  1. Okay, maybe that's true to some extent. Flutie was not an elite QB, but he was much better than Johnson. Look at the following season when Johnson had the majority of the starts, the Bills were 8-8, Johnson was 4-7 and Flutie was 4-1. Also, the season afterwards, when the offense was suppose to be tailored to Johnson's strength's, he only won 1 game in that 3-13 season. Yes we had a great defense a and QB (Flutie) that did just enough on offense to outscore the other teams. Well, I'd rather have a QB that just did enough to win us games, than a QB that couldn't stay healthy and could barely win games (Johnson). Bottom line, the QB switch cost us the playoff game vs the Titans and possibly a trip to the Superbowl that season. One final point on QB's that just did enough, a perfect example of that is the 2000 Ravens with Trent Dilfer. I'd take that anyday over the garbage we've seen from the Bills this decade.
  2. That would be great. I doubt we make the playoffs, so that would be a consolation prize.
  3. I agree. It was our backups versus the Colts backups. Just because you play good against backups, it does not mean you're ready to play against starters in the playoffs. With Flutie having a 10-5 record that season, he should have been able to finish the job in the playoffs.
  4. I agree. I definitely was in favor of Flutie, but if they really wanted Johnson as starting QB, they should have made the move no later than week 8. In the first half of the playoff game vs the Titans, there were so many false start penalties, which backed us up to our end zone and Johnson ended up getting a safety. Johnson was not horrible in that game and he played good with driving us down the field for the FG, but he left about 20 seconds on the game clock and it came back to haunt us on the kickoff. I still believe if Flutie was the starting QB, we would have won the game. Even Wade stated on the NFL network: "In hindight, Doug would have won us the game".
  5. It shouldn't have came down to a kickoff. The game clock should have been taken down to :04 seconds, take a timeout or spike the ball, then kick the FG so no time was left on the clock. Dumb mistake by either Johnson or the coaches.
  6. I had a Carlos Mencia moment: "Dee, Dee Dee!!!"
  7. There ya go nibblenuts!!!
  8. I agree. I don't think the Bills will be a serious Superbowl contender again until Ralph is no longer the owner. I do believe Ralph cares a lot about the Bills and wants to see a Superbowl championship, but he's too "shell-shocked" from feeling burnt by old GM's (Donahoe, Butler & Polian) and old coaches (Saban, Knox, Phillips). Because Ralph is so shell-shocked that he will only hire "Yes sir, Mr. Wilson" type people.
  9. Gregg Williams 2001: 3-13 2002: 8-8 2003: 6-10 17 wins 31 losses Mike Mularkey 2004: 9-7 2005: 5-11 14 wins, 18 losses Dick Jauron 2006: 7-9 2007: 7-9 2008: 7-9 2009: 3-5 24 wins, 32 losses Easy answer, it's the coaches. But, if you look at what's been constant since 2001, it's been Modrak & Guy. Ed Kilgore & company had a great piece on channel 2 on why the Bills haven't been successful over the last 10 years, from bad drafts, failure to resign key free agents, terrible free agent pick-ups, terrible head coach selections...etc. IMO, it's time to clean house. I'd rather start with a clean state with a new front office regime, preferrably one involving Cowher or Schottenheimer.
  10. Reed needs to take back over at the #2 WR position. Reed is Edwards go-to guy and our offense has suffered since the ball hasn't been getting into Reed's hands like it was the last few years.
  11. Duh...duh...duh..douche!!!!!!!!!!
  12. That's what happens it another country. Here in the US, it wouldn't be a big deal, but in Ontario, it's a different story.
  13. Brandon just needs to stick with marketing.
  14. All of us here did not like it Jauron was hired as Head Coach. After last season, everyone wanted him fired. It looks like that might finally happen at the end of this season. But, as long as Modrak & Guy are still in power, we will not have a serious competitive team. Since Modrak & Guy have been here, the Bills record has been 55-84, a 0.396 win percentage. That is absolutely pathetic. Look at the Lions under Matt Millen and how long they have sucked. Now that Millen is gone, maybe the Lions will be competitive in a few years. Bottom line, we will continue to have a sub-par team as long as Modrak & Guy are in charge.
  15. Read this about "Pig Farm Willy": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Pickton
  16. Since those 2 low life pricks shot people with a rifle, he should have been executed by a firing squad.
  17. Where in Okinawa?? I was at Camp Hansen & Okuma Beach Resort.
  18. At 9:11pm (how fitting) tonight, John Allen Muhammed was executed by lethal injection. IMO, this prick should have been executed by a firing squad. Those 3 1/2 weeks when the 2 DC snipers were on the loose were a very scary time here in Northern VA. I just wish his accomplice could have suffered the same fate instead of life in prison.
  19. I was in the Marines for 8 years 8 months before being medically separated. Wish I could have stayed in for 20. Happy Birthday & Semper Fi!!!
  20. Okay, thanks!!
  21. Today is the 234th birthday of the Marine Corps. I would like to wish all my fellow Marines a Happy Birthday today! Semper Fi!
  22. Ralph fired Donahoe, but forgot to fire Modrak & Guy. You can blame Modrak & Guy for all the draft busts since Donahoe came to town.
  23. Flutie, mainly due to the O-line.
