  1. How can they keep him at MLB? We have seen it game after game. It's because they traded up to get him and don't want to admit what a terrible move it was. No instincts, gets screened off all the time, no impact plays. No way they can pay him top $$$$.
  2. Thought it was worth repeating what was said on the the Bears - Steelers broadcast with 13:34 on the clock in the 3rd quarter. Announcer: "Harris has taken a lot of punishment this season. Doesn't seem to mind the contact. He actually told us he likes to get hit." Color Man: "And he's taken some big hits, Jamal Adams for the Seahawks got him, Edmunds for the Bills got him one time, he said that was the hardest one he took."
  3. The Week 9 Bills v. Jagoffs edition of The Edmunds Report is here. I will state what I see on a play, then assign a point system -1, 0, +1, and keep a running total. I'll ignore plays where he's not involved and only look at coverage if he's onscreen (I don't have the All-22). Let's go to the tape. JAX 1st possession 1st and 10, JAX 36 - 49 blocked out of hole on Hyde 6 yard run (-1,-1) 2nd and 10, JAX 49 - Pass to Hyde, 49 overruns tackle, but slows up Hyde enough for Harry to cleanup for a 6 yard gain (0,-1) 3rd and 4, BUF 45 - 49 fights off a block to stuff Lawrence for a 2 yard gain (+1,0) 4th and 2, BUF 43 - Flat pass to Agnew, who outruns 49 for 22 yard gain (-1,-1) Refs missed Jagoffs LT pulling out early, which he did all game long with no false start call. JAX 2nd possession 1st and 10, JAX 25 - Pass to tight end who fell, 49 missed the INT, no end zone replay (0,-1) 3rd and 11, JAX 24 - 49 drops, Lawrence has nowhere to go, Addison with the sack (+1,0) JAX 3rd possession 1st and 15, JAX 20 - 49 rushes Lawrence, about two steps away when Lawrence completes the pass for 12 yard gain (0,0) 3rd and 4, JAX 31 - 49 drops, slant to Shenault, 49 comes up to make the stick, but after the first down (0,0) Tre' had primary coverage, an Jagoffs ran a "legal" pick play, so can't fault 49 for the 1st down. 1st and 10, BUF 48 - 49 fights off blocks and cleans up tackle on 33 for 1 yard gain (+1,+1) 5 yard HTF penalty on Wrap tacked on to the end of the run. 1st and 10, BUF 42 - Quick out to Chenault, 49 overruns the tackle, with a little block in the back help from 69 of the Jags (+1,+2) 3rd and 5, BUF 37 - Lawrence throws a quacking duck, 49 unable to scoop it up off the carpet (0,+2) Inexplicably, McD declines an actual holding call drawn by Jerry Hughes, and Wright kicks a 55-yarder. Huge mistake. JAX 4th possession 2nd and 6, JAX 26 - Hyde run, 49 jumps into the hole and makes a 2 yard TFL (+1,+3) Lotulelei called for defensive holding, which you can't see on the TV, and no replay. 3rd and 7, JAX 34 - 49 lines up on LOS to right, blitzes, pushed aside while Beathard lobbed a mortar to Arnold (0,+3) No excuse for the D not to INT or knock down this quacking duck. Tre' bit HARD on the out and up. 2nd and 7, BUF 35 - 49 on a delayed blitz, lays out Beathard with a head butt, but pass to EZ did fall incomplete (-1,+2) 15-yard RTP call for inadequately disguising the head butt. JAX 5th possession Kneel down after Bills punt. First half observations 49 was a bit of a Dow Joneser in the first half. There were two missed INT opportunities that could have swung the game more in the Bills favor. He did show some skill as a pass rusher, getting some pressure, but his unfamiliarity led to an RTP. He ain't an RB, so you can't go helmet to helmet with a QB in the pocket. JAX 6th possession No plays directly involving 49 JAX 7th possession 1st and 10, BUF 30 - 49 drops, Lawrence nowhere to go, AJ with the sack (+1,+3) 2nd and 10, BUF 30 - 49 drops, Lawrence completes seem pass to Arnold between 49 and Cookie for a 1st down (-1,+2) 1st and 15, BUF 25 - 49 blitzes unabated to QB, Lawrence escapes right, 49 dives and trips up Lawrence, but he regains his feet to throw INC at the BUF 5 (+1,+3) Haterz were screaming in the GDT about 49 not getting the sack. 2nd and 15, BUF 25 - 49 fights off blocks to clean up on 5 yard run to Hyde (0,+3) 4th and inches, BUF 10 - 49 blocked as Lawrence sneaks for the 1st down (-1,+2) 1st and goal, BUF 4 - 49 fight through blocks to hold Hyde to 1 yard (+1,+3) JAX 8th possession 1st and 10, JAX 20 - 49 sheds block to tackle Hyde, but after 5 yard gain (-1,+2) JAX 9th possession 1st and 10, JAX 47- 49 with a run blitz tackles Hyde for no gain (+1,+3) 3rd and 10, JAX 47 - 49 blitzes up the middle, fights off hold/HTF (no call), and hurries Lawrence into throwing long and incomplete (+1,+4) JAX 10th possession 2nd and 12, JAX 46 - 49 fights off blocks to tackle Hyde for 3 yard gain (+1,+4) Conclusions 1. 49 and the defense did not lose the game today. JAX never found the EZ, even while the offense coughed it up in Bills territory. You hold a team to 9, the Bills offense should win 10 out of 10 times. 2. 49 showed some skills rushing the passer today. He had the bad RTP penalty, but I attribute that to his unfamiliarity with hitting a QB in the pocket. 3. Had a number of run-stuffing plays and plays where he shed blocks. He still had some times where he got blocked, but he fought through more of that today than he has all season. 4. The two dropped INTs figured huge. He needs to come up with at least one of those. Just one more play from 49 might have won us this game. 5. I like the improvement. This kid is getting better as the season rolls along. 49 grades overall: Squeelers - B+ Fish - INC (DVR #### the bed) WTF's - B- Erlers - A+ Chefs - A- Titians - C Fish - B (1st half dragged down the grade) Jagoffs - B (Two dropped INTs dragged down the grade)
