  1. Yes, there is some truth to what is being said, but a majority of it is guesses, opinions and speculation. Some reporters are saying Shanahan would like the low maintenance of the Buffalo situation, others are saying Shanahan wouldn't come here for various reasons. Who do you believe?!
  2. We're gonna hear tons of stories for the next few months that the Bills are contacting this person and that person, then we'll hear from the media that this person is interested and that person is not interested...etc...etc. Truth is, we're not really going to know anything until a decision has been actually made by Ralph.
  3. He won 2 Superbowl's plus went to the AFC Championship game. Also, when it came to the Broncos playing the Pats in the playoffs, the Broncos had the better record. I'd take that anyday over what we had this decade.
  4. That's right, Flutie is the only QB in the league to fumble a ball when a D-linemen tee's off and drills him in the armpit area while attempting to throw (sarcasm). Blaming Flutie for that game is just like another thread on this forum saying it was stupid to fire Jauron. The blame on the dolphins game needs to be shared between Moulds & Reed, their actions cost us 11 points.
  5. He signed with Philly for $10 mil, but wanted $12+ million from us and wasn't going to get it. Guess you got short-term memory.
  6. And with :20 seconds left on the clock. The clock should have been taken down to about :04 seconds, that way once the FG was in the air, the time expired and game over. RJ could have won the game. Flutie would have won the game. Don't believe me, check Wade Phillips quote on the top 10 QB controverses.
  7. An illegal forward pass plus an ill-advised QB switch.
  8. I agree. Walker should have stayed at RT and we should have either drafted a LT ot picked up one via FA. Right now, Bell is a backup at best.
  9. No one is denying Peters was a very good LT. But, he wanted to be paid over $12 million a year and that wasn't gonna happen. If we get 2 good tackles either draft or via free agency, then will will have a solid offensive line. I like the drafts of Wood, Levitre & Nelson and think they will be good NFL players for a long time. I had no problem with the trade of Peters, I didn't like the boneheaded decisions of switching our RT to LT, then cutting him 10 days before the start of the season. They should have put Walker back at RT. If Levitre pans out at LT, maybe they could give Bell a shot at guard (when he's healthy).
  10. My thoughts & prayers go out to the Spielman family.
  11. http://www.buffalobills.com/media-lounge/v...7f-61ff450bb1ad Fewell had the Bills in pads practicing the run game a day earlier than normal. Also, Fewell joking said he was going to cut the Offensive linemen fingers off if there were anymore false start penalties. Glad to see Fewell changing the pace and direction of the team.
  12. Exactly...how's that waterfront development going? And the Peace Bridge expansion? ....What, it still hasn't happened? (sarcasm)
  13. Unless you liked seeing the Bills have 2 consecutive 4th quarter collapses, plus a team in descension (see TO's blow up & Schobel's comments), the Bills had no choice but to fire Jauron. Firing Jauron at this point gives the Bills a 7 week head start on finding a replacement and interviewing the top coaches that are available. Cowher & Shanahan will command big bucks, so having a 7 week head start to talk and negiotiate is a very smart thing. This is going to be Wilson's last coaching hire & last chance to get it right, so Ralph is going to go out with a bang and do his best to win a Superbowl.
  14. Haslett = a pissed off version of Jauron. Sorry, I don't want another 2 time loser as our next HC. Killdrive - need I say more?!
  15. If it's one of the other 3 guys mentioned, I will not watch the Bills next year. Ralph & co finally have a chance to make it right and bringing in any one of those jabroni's won't make us any better than what we have been this decade. It has to be Shanahan or another well respected coach like Cowher, Marty, Holmgren etc..
  16. I think the Bills will seriously persue Shanahan. I think the other 3 are just names thrown out, just so it looks like the Bills are doing an extensive search. I can't seriously imagine they would really want the 3 other guys mentioned. Haslett is the same as Jauron, a two-time loser as a head coach. Gilbride was a bad OC for the Bills and would not be a good HC. I don't know about the CFL guy, but none of us want another "hot coordinator" or a guy that has no NFL head coaching experience. I would be very happy if Shanahan gets the job. He did what Dan Reeves couldn't do, win Superbowls with John Elway in Denver. Under Shanahan, the Broncos had great offensive lines that gave the QB a lot of protection and especially was the main reason the Broncos always had one of the best run games in the league.
  17. He benches 350...no problem!!!
  18. Frank Rizzo is my choice
  19. Any link or news on the press conference?
  20. Against the Texans, Fitz was terrible.
  21. Yes, that play was boneheaded, but then again, I also remember when Bledsoe went in on a QB sneak, then threw the ball back to Trash (McGahee) and Trash ran 33 yards for a TD. I miss that type of creativity. MM was the only one who knew how to use Evans and get him open. He had Evans lined up all over the field and was able to get him the ball. Since then, Evans has been lined up always on the outside.
  22. I wonder if this is what the players wanted? Fitz has not looked better than Edwards. TO & Reed argued with the coaches about Edwards not seeing the same read from the defense, so I'm wondering if that played into the decision to start Fitz?
  23. I agree. Our offense hasn't been good since Mularkey left town. Granted MM sucked as a head coach, but I miss his offensive creativity. I work with 2 Steelers fans and they both say that the last best OC the Steelers had was MM.
