  1. I agree. I was hoping for big things from him last season, then his season was ended due to injuries.

  3. So after all of his antics last year that I previously mentioned, I take it you find them acceptable? You can't let players hold their teams hostage because of money. Peters wanted at least $12+ million a year, even though he is a good player, he's not worth that kind of money. Also, Peters went undrafted for reason, so this talk of him having a pick of where he wanted to go is a bunch of nonsense. If you went undrafted, you'll be very happy a team picked you up. Thanks for the scouting report, I agree with their reports. I wish things would have worked out differently with Peters, but they didn't.
  4. It has his number listed. If you check Chris Brown's blog on buffalobills.com, he has a short paragraph on Youboty.
  5. If the Bills wouldn't have given him a shot on the O-line and had Jim McNally mold him in a good offensive lineman, he would have been out of the NFL already. Don't think so....how many 340 lbs tight ends are there in the league? I already stated that he is a good player with a lot of talent, but when you don't contact your team for months, sit out all the OTA's, minicamp, training camp, show up to work at the last day out of shape (which he didn't play the 1st week) and it takes you another 6 weeks to play decently again, then don't play in the final 2 games of the last 2 seasons (due to mysterious injuries) that screws the team and shows no committment on his part. He's a talented, lazy (at times), greedy SOB. That's a very poor comparsion on contract hold-outs. Wood stated to the Buffalo news that he wanted to be in Rochester practicing but was told he couldn't until he had a signed contract. There's a humongous difference between waiting for an initial contract to start playing in the NFL, compared to honoring the contract you already signed. Peters deserved the Pro-Bowl nomination in '07, not in '08.
  6. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2009/8/7/9...day-13#comments The comments from Buffalo rumblings are the updates of today's practice. I like Youboty and think he has a lot of potential, but if he can't stay healthy, then I hope this will be his last year in Buffalo.
  7. Peters allowed 11.5 sacks last season, so if Walker gives up the same amount or less, then it was a good idea to switch Walker to LT. As long as both Wood & Levitre are as good as advertised, it really doesn't matter who is better, just as long as they make the O-line better and perform well on game day.
  8. I agree, only time will tell. I wonder if Peters will use his cry-baby antics in a few years with Philly. I was a fan of Peters until his holdout. He's a great talent, but I don't like his work ethic or his attitude. The Bills molded him from an undrafted, 340 lbs tight-end, into a pro-bowl LT. The way he acted was a big slap to the face of the organization that gave this guy a chance. It's refreshing to see a guy like Wood come here with a great attitude and great work ethic.
  9. I agree, I think more people will be judging Walker vs Peters. But, I figured since we used our 1st round draft pick from the Peters trade on Wood, that there could be a comparsion. I'm just looking forward to Sunday's game. Even though it's pre-season, I'm still looking forward to seeing the Bills in action again.
  10. Since we received the #28 pick from the Eagles for the Peters trade, it'a safe to compare Peters vs Wood. I know it's still early to make any solid predictions or comparsions, but you can't help but be impressed with Wood. Wood worked out with his old teammate (I forget his name, but plays on the Packers O-line), and packed on about 15 lbs of muscle. His preparation on dedication to Bills already speaks volumes. So far, he's been highly impressive in camp. It would have been nice if Peters had the same work ethic as Wood. Only time will tell if we got the better player.
  11. It sounds like Walker is doing better compared to when camp started, so that's encouraging. I know it was only 1 game, but he did a good job at LT vs the Seahawks last year. Glad to hear all the good stuff about Wood.
  12. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2009/8/6/9...p-8-6-rumblings Nice to hear about Walker & Wood.

  14. How many years does he have left on his contract?
  15. The Dean & Cynical: I drank the kool-aid last year and predicted 11-5 and we finished 7-9. This year, I'm not making any predictions and will take it week-by-week. "The Dick" should play to win, not play to lose.
  16. If I remember correctly, isn't Walker playing LT temporaily (for only a couple of years). I thought I heard when we drafted Levitre, that Walker would play LT until Levitre had some time under his belt playing on the O-Line. I thought I heard that during the draft, but could be wrong.
  17. I agree that there is way too much negativity on this site. I do have some optimism for the upcoming season, but some reservation at the same time. My reservation is due to Dick Jauron still being the head coach.
  18. I was hoping we'd get a new coach and that didn't happen.
  19. I agree. IMO, if Walker gives up the same amount of sacks or less than what Peters did last year (and Peters made the Pro-Bowl) then I'd say it was a good move to put Walker at LT. We haven't even played a pre-season game and people are already complaining?!
  20. Wow, Schobel looks great in training camp, well Ellison has looked good in camp in years past and hasn't done much when it comes to actually playing in games. Let's see Schobel & Ellison produce on game day (and not when the other team has the game in the bag).
  21. Damn, I didn't see this thread (sorry for a duplicate). Caldwell is not a great player, but at least he had some NFL experience. This jabroni hasn't made a roster and it was just a waste for the Bills to sign him