  4. The Week 8 Fish v. Bills edition of The Edmunds Report is here. I will state what I see on a play, then assign a point system -1, 0, +1, and keep a running total. I'll ignore plays where he's not involved and only look at coverage if he's onscreen (I don't have the All-22). Based on feedback, I'll also be looking at plays where 49 is rushing the passer to determine his relative effectiveness there. Let's go to the tape. Fish 1st possession 1st and 10 Fish 26 - Middle run to Gaskin, 49 cleans up on Taron Johnson tackle for 1 yd gain (+1,+1) 2nd and 9, Fish 27 - 49 drops, Tua runs around, tackled and throws incomplete left, looked like a sack from here (+1,+2) 1st and 10, Fish 50 - 49 screened away from middle run by Gaskin for 7 yd gain (-1,+1) 2 and 3, Bills 43 - 49 drops, Tua airmails it over Levi's head (+1,+2) 3rd and 3, Bills 43 - 49 blitzes, stoned, Tua completes left pass to Waddle for 1st down, but 49 chases him down and makes tackle after Tre' misses the tackle (0,+2) They call 49 for the offside, but this was the offside by Addison 1st and 10, Bills 36 - Middle run, 49 blocked upfield, Hyde on tackle for 4 yard gain (0,+2) 2nd and 6, Bills 32 - 49 drops, Tua completes 1st down pass in a tight window between 49 and Cookie (-1,+1) 1st and 10, Bills 23 - 49 overruns hole to left, Gaskins 5 yds. (-1,0) 2nd and 5, Bills 18 - 49 blitzes, stoned by OT, Tua throws incomplete left (0,0) 3rd and 5, Bills 18 - 49 drops, Tua throws short and Cookie makes immediate 2 yd TFL (+1,+1), forcing FG, which the Fish MISSIT, NOONAN, MISS.... Fish 2nd possession 1st and 15, Fish 20 - 49 drops, Tua completes quick slant to Parker, again in a tight window between 48 and Cookie for a 14 yd gain (-1,0) 2nd and 1, Fish 34 - 49 goes left, Gaskin cuts back, 49 makes tackle, but not until Gaskin gets the 1st down (-1,-1) 1st and 10, Fish 41 - 49 bites hard on PA, Tua hits Parker in the hole behind 49 for 15 yards and a 1st down (-1,-2) 2nd and 15, Bills 49 - 49 drops, Tua has nowhere to go, and ADDISON WITH THE SACK! (+1,-1) Fish 3rd possession 1st and 10, Fish 35 - Gaskin middle run, 49 holds up and stuffs him for a 2 yd gain (+1,0) 2nd and 8, Fish 37 - 49 sheds a block and pounds Ahmed for a 2 yd gain (+1,+1) 3rd and 6, Fish 39 - 49 drops, Gaskin makes the catch on the circle route, 49 misses the tackle, 22 yard gain (-1,0) Lots of pre-snap confusion, McD running up the sideline missed calling the TO, which we clearly needed on this play 1st and 10, Bills 39 - 49 blocked downfield, 5 yard gain by Ahmed (-1,-1) 2nd and 5, Bills 34 - 49 overruns play, Ahmed cuts back for 3 yard gain (0,-1) 3rd and 2, Bills 31 - Gaskin up the gut, 49 fights through traffic to clean up 2 yard TFL with Hyde and Oliver , bringing up 4th down (+1,0) Fish 4th possession 2nd and 10, Fish 7 - Ahmed cutback OT run, 49 caught up inside, chases to assist on tackle, but after 12 yard run for 1st down (-1,-1) 2nd and 2, Fish 39 - Gaskin middle run, 49 overruns it, chases from behind to make tackle, but after 1st down (-1,-2) 1st and 10, Fish 42 - 49 drops, quick buttonhook to Gesicki, Cookie misses tackle, but 49 cleans up for 3 yard gain (+1,-1) 2nd and 7, Fish 45 - 49 run blitz, chases down and makes tackle after 1 yard gain (+1,0) 3rd and 11, Fish 41 - 49 blitzes, stoned, but Tua throws INC (0,0) Fish 5th possession No plays involved 49 after the IG on Josh and the fumble recovery by Hyde First half observations Extremely uneven half for 49. I get why my boy @Ralonzohad him at -6, he had a ton of negative plays in the 1st half. Made a couple of nice TFLs, but also overran plays and allowed Tua to make completions in tight windows. His two worst plays were biting on the PA fake and giving Parker a 1st down, and the missed tackle on the Gaskins circle route. We need better from 49 in the 2nd half. Fish 6th possession 1st and 10, Fish 21 - 49 holds at point of attack, 2 yard run for Gaskin (+1,+1) 2nd and 8, Fish 23 - 49 blitzing on an all-out jailbreak, Tua lobs a ball in the flat for 1 yd (+1,+2) 3rd and 7, Fish 24 - 49 drops, Tua scrambles short of 1st down (+1,+3) Fish 7th possession 1st and 10, Fish 46 - 49 drops, Tua goes to Gaskin in the flat, and COOKIE DESTROYS HIM!!! (+1,+4) That hit woke the Bills up, and it was over for the Fish, they just didn't know it yet 2nd and 11, Fish 45 - 49 drops, Tua under pressure with nowhere to go, lobs it OB to avoid the sack (+1,+5) 3rd and 11, Fish 45 - 49 blitzes, stoned, but other pressure causes Tua to throw INC (0,+5) Fish 8th possession 1st and 10, Fish 17 - 49 holds point of attack, blocked away, but Ahmed held for 1 yd gain (0,+5) 3rd and 2, Fish 25 - 49 blitzes, stoned, but Tua throws INC (0,+5) Fish 9th possession 2nd and 5, Fish 42 - Handoff to Gaskin on a sweep, 49 sniffs it out and destroys Gaskin for a 1 yd TFL (+1,+6) Refs spotted it at the 42, but it was clearly a 1 yd TFL, refs screwing us again 1st and Goal, Bills 4 (after the refs had no call on Groot helmet popping off, or Gesicki's push off, joke) - 49 cracks Gaskin in the hole, except Tua kept the RPO and got to the 1 (-1,+5) First negative play of the half for 49 2nd and Goal, Bills 1 - 49 picks the wrong hole, as Gaskin scores (-1,+4) Fish 10th possession 49 was not significantly involved on any of the Fish plays on this possession Fish 11th possession 49 was not significantly involved on any of the Fish plays on this possession Conclusions 1. As bad as his first half was, 49's 2nd half was amazing. His only negative plays in the 2nd half came on the goal line after the refs ignored Groot's helmet popping off like Rock 'em, Sock 'em Robots and an Angry Run quality stiff arm by Gesicki on Micah Hyde. 2. 