew their names. Sounds like Michael Floyd will be allowed to play this season which is a big break for him. No idea what will happen to Janoris Jenkins, with the supplemental draft looking unlikely due to the lockout, he may need to transfer to a non-FBS school to play a year or just sit out. He's an extremely talented kid and first round player on the field but he's undraftable off it. I LOVE this WR class. The seniors by themselves are extremely strong across the board and with Jeffery and Blackmon both likely to declare, this could be a great class.
