  1. I e-mailed Chris Brown from BB.com today and asked him about Hargrove. I'll probably hear back from Chris next week and give everyone an update.
  2. I agree that we need a solid replacement first before Schobel gets the boot. Like another poster has said, Schobel doesn't like to show up for off-season workouts which shows a lack of committment on his part to the team. And like you said, 32 years old next season, coming off the 2 worst years of his career and his current injury status.
  3. I still think Ralph still feels burned by Donahoe, Phillips and Saban and will be reluctant to bring in a good quality coach and/or GM. It would be great if we could land one of the above mentioned coaches as I think they could at least lead us to the playoffs, something we won't see as long as Dickie is the HC.
  4. I just wish Ralph would get on the "Fire Jauron" bus...lol
  5. Yes, I've made other Schobel posts, but when I read the article, I had to make another thread to discuss the possible offseason surgery issues. I know you like Schobel and when he was healthy, he was a good player but even still, he wasn't worth the $8.7 million a year. IMO, it's time to cut him loose and move on.
  6. I agree with some of your points. I had to have career ending foot & ankle surgery when I was in the Marines and go through all the steps...different meds, physical therapy, steroid injections, foot in a cast, etc (military doctor's are a joke, glad a civilian did my surgery). To me, if Schobel needs surgery, this sets the team back and they need to have a plan ready. Last year's excuse for Schobel was that the D-line sucked, this year his injury, how long are the Bills gonna keep this guy & his high price tag before they cut him loose? If he can ever return to his pro-bowl form, then that would be great and I'll be the first to admit I'm wrong about him. But IMO, he's damaged goods and is highly overpaid.
  7. I agree, we need 2 good DE's. I'd keep Denney as a backup and cut Kelsay loose.
  8. At $8.7 million a year, he's not worth it. Schobel should be making what Kelsay is getting (at best).
  9. Then again, maybe this will be a blessing in disguise and the Bills FO will actually go out and get 2 DE's in the offseason.
  10. If he needs surgery, why didn't he have it sometime during the season when Bills management knew he was going to be on IR. Waiting until sometime in February to have surgery, plus 6 months of rehab will set him back big time. My point is, he's not worth the $8.7 million a year he's making, he's damaged goods and has lost a step.
  11. http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1...a4-57bc9933e88e "The two-time Pro Bowl defensive end is due back in Buffalo on Feb. 1 at which time he’ll be put through three days of hard football-related activity by the training staff. Then they’ll be a series of MRIs and x-rays to determine if the foot had made sufficient progress or if surgery needs to be performed. If surgery is the call, Schobel’s offseason will quickly become more challenging with a six month rehab process in front of him. And that’s why some outside observers are wondering if Buffalo’s top pass rusher will be able to recapture his Pro Bowl form". Great, they're waiting until February to determine is Schobel needs surgery or not. If that's the case, he'll be rehabbing until August and might not be ready to start the season. Even if he does come back at some point during the season, I can't see him being that effective.
  12. http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8...mp;confirm=true Here's the entire 1st round of the 2009 draft, not sure where we stand past that.
  13. I'm 34 and have been a fan of the Bills when I was a kid and was old enough to know what football was. I started out watching a good Chuck Knox led Bills team, then the depressing years of Kay & Hank. What's really depressing is that it's been 9 long years since we had a good team. Ralph is so scared of hiring a GM & coach that is a proven winner because he is afraid of getting burned again. I just don't understand how he could dish out big bucks to certain players, but no big bucks to get good management & coaches to lead this team?
  14. I went to Schwabl's in West Seneca for roast beef on Saturday, their roast beef is great.
  15. No, not the challenges. I still don't get why Jauron challenges the wrong plays and doesn't challenge the one's that look like they can go our way? Is it Jauron or the personnel in the booth?
  16. I didn't say that Jauron's challenges cost us 9 games. To be more definitive, during Jauron's 3 year tenure, there were 9 games that we lost due to bad decisions/play calling. There's a thread on page 2 that lists each game.
  17. Another walk out thread, when are the "mark my words" threads coming back?
  18. Great post! You forgot to add when Jauron challenges the wrong play and when his decisions cost us a game (on average 3 games a year).
  19. I guess in "Kelly the Fair" opinion, this guy should not be writing for the Bills since he feels the same way as a lot of us do. http://www.billsdaily.com/articles/bogyo/2008/jauron.shtml
  20. I thought you were a dumbass, wait a minute, you still are. Why don't you learn reading comprehension, I said I will not order the NFL Sunday ticket or go to a home game. I can B word & moan just like anyone else on here.
  21. I agree. We need 2 DE's, not just 1. Kelsay & Denney should be cut loose.