49 rushed the passer more in this game than he has the entire rest of the season. It's clearly not his strength, as he will typically run into blockers and has no moves to avoid them. 3. Still bites too hard on play action. The way we were controlling the Fish run game, he should have ignored it and dropped into coverage. 4. When 49 gets there, he brings the WOOD!! Lots of punishment handed out by 49 this week. 5. If 49's first half had been even average, he would have deserved a game ball. 49 grades overall: Squeelers - B+ Fish - INC (DVR #### the bed) WTF's - B- Erlers - A+ Chefs - A- Titians - C Fish - B (1st half dragged down the grade)
  5. The Week 6 Bills v. Titians edition of The Edmunds Report is here. I will state what I see on a play, then assign a point system -1, 0, +1, and keep a running total. I'll ignore plays where he's not involved and only look at coverage if he's onscreen (I don't have the All-22). I'll also flag plays for the haterz so they can skip the rest. Based on feedback, I'll also be looking at plays where 49 is rushing the passer to determine his relative effectiveness there. Let's go to the tape. Titians 1st possession 3rd and 11, TIT 9 - 49 drops deep, Tanny flips to TE, 49 makes tackle (HATERZ PLAY), but after giving up first down (-1,-1) Titians 2nd possession 1st and 10, TIT 21 - Off tackle run to Henry, 49 blocked at point of attack, sheds block to cleanup on Groot's tackle (0,-1) 2nd and 10, TIT 21 - 49 held by Lewan on screen block, Henry trips and Tanny throws INC, but 49 was in position to make the tackle (0,-1) 3rd and 10, TIT 21 - 49 drops, Tanny has nowhere to go, scrambles, 49 runs right at him and Tanny air mails a ball into no man's land (+1,0) Titians 3rd possession 1st and 10, TIT 34 - Toss sweep right to Henry, 49 chases down the line, sheds a block and is in the pile tackling Henry for a 3 yard gain (+1,+1) Titians 4th possession 1st and 10, TIT 24 - Middle run to Henry, 49 lined up over left tackle, blocked further left by Saffold, as Henry hits the hole, 49 is at least 5 yards away and has no chance (HATERZ PLAY), Poyer, Taron Johnson, and Tre' White all held, no call on any of them, you know what happened next (-1,0) Titians 5th possession 1st and 10, TIT 21 - Off tackle run left to Henry, 49 blocked in the back past the hole by 64 (no call), 49 gets a shoulder into Henry and Star and Groot clean up for a 2-yard gain (+1,+1) 2nd and 8, TIT 23 - 49 follows tight end in motion, then when Tanny scrambles, drops into zone following Tanny's eyes, as Tanny airmails it over Rogers's head (+1,+2) 1st and 10, BUF 29 - Pitch to Henry left, Addison does his best Josh Norman impersonation while eating Henry's stiff arm, but slows him up just enough for 49 to come in and lay the wood for a 3 yard TFL (+1,+3) 3rd and 6, BUF 25 - 49 rushes the passer, not much penetration, looked ineffective, Tanny throws INC (0,+3) Titians 6th possession 1st and 10, BUF 11 - 49 blocked by Saffold on Henry run, 49 sheds block and makes tackle (HATERZ PLAY), but not until Henry makes a 7-yard gain and Lewan gets racked up (-1,+2) 2nd and 3, BUF 4 - 49 on right side of D in front of Addison who crashes down and bites hard on the RPO to Henry, while Tanny runs into the gaping hole left by Addison and 49 is blocked to the outside by 71 (HATERZ PLAY). 49 gets his left arm on Tanny's package, but that's it, as Tanny fights through Poyer's tackle into the EZ (-1,+1) Titians 7th possession 1st and 10, TIT 19 - Henry off-tackle left, 49 makes the tackle, but after a 6-yard gain (-1,0) First half observations I understand the haterz frustration with 49. While he didn't exactly hurt us, he didn't exactly help us either. We needed someone to step up on D and make a play, and no one did. Tanny did not throw his way at all in the first half, but as we know, that changed in the second half. Titians 8th possession 1st and 10, TIT 33 - 49 bites on PA to Henry, then drops, but too late, Tanny complete to AJ in the hole behind 49, 8 yard completion (-1,0) 2nd and 2, TIT 41 - 49 run blitz in to left of offense, runs right for 1st down (0,0) 2nd and 10 TIT 44 - Henry off tackle left, cuts back to middle, 49 blocked out of play (HATERZ PLAY), chases Henry, Hyde gets trucked for 19 yard gain (-1,-1) 2nd and 10, BUF 37 - Henry middle run, 49 crashes down from left side of defense and is in on the gang tackle (+1,0) 1st and 10, BUF 15 - Henry middle run, 49 crashes down to right side of defense, overruns the hole, trips and lands on his stomach (HATERZ PLAY, but well-deserved, 49 looked stupid on this one), Henry with a 4 yard gain. (-1,-1) Titians 9th possession 1st and 10, TIT 35 - Henry left screen, 49 chases, misses tackle but cleaned up for 4-yard gain (0,-1) 3rd and 5, TIT 40 - 49 drops, as well as Obada on a zone blitz, Tanny (gotta give it up to the little *****) hits AJ for 12 yard first down reception in the seam between 49 and Obada (-1,-2) 1st and 10, BUF 47 - Delay draw to Henry, 49 fights off the block and tackles Henry for a 2 yard gain (+1,-1) NEED MORE OF THIS, 49!! 