I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and actually better that with 6-10.

Sabres have called up some muscle... BOSTON -- The Sabres, with the status of forwards Matt Ellis and Thomas Vanek in doubt, have recalled Cody McCormick. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound forward was signed last summer for organizational depth, and he should get his first chance to show why Wednesday in Game Four against Boston. McCormick had 17 goals and 29 points with 168 penalty minutes in 66 games with Portland this season. McCormick had no points, nine PIMs and nine shots in the Pirates' first three postseason games against Manchester. The 27-year-old has four games of NHL playoff experience, skating with Colorado in 2008. He had one assist and seven penalty minutes.

Did they also vote for and support white presidents in the past?

Your logic would have the Bills never picking a QB. There is no guarantee, but better to take a chance than get someone who you already know is mediocre. I don't want a "stop gap". I'd rather bite the bullet with a couple bad seasons while a young QB matures, get a couple more high picks to build around him, and then have a contender, ala Troy Aikman and the Cowboys.

I gave your posts an honest look. Please keep posting. We need more people like you out front as the face of the conservative / Tea Party movement.

So you want liberals to mock you, so you get stronger like the Hulk.

We all know the reason is because D.C. has a Democratic voting majority. Which is why when the issue is debated in Congress, the Republicans demand that additional districts be created in Utah so there is no change in the balance of power in Congress. If you're sincere, when Republicans are in the majority, they could cut off futher funding and let the programs die on the vine. But they know it would be political suicide to take away the largest entitlement programs from the elderly voters. So they talk the talk, but don't walk the walk. And if the Tea Party is sincere, they would advocate just such a policy from the candidates they support.

It was an astroid that was blown up by nukes. That's why the world leaders were here last week, it was a cover to inform them all that the U.S. and Russia had a joint effort to blow it up. And the president's initiative to land on an astroid is really because there are more coming, and it will take landing on them to plant nukes to change their trajectory. The Mayans forsaw this occurring in 2012.

I'd trade Lynch for BETTY White. At least she'd have a good attitude and be a positive influence.

Although I disagreed with Reagan's philosophy and policies, he had a resume of writings and speeches where he laid out a detailed view of how gov't should work and handle particular issues. He thought about what he said, and didn't just read a script based on the views of his speechwriters. Palin is just a series of bumper sticker phrases with no thought given to the details. That may work with the Tea Party crowd, but I have confidence that she would wither under the scrutiny of a presidential election and the general public, who are busy living their lives and not paying attention to the details right now. Thus I hope she is the Republican nominee. But I expect the Republicans will come to their senses and select a more mainstream candidate.

I was for health care before I was against it.

She got her guiding principles from David Hannum (look it up). Be careful what you wish for. If she continues to garner the spotlight at the expense of other Republicans like Romney and Gingrich, she could very well end up as the Republican nominee in 2012. And that would be great (for Obama).

30 million people aren't getting free healthcare. They're going to have access to affordable healthcare insurance. And of course people who can't afford healthcare don't work hard to earn a living.

And once again Mr Burns chances end before Blinky hits the floor.

Confederate Soldiers Were Terrorists

I wonder who the slaves thought the terrorists were. -
I head Lalime is playing, and Rivet and Hecht are sitting out; Mancari got called back up. The team usually plays bad in front of Lalime, and the Bruins are desperate, so I expect a Bruins win. It wouldn't surprise me if the Sabres lose their last 3 games (at Boston, at Ottawa, at New Jersey).

It's thinking ahead and setting a precedent. By stating such, it takes away the justification for any non-nuclear power to acquire nuclear weapons. Which means that if they do try to acquire them, the U.S. has the high ground in world opinion to get tough sanctions against countries such as Iran or North Korea, or as a last resort to use conventional weapons to take out their processing facilities. Getting Russia and China to agree on sanctions is crucial for them to be effective. The first step is to improve relations with them. This is just one move in the chess game.

“A nuclear war cannot be won and must never be fought. And no matter how great the obstacles may seem, we must never stop our efforts to reduce the weapons of war. We must never stop at all until we see the day when nuclear arms have been banished from the face of this Earth.” - Ronald Reagan, 1984, in China. http://andrewsullivan.theatlantic.com/the_...ays-gop-ii.html

Glenn Beck is just Jerry Springer without the sex.......so far.

What bothers me is that we have 41 senators and 216 members of the House that would find single payer rationed healthcare unacceptable. So, if 1/3 of them are too dumb to understand this and 1/3 ideologically don't believe in it then 1/3 of them are doing it for some other reason (greed, entrenchment, power, etc.) Now, my numbers could be way off and I'm sure they are, but it is a given that a minority of our congressmen are either dumb, far right, or have some nefarious reason for voting against this.

So Today is the Day, The Government Takeover
PastaJoe replied to WisconsinBillzFan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
And you need a history class. How convenient to forget that a large portion of the spending was done to prevent what most economists agree would have been an economic depression based on events that occurred before Obama became president. Unfortunately, Obama wasn't blessed with the previous administration leaving a surplus, or even a stable economy. He did what was needed.