2nd and 17, BUF 32 - Quick slant to AJ, 49 makes immediate tackle for 6 yard gain (+1,0) 3rd and 11, BUF 26 - 49 drops, Tanny dumps to Jones on the crossing route, 49 makes immediate tackle for 4 yard gain to force the FG (+1,+1) Titians 10th possession 1st and 10, TIT 30 - Henry middle run, 49 fights off blocks to help cleanup Star and Taron's tackle for no gain (+1,+2) 1st and 10, BUF 34 - Henry off tackle left, 49 fights through traffic and punks Henry high while Zim gets him low for a 1 yard TFL (+1,+3) 2nd and 11, BUF 35 - 49 drops, Tanny hits 15 on crossing route, with 49 again making an immediate tackle for a 5 yard gain (+1,+4) 3rd and 6, BUF 29 - 49 drops, Tanny goes back to 15, who avoids the tackle by 49 for the 1st down (-1,+3) 2nd and 1, BUF 13 - Henry off-tackle left, Saffold pwns 49 and opens a hole big enough for me to hit (HATERZ PLAY) and Henry walks into the EZ practically untouched (-1,+2) Conclusions 1. 49 was not the reason the Bills lost this game, but he didn't do much to win it, either. 2. As a pass rusher, 49 doesn't have much to offer. It's just not his game. 3. 49 was responsible for 5 catches for 35 yards, no PDs or INTs. 4. I have to agree with the haterz this time that we needed 49 to make a few more plays this week. 49 grades overall: Squeelers - B+ (6 HATERZ PLAYs) Fish - INC (DVR #### the bed) WTF's - B- (7 HATERZ PLAYs) Erlers - A+ (2 HATERZ PLAYs) Chefs - A- (11 HATERZ PLAYs) Titians - C (7 HATERZ PLAYs)
  6. The highly anticipated Week 5 Bills v. Chefs edition of The Edmunds Report is here (had to wait for the NFL Network replay because some idiot forgot to extend the DVR recording after the lightning delay). Chefs 1st possession 2nd and 10, KC 43 - 49 drops shallow, PM INC to Hardman (+1,+1) 3rd and 10, KC 43 - 49 covers RB in flat, PM scrambles the other way for 10 yards (0,+1) 1st and 10, BUF 47 - 49 drops to cover Kelce, PM scrambles and throws OB (+1,+2) 2nd and 10, BUF 47 - Middle run, 49 blocked 8 yards downfield away from run (HATERZ PLAY), 5 yard gain (-1,+1) 3rd and 1, BUF 38 - Middle run, 49 late to hole (HATERZ PLAY), 1st down (-1,0) 1st and 10, BUF 36 - 49 drops, PM scrambles for 3 yards (+1,+1) 1st and 5, BUF 23 (WTF?? After the Chefs were holding, Jesus) - 49 drops, PM complete to BBQ Pringle, 49 makes tackle for 6 yard gain and 1st down (+1,+2) Good play by 49, not his fault the refs ***** up the spot and down/distance. McD going ape#### on sidelines... 1st and 10, BUF 17 - 49 drops, PM pulls it down, scrambles for 3 (+1,+3) 3rd and 12, BUF 22 - 49 covers RB in the flat, PM INC to Tyreek (+1,+4) Chefs 2nd possession 1st and 10, KC 20 - CEH up the gut, 49 blocked 6 yards downfield (HATERZ PLAY), makes tackle for 6 yard gain (-1,+3) 2nd and 4, KC 26 - 49 drops, PM scrambles 4 yards for a 1st down (0,+3) 2nd and 16, KC 39 - Chiefs go off-tackle, 49 slow to recognize, gets tangled up in bodies (HATERZ PLAY), 11 yard run (-1,+2) 1st and 10, BUF 36 - 49 drops, PM completes to RB 1 McKinnon in flat, 49 makes tackle for 9 yard gain (0,+2) 2nd and 2, BUF 10 - CEH middle run, 49 blocked (HATERZ PLAY), assists on tackle for 5 yard gain (-1,+1) 1st and Goal, BUF 5 - 49 drops, PM runs around, then slides at the 6 for the GROOT sack! (+1,+2) Chefs 3rd possession 49 just dropped into coverage for these plays, no real impact, then KC ended up punting Chefs 4th possession 1st and 10, KC 40 - 49 drops into deep zone, PM scrambles for 23 yards (-1,+1) 2nd and 10, BUF 37 - 49 drops to cover Tyreek, PM throws it into the ground (+1,+2) 4th and 5, BUF 32 - 49 drops and covers RB 1, PM lobs it up INC, huge 4th down stop (+1,+3) Chefs 5th possession 2nd and 20, BUF 44 - 49 drops, covers Kelce, PM completes to Kelce, who slips away from 49's tackle (HATERZ PLAY), and gets OB to stop clock after an 8 yard gain (-1,+2) First half observations When 49 dropped into coverage, he was excellent. Against the run, not so much. He is not a run-stuffing thumper who will beat the runner to hole. He's also overpowered by bigger OL, so lots of HATERZ PLAYs in the first half. He's earning his money in coverage, because they rarely throw his way, and when they do, it's for small yardage (he gave up two completions for 14 yards). JEKYLL AND" MICAH HYDE WITH THE PICK 6!!!! (+1,+7) Chefs 8th possession 1st and 10, KC 25 - 49 drops to cover WR, PM rolls out, nowhere to go, lobs ball OB (+1,+8) 1st and 10, KC 47 - 49 drops, covers 81, complete to Kelce, 49 creams Kelce after 11 yard gain (0,+8) 1st and 10, BUF 42 - KC run, 49 blocked 5 yards downfield (HATERZ PLAY), sheds block to make tackle for 9 yard gain (-1,+7) 2nd and 10, BUF 25 - 49 drops, PM complete to Tyreek in seam (HATERZ PLAY) just behind 49 for a 15 yard gain and first down (-1,+6) Chefs 9th possession 1st and 10, KC 48 - 49 drops, PM complete to RB in flat, breaks 49's tackle, but cleaned up by Taron Johnson for 6 yard gain (0,+6) 2nd and 5, BUF 10 - 49 drops, PM complete to RB in flat at BUF 9, 49 is 7-8 yards away at the catch, closes to make tackle at BUF 6, just short of 1st down (+1,+7) 3rd and inches, BUF 6 - Middle run, 49 makes tackle at 1.5 yard line (HATERZ PLAY), first down KC (-1,+6) 1st and goal, BUF 1.5 - Quick flip out to Kelce, who walks in for the TD (HATERZ PLAY), 49 blocked at point of attack (-1,+5) Chefs 10th possession 1st and 10, KC 23 - 49 drops, covers Tyreek, PM throws safety valve into the ground (+1,+6) 2nd and 10, KC 23 - 49 drops, covers Tyreek, PM completes to Tyreek, jukes 49 (HATERZ PLAY) and runs OB for 8 yard gain (-1,+5) 1st and 10, BUF 15 - 49 covers RB in the flat, PM pulls it down, slides at LOS (+1,+6) Conclusions 1. 49 continues to show that his coverage skills are excellent. Mahomes had nowhere to go all night long, while the Bills completely neutralized Kelce and Tyreek. 49 gave up three pass completions for 29 yards, by my count. 2. Haterz will continue to cling to the fact that he is not the prototypical run-stuffing MLB. Most of the HATERZ PLAYS I flagged this week were 49 being blocked downfield. But when he does get there, he destroys whatever he's tackling. Just ask CEH. 3. 49 did not rush the passer at all, as the Bills did not blitz in this game. 4. Biggest Bills road win in my 58-year lifetime, and 49 was a huge part of it. I'm not bothered that he's not a run-stuffer. It's a passing league, which makes it so much more important to cover WRs, TEs, and RBs. The Titians and Henry will be a stiff test next week. 5. I'm glad I started doing this tape breakdown, because I understand 49's game so much better than I did at the beginning of the season. 49 grades overall: Squeelers - B+ (6 HATERZ PLAYs) Fish - INC (DVR #### the bed) WTF's - B- (7 HATERZ PLAYs) Erlers - A+ (2 HATERZ PLAYs) Chefs - A- (11 HATERZ PLAYs)
  7. Week 4 of The Edmunds Report is here. HOU 1st possession 1st and 20, HOU 15 - Middle run, 49 stacks the line, assists Eddie O with tackle, 1 yard (+1, +1) 3rd and 28, HOU 7 - Draw up the middle, 49 blocked downfield, makes contact at 13, knocked on his ass (HATERZ PLAY), still makes tackle for 10 yard gain to force punt (0, +1) HOU 2nd possession 1st and 10, BUF 13 - 49 takes left gap, run goes right for 2 yards (0,+1) 2nd and 8, BUF 11 - Run right, 49 and Cookie combine for the tackle, 5 yard gain (0, +1) 3rd and 3, BUF 6 - 49 blocked on left, run goes right for no gain (0,+1) HOU 3rd possession 1st and 10, BUF 49 - Middle run, 49 overruns the gap (HATERZ PLAY), 12 yard gain (-1,0) 3rd and 10, BUF 37 - 49 drops, makes the INT (+1, +1) HOU was building momentum, 49 snuffed it out, and HOU was DONE! HOU 4th possession 1st and 10, HOU 19 - WR screen to Cooks, 49 pursues and makes tackle for 3 yard gain (+1, +2) HOU 5th possession 1st and 10, HOU 11 - Toss sweep, 49 pursues down the line and makes tackle for a 2 yard gain (+1, +3) 3rd and 9, HOU 12 - 49 drops into coverage, Mills has nowhere to go, Boogie gets his first NFL sack (+1, +4) HOU 6th possession 3rd and 8, HOU 25 - 49 drops, Mills sacked by Star (+1, +5) HOU 7th possession No impact plays before Micah Hyde's INT HOU 8th possession 1st and 10, HOU 25 - Middle run, 49 fights off a block to make the tackle, 4 yard gain (+1,+6) Hard to have a much better half than 49 did here. Only one negative play, although the haterz will point out the play where he got trucked for a 10 yard gain. He still made the tackle and forced the punt, so I rated the play a 0. He really didn't rush the passer at all because the D line was doing just fine on its own. Mills was running for his life in the first half. HOU 9th possession 3rd and 1, HOU 34 - 49 blocked at point of attack, makes tackle but gives up 1st down (-1, +5) 2nd and 18, HOU 29 - 49 blitzes, gets there just after Mills throws the screen for 8 yard gain (0, +5) 3rd and 10, HOU 37 - 49 drops, Mills has nowhere to go, dumps it OB to prevent sack (+1, +6) HOU 10th possession 2nd and 2, HOU 23 - 49 covers 88 for Texans, Mills completes the 1st down pass, Edmunds makes the tackle, holds him up, AND CAM LEWIS PUNCHES IT OUT FOR THE FUMBLLLLLLEEEEE!!!! Bills recover (+1,+7) Bills are up 33-0 at this point, and Edmunds is pulled to give the backups time. Conclusions 1. Fantastic game by Edmunds. He created two turnovers, the INT and the Lewis forced fumble. 2. His coverage skills were on full display today. Mills had nowhere to go, as 49 and the Bills backfield had HOU receivers blanketed, leading directly to coverage sacks and pressure, which Mills did not handle well. 3. Only one play where he rushed the passer, the screen where he just missed getting there. 4. HATERZ PLAYs were at a minimum this week, hopefully they will continue to decline. 5. Really wish my DVR didn't croak during the Fish game. 6. Next week is the acid test, Kelce and the Chefs at Arrowhead. That will tell us if 49's improvement is real. 49 grades overall: Squeelers - B+ (6 HATERZ PLAYs) WTF's - B- (7 HATERZ PLAYs) Erlers - A+ (2 HATERZ PLAYs)
  8. Since Edmunds is still getting so much hate, I'm going to do this weekly. The PIT game convinced me that much of the Edmunds hate is undeserved, but I want to see if I'm missing anything. I'll use the same point system -1, 0, +1, and keep a running total. I'll ignore plays where he's not involved and only look at coverage if he's onscreen (I don't have the All-22). I'll also flag plays for the haterz so they can skip the rest. Let's go to the tape. WTF 1st possession 1st and 10, WTF 21. Run off RT, TE overruns the hole, blocked out (HATERZ PLAY), 9 yard gain (-1,-1) 3rd and 2, WTF 29. McKissic comes out, throws a pick on TE, draws the OPI after first down by McLaurin (+1,0) 3rd and 12, WTF 19. TE covers Logan Thomas in flat, makes tackle 1 yard short of first down (+1,+1) WTF 2nd possession 3rd and 8, WTF 37. TE blitzes, but peels off to cover RB in the flat, Muffler goes to Logan Thomas, fumble (+1,+2) WTF 3rd possession 1st and 10, WTF 25. TE blitzes, doesn't get there, 10 yard reception (0,+2) 1st and 10, WTF 35. Run, TE blocked at point of attack, 4 yard gain (0,+2) 2nd and 6, WTF 39. TE drops into coverage on the right, Muffler throws left, Poyer INT (0,+2) WTF 4th possession 1st and 10, WTF 25. TE calls a line shift, Gibson up the gut, stuffed by TE in the hole for 2 yards (+1,+3) 2nd and 8, WTF 27. TE drops into coverage, screen to Gibson, TE blocked 11 yards downfield by 79 (HATERZ PLAY), turns to chase Gibson, runs into a pile of people (-1,+2) You know the rest, complete Bills D collapse, 73 yard TD WTF 5th possession 1st and 10, BUF 24. WR end around, TE blocked backward at point of attack, 7 yard gain (-1,+1) 2nd and 3, BUF 17. Gibson sweep, TE pursues down line, Poyer 1 yard TFL (0,+1) 3rd and 4, BUF 18. TE drops into short zone, covers 13, then slides to 17, Logan Thomas settles in seam behind TE, 15 yard completion (0,+1) 2nd and goal, BUF 3. TE drops into coverage, Muffler takes off and beats everyone to the pylon (0,+1) WTF 6th possession 1st and 10, WTF 25. TE drops into coverage, Muffler chased OB, 1 yard gain (0,+1) 2nd and 9, WTF 26. TE drops into coverage, Gibson sweep TFL by Cookie (0,+1) 3rd and 10, WTF 25. TE drops into coverage, Muffler complete to 13, TE WITH THE STUFF, laying the lumber on 13, 3 yards short of 1st down (+1,+2) WTF 7th possession 1st and 10, WTF 25. TE drops, McKissic run, TE blocked 5 yards downfield (HATERZ PLAY), 10 yards, 1st down (-1,+1) 1st and 10, WTF 35. TE drops into coverage on Logan Thomas, Muffler throws it, Thomas tips it, Taron Johnson INT. Did not see the holding call on TE, which was declined, looked like he had good coverage otherwise (0,+1) 1st and 10, WTF 41. TE covers McKissic in the flat, Muffler throws to McKissic, 4 yard gain (0,+1) 1st half observations: 1. Up and down half for TE. 2. I flagged three HATERZ PLAYs that the haterz will use to talk down TE. 3. Neither Rapelisberger nor Muffler threw much TE's way in coverage. Those who keep saying that TE is terrible in coverage need to show us some tape, 'cause I'm not seeing it. WTF 8th Possession 1st and 10, WTF 40. TE on a delayed blitz, Muffler with 1st down completion to McLaurin (0,+1) 1st and 10, BUF 45. McKissic run, TE sets edge, McK cuts inside, 5 yard run (0,+1) 2nd and 5, BUF 40. Jet sweep, TE chases down the line, cleans up the 5 yard TFL with Hyde (+1,+2) 3rd and 10, BUF 45. TE in coverage on Logan Thomas, Muffler throws incomplete to WR left (+1,+3) WTF 9th possession 1st and 15, WTF 5. Gibson run, TE sheds a block, dives for the tackle but Gibson fakes him out his jockstrap (HATERZ PLAY, but can't lie, TE looked stupid on this one), 7 yard gain (-1,+2) 2nd and 8, WTF 12. TE drops, Muffler goes past LOS and throws, illegal forward pass, loss of down (+1,+3) 3rd and 13, WTF 7. TE drops, Muffler throws his way, and Hyde makes the pick. It looks like TE baited him into the INT, something I saw another poster complain about, that TE never "baits" the QB. Sure looks like he did there (+1,+4) WTF 10th possession 1st and 10, WTF 25. TE washed out a bit, 3 yard run gain (0,+4) WTF 11th possession 1st and 10, WTF 1. TE piles into line, 1 yard run (0,+4) 2nd and 9, WTF 2. TE drops, Muffler does not throw his way yet again, dropped pass (0,+4) 3rd and 9, WTF 2. TE drops, Muffler hits McKissic on safety valve, jukes TE for first down (HATERZ PLAY, but agree, TE needs to make that tackle short of the sticks) (-1,+3) 1st and 10, WTF 14. TE drops, Muffler pulls it down and scrambles for 7 (0,+3) 2nd and 3, WTF 21. Muffler with the play action, throws and TREMAINE EDMUNDS, WITH THE REJECTION! (in my best Marv Albert) Great play by TE, Muffler caught the rejection, and TE cleaned up with a 1 yard TFL (+1,+4) 3rd and 5, WTF 20. TE drops, Muffler pulls it down after finding no one open, and dives short of 1st down (0,+4) 4th and 1, WTF 24. TE plugs up the middle, and Cookie cleans Muffler's clock (+1,+5) WTF 12th possession 1st and 10, WTF 25. Gibson off-tackle, TE sheds blocks and makes the tackle, 7 yard gain (HATERZ PLAY) (0,+5) 2nd and 3, WTF 32. Gibson up the gut, TE sheds a block, completely whiffs on the tackle (HATERZ PLAY, but again, TE looked stupid on this one) 1st down run (-1,+4) 2nd and 13, WTF 35. TE covers Logan again, makes tackle after completion to other receiver (0,+4) 1st and 10, BUF 44. TE drops, Muffler throws to McLaurin, TE misses the tackle (-1,+3) Conclusions 1. Edmunds is a good MLB, not great. The Bills will re-sign him if the price is right. 2. His coverage skills are excellent. They rarely throw his way, and when they do, he usually makes the tackle for minimal gain. 3. The haterz had more fodder with today's game, because there were two plays I saw where TE looked completely stupid. I didn't see that against PIT. 4. I thought TE had a better game against the Squeelers than he did against the WTF's. My grades for TE so far: Squeelers - B+ WTF's - B- For the haterz, I get it, I was with you. You see one or two plays that look bad, and you extrapolate to TE's entire body of work. The best example is coverage skills. I see the complaints, but outside a TE seam route against PIT, TE is solid in coverage. If you have examples that prove that wrong, please post. For now, I'm looking forward to seeing TE get better.
  9. I came home from a two-week vacation to find the Squeelers game on my DVR. Rather than deleting it outright, I decided to iso on Tremaine Edmunds to see how he played. I'll just list the plays where he was directly involved and you can see him on screen. I don't have the all-22, so this will not be an in-depth analysis of coverage unless I can see him on the screen. Many say he's weak at the point of attack, doesn't shed blocks, etc. I'll grade the play +1, 0, -1, and keep a running total. Let's go to the tape: Squeelers 1st possession 1st and 10, PIT 25, Najee Harris run, TE tackle, +2 yards (+1,+1) 2nd and 8, WR screen, TE knocked on his ass by 51 (-1,0) 1st and 10, 4 yard run, TE blocked 8 yards downfield by 53 (-1,-1) 2nd and 6, 2 yard run, TE blocked 4 yards downfield by 69 (0,-1) Squeelers 2nd possession 3rd and 4, PIT 26, BR looks to WR in flat, TE slides over, BR pulls it down, strip sack but PIT recovers (+1,0) BR throws the ball if TE isn't there Squeelers 3rd possession 2nd and 4, PIT 19, 2 yard run, TE chases down the line and jumps on the pile after tackle made (0,0) 1st and 10, PIT 33, WR screen, TE blocked 10 yards downfield by 51 (-1,-1) 3rd and 5, PIT 38, TE covers PIT TE, BR throws to WR INC, forcing punt (+1,0) Squeelers 4th possession 2nd and 10, PIT 6, 2 yard run, TE blocked by 65 at point of attack (0,0) 3rd and 12, PIT 4, BR pass tipped high and TE just misses the INT off his fingertips, forcing punt (+1,+1) He was unfairly criticized for not coming up with the INT, but that would have been #LegendofDirtyKiko stuff. Squeelers 5th possession 1st and 10, PIT 45, WR screen, TE jogs to the side of the field while JuJu breaks a few tackles for the 1st down (-1,0) Really didn't like the looks of this one, TE not hustling. 1st and 10, BUF 45, TE blitzes on a stunt, Bills get good pressure on BR, who gets a gift from the ref that he was outside the tackle box when he was still inside it, so no IG (+1,+1) 2nd and 20, TE adjusts the D-line, PIT 0 yard run, TE blocked at point of attack by 69 (+1,+2) Line adjustment helped Bills hold PIT to no gain 3rd and 20, TE lines up 10 yards deep, PIT pass to Harris just past LOS bobbled, but TE closed the distance and would have destroyed Harris on the catch (+1,+3) Squeelers 6th possession, kneel down at the end of the half. So at the half, TE is a +3 for plays he was involved in, some good, some bad, but overall good. It looks to me like he's playing, not thinking, and that's always good. On the negative side, he can be overpowered by bigger linemen. Is he a stud? No, he's not the next Butkus, Urlacher, or Kuechly. But so far, he looks like a serviceable Mike. Some have said maybe he should go outside. I see indications that he might do well there. Squeelers 7th possession 1st and 10, PIT 25, 8 yard run, TE blocked away from run lane by 65 (-1,+2) 2nd and 1, 1 yard run, TE blocked at point of attack, shed to clean up on tackle (0,+2) 1st and 10, WR screen for 6, TE was blitzing (0,+2) 2nd and 5, BUF 7, PIT 1 yard run, TE shed a block at the 5 by 53, and made the tackle at the 6 (+1,+3) 3rd and 4, TE covers TE and they both go to the ground, BR pass to Harris in flat INC, forcing FG (+1,+4) Squeelers 8th possession 1st and 10, PIT 35, TE blitzes off the edge, BR throws and TREMAINE EDMUNDS, WITH THE REJECTION!! (in my best Marv Albert) I'd give this a +5, but I made the rules earlier (+1,+5) 3rd and inches, PIT 41, TE gets blocked 4 yards downfield by 53 (again), 1st down (-1,+4) 2nd and 10, PIT 47, TE loses 88 in zone, 24 yard completion in the seam (-1,+3) 1st and goal, BUF 4, TE stands up PIT OL and plugs the hole, -1 run (+1,+4) Squeelers 9th possession 2nd and 12, PIT 46, TE chases Harris down the line, sheds a block from 81, and creams Harris after a 5 yard gain (+1,+5) 1st and 10, BUF 23 (after the bull#### PI call on Levi), Harris counter run for 18, TE chases down from behind and makes the tackle (0,+5) Harris was not in TE's hole, and he saved the TD with that tackle, hence the 0 and not the -1 you were expecting. Cookie missed the tackle in the hole. Squeelers 10th possession 1st and 10, PIT 30, Harris 3 yard run, TE blocked 7 yards downfield by 76 (0,+5) Edmunds was not directly involved in any of the remaining plays. My conclusions after the game: 1. The play of Tremaine Edmunds was in no way responsible for this loss. The only completion made his way was the TE seam pass. A QB as good as BR would have exploited Edmunds if he was weak in coverage. He made the tackles he was supposed to make, and when he didn't, others did. 2. There were a number of line shifts and DB shifts that TE called throughout the game that appeared to work. That's a soft skill that doesn't get enough credit around here. 3. There were a couple plays that he was blocked downfield one-on-one. These are the plays that the Edmunds haterz highlight, and to be honest, I was one of them. I need to see more from him, but I feel better about #49 after taking the time to go over this tape.
  10. I think it's time, watching him play his 4th season, that we have to finally admit that Tremaine Edmunds is simply not a very good MLB. This is a glamour position in a McD defense and he rarely makes any plays. On top of that he struggles to even make routine plays. Sure he racks up tackle numbers and a bogus pro Bowl nod last year hugging guys down 8 yards downfield as a 3 down LB in the middle of this D, but that's about it. He grades out poor in coverage, misses tackles, struggles to get off blocks and is indecisive out there. Edmunds was probably the only weak link out there on D today and was outplayed by journeyman AJ Klein when he left the game with cramps. I wanted to give him time realizing that he was so young and learning a new position but 4 years is enough. The Bills who will be cap strapped next year should not have picked up his 12.7 million option because he doesn't warrant the salary, the trade up for the pick and option pick up will go down as a rare Beane whiff imo. I hope I'm wrong but I don't see it an Edmunds turnaround happening.
  11. Is he really as bad as he looks to me? What do you guys think as it's now another year starting up -- today he did not impress. Just doesn't seem to have instincts still and gets pushed around. I know we sometimes have bashed good players like this -- aka Gilmore.
  12. Are you willing to pay something similar for an Edmunds extension?
  13. 5 years, $95M, $40.5M guaranteed at signing. That's awful steep. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/31856418/sources-fred-warner-san-francisco-49ers-agree-5-year-95-million-extension
  14. EDIT: Wr's came out today so i added in Diggs.....Every year ESPN does their positional rankings. They poll execs, coaches, and players to come to their conclusions. Some of our guys came in at real nice spots. I hadnt seen this covered anywhere in here so i figured i'd toss it up. I personally think Allen, Dawkins, and white came in where they should while Edmunds maybe came in a tick high. Dawkins was just outside the top ten as the first honorable mention named but if you take out the RT's in front of him it puts him as LT #9 if i'm not mistaken. And our safeties continue to be criminally underrated. Neither one even made it to the honorable mentions lists. Anyways i'll post links to the pages and paste the writeups of our guys. Its ESPN+ plus content so i dont know that its available for everyone to see. Sorry if this is too much info for one spot. I really didnt think a thread for each ranking was a good move. Also, Wr’s, Rb’s, and Te’s havnt been ranked yet. When they are I’ll be sure to update this for Diggs slot. https://www.espn.com/nfl/insider/story/_/id/31800661/ranking-nfl-top-10-quarterbacks-2021-execs-coaches-players-make-their-picks 5. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills Highest ranking: 2 | Lowest ranking: 9 Age: 25 | Last year's ranking: Unranked Allen wasn't much of a consideration for the top 10 rankings a year ago. Now, the majority of voters have him in their top five after a massive third season in Buffalo. "The growth was pretty impressive," said an NFL offensive coach. "There were times when he was so in command of the offense, and when he's on top of his protections pre-snap, he's incredibly tough to beat." Allen ranked third in the NFL in QBR (81.7) after a pedestrian 49.5 over his first two seasons, which was 27th out of 35 qualified quarterbacks. His 37 touchdown passes surpassed his previous two-year total (30). Evaluators point to his four-touchdown performance on Monday Night Football against the 49ers and his 324 yards in the playoffs vs. the Colts as growth examples. Indy's zone defense made him escape the pocket and throw from the near-sideline, and he handled it all game. "His biggest weakness is also what makes him so good -- his competitiveness, and wanting to make the best play," an AFC scout said. "He'll hold onto the ball a little too long or bail on the pocket too early. He often gets away with that because he's so strong and can break tackles, but against good defenses, he might press, and it gets him into trouble." https://www.espn.com/nfl/insider/story/_/id/31765336/ranking-nfl-top-10-linebackers-2021-execs-coaches-players-make-their-picks 8. Tremaine Edmunds, Buffalo Bills Highest ranking: 1 | Lowest ranking: Unranked Age: 23 | Last year's ranking: 7 Edmunds' potential is so expansive that this ranking feels too low. He is 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds, with incredible downhill ability and range. "This guy is tough -- very rangy against the pass, good instincts," an NFC coach said. "Tough for us to deal with." Man coverage is not his strength, but Edmunds can use that 4.5-second 40-yard dash speed to diagnose short passes and wash them out. Edmunds covered 4,359 yards when traveling above 12 mph, per Next Gen Stats, the highest total of the group. And at age 23, Edmunds is still ascending. "In zone defense where he can come downhill, he's really good," the coach said https://www.espn.com/nfl/insider/story/_/id/31771608/ranking-nfl-top-10-cornerbacks-2021-execs-coaches-players-make-their-picks 5. Tre'Davious White, Buffalo Bills Highest ranking: 2 | Lowest ranking: 9 Age: 26 | Last year's ranking: 3 White is a coach's dream. He's so smooth in his fundamentals that ESPN NFL analyst and friend of the Top 10 Matt Bowen calls White the Tim Duncan of the NFL. With 15 picks and 54 pass deflections since entering the league in 2017, White is a top-five fixture. "Not a blazer, but very quick," an NFC coordinator said. "Instinctive, great footwork, has the ball skills you want, breaks on the ball well." White can play man or zone equally as effective. One NFC coach pointed out that Buffalo is a team of overachievers in some ways, and White embodies that -- not a Ramsey-type athlete but can be as good as anyone with smarts and staying under control https://www.espn.com/nfl/insider/story/_/id/31789857/ranking-nfl-top-10-offensive-tackles-2021-execs-coaches-players-make-their-picks Dion Dawkins, Buffalo Bills: "He's closer to elite than you'd think. He looks like he has a mediocre body, but you'll finish the game and realize he had his way in pass protection." -- AFC scout https://www.espn.com/nfl/insider/story/_/id/31739496/ranking-nfl-top-10-wide-receivers-2021-execs-coaches-players-make-their-picks 3. Stefon Diggs, Buffalo Bills Highest ranking: 2 | Lowest ranking: 8 Age: 27 | Last year's ranking: Honorable mention Some evaluators wondered aloud how Diggs would handle Buffalo, a new offense and a (then) inaccurate quarterback in Josh Allen after the trade from Minnesota. Answer: Like an elite receiver should. Diggs vaulted from fringe top-10 guy to one of the game's best thanks to a truly dominant season. Allen's new BFF led the league in targets (166), catches (127) and receiving yards (1,535). "Years ago, one of [Minnesota's] receivers got hurt and they put in this new receiver, Diggs," recalled a veteran AFC defensive coach. "Smaller guy, more of a slot receiver at the time -- we figured it shouldn't be a problem. We get in the game and he had a pretty damn good day. He's been [great] ever since." Diggs produced 20.3 receptions above expected, per NFL Next Gen Stats, by far the highest clip in the NFL. Though Diggs was unhappy in Minnesota, those who coached him or followed him closely knew he would thrive when made the focal point of a high-level offense. He was a primary option for the Vikings but he shared that role with Adam Thielen. "He's so competitive that his demeanor and ability had the opposite effect that some thought -- he lifted the entire offense up with his standard of play and his ability to get open and make tough catches," an AFC exec said. Added an AFC coordinator: "Practices like every day is a game. He's known for that. Really quick, great route runner, knack for getting open."
  15. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-2021-fearless-forecasts-from-mvp-to-sack-leader-to-first-qb-benched-predictions-in-19-categories/ Interesting....Curious though.
  16. I had no idea that Tremaine Edmunds' father was All Pro Ferrell Edmunds who played for the Fins from '88 to '92. Anyone remember how Ferrell played against the Bills?
  17. Now that the draft is over and the Bills have until Monday to decide on whether to pick up his 12.791M dollar 5th year option for the 2022 season. Was interested to see where fans stood on this.
  18. They haven't posted it broken up into segments yet and the time stamp seems to keep moving as the live show continues. Little tid-bits: -All the Edmunds brothers agree that the favorite child is Trey -Edmunds gives himself a "B-" for his play so far. Says there's a lot more he can do. -Discusses the Children's book he wrote with his brothers "My Brother's Keeper What That Means to Me" -McKenzie tells his story of picking up the nickname "Lil' Dirty" from Quinton Spain. Apparently it wasn't widespread until this year, when Coach McD asked Stefon Diggs a question in team meeting and then asked if he wanted to "phone a friend" and said "I'm going to call Lil' Dirty" then the whole team picked it up. -On FA, Isaiah says he would love to be back in Buffalo if he gets the opportunity but it's his agent's decision now (that struck me as weird, doesn't the player want to choose? but I took it to mean he shouldn't say anything that would interfere with his agent's ability to negotiate for him). -He could have thrown a pass last year, but Daboll always calls the player to see if they're comfortable before he puts it in and he missed the phone call but John Brown answered. So this year he answered his phone. Said Daboll asked if he could throw a pass and he said "of course I can throw, I'm Kyler Murray!" (he was playing Kyler Murray on Scout Team). He's a trip, I hope we get him back but I can also see where he might have a higher worth to another team than here in the age of tight cap.
  19. If I am reading this tweet from Albert Breer correctly, these are the values for the 5th year options on Josh Allen and Tremaine Edmunds for 2022. Both players will receive the value under “Transition Players” Meaning the 5th year option on Josh will be $23,016,000 and the 5th year option on Tremaine will be $12,716,000.
