  1. Exactly! Marty's last season with SD was a 14-2 regular season record. Marty would have big solid linemen and both sides of the ball. A 14-2 record would get us home-field advantage for the playoffs and having those big lines would work in our favor for the January playoff games.
  2. That would be great. If Marty comes to the Bills, you know both sides of the ball will have great lines. Having big lines is what we need for those wintry playoff games in Buffalo.
  3. Dick: "Hello" Turk: "Hey Dickie Boy, how's it's goin'? I wanted to ask you...how did that "pop-warner" offense work out for ya? HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!" In all seriousness, I'm sure Turk had a big grin on his face when he heard the news about Jauron getting the boot.
  4. Marty has coached teams to the AFC championship game at least 3 times that I remember (once with Cleveland, twice with KC). I'll take that anyday.
  5. A lot of people said the same thing about Cowher, until the Steelers won a Superbowl. If Marty had the same time on a team like Cowher did, he would have a Superbowl victory (possibly multiple ones).
  6. I agree. I hope Ed Kilgore is right when he said he heard that Russ Brandon is looking to get a real GM in place.
  7. IMO, with the nasty, wintry weather, the 3-4 defense works the best for the Bills.
  8. Gee, I don't know, maybe it's because we had: 2001-2003: Gregg Williams, 17-31 2004-2005: Mike Mularkey, 14-18 2006-2009: Dick Jauron, 24-33 So, that's a combined 55-85 record, a .392 winning percentage, with guys that were coordinators or in Jauron's case, a terrible HC to begin with. So, maybe it's time to turn the page on a "hot" coordinator and go with a proven winner.
  9. Was it Marty's fault that the idiot on SD didn't slide down after he intercepted the ball in the playoff game vs the Pats? They even showed video footage of Marty telling him to slide down if that situation were to happen. Was it Marty's fault that the Browns let John Elway drive over 90 yards on his defense? Elway, Kelly & Marino were the 3 best QB's of their time and are Hall of Fame QB's. IMO, Marty had the plug pulled on him way too soon. If he were to have to tenure on a team like Cowher did with the Steelers, Marty would have had a Super bowl victory. Luckily, Mr. Rooney was a patient guy and didn't fire Cowher for not being able to win the big game within a few years.
  10. I found this article off a link a bb.com I agree with Lombardi that with the cold weather elements, the Bills need a big powerful team, not the fast Tampon 2 defense that we have. http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Tavern...ments-8913.html
  11. Unless you like not even making it to the playoffs in 10 years, over Marty. I'd take Marty and know that he will have a winning team on the field instead of the garbage we've seen this decade from the Bills.
  12. I agree that people shouldn't say FU to Marv. Marv, by far was the best coach we ever had (at least since I've been watching in the early 80's). I give credit to Marv for trying to turn the Bills around, but it failed. Marv should take some slack for his coaching and personnel decisions during his tenure as GM, but NO ONE should bash him and say FU, that's classless.
  13. Hopefully Fewell can have the same success as Singletary did with the 49ers after he took over as interim HC last year.
  14. Loved Marv as HC, but did a horrible job as GM.
  15. I'd take Marty in a heartbeat. Marty's teams have always been tough & competitive.
  16. Marty wanted Brees, AJ wanted Rivers.
  17. The best news I heard all day. THANK YOU...THANK YOU...THANK YOU...THANK YOU...THANK YOU...THANK YOU...THANK YOU...THANK YOU...THANK YOU...THANK YOU...THANK YOU...THANK YOU...THANK YOU...THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. First off, Brees did not look good before Rivers was drafted. If Brees did look good in his first 3 years, then why did the Chargers draft Rivers with their first pick? Brees had many games in his first 3 seasons where he threw either under 200 yards and even 100 yards. Coaching and a good offensive line will make all the difference to a developing QB. If those are in place and your QB is not producing, then you can say without a doubt that it's the QB that's the problem. With Bills, everything is jacked up.
  19. The signs of promise I mentioned were the first 4 games last season before the Adrian Wilson hit. You mean to tell me we have a good offensive line? Please... how many times this year have our QB's been pressured and hit? Constantly You think are coaches are good? Our coaches suck!!!!!!! There's no sugar coating that, they suck!!!!! I agree that Edwards is not reading the defenses correctly and opts for the short pass. I would like to see Edwards with a decent offensive line and good coaches around him, if he is still doing the same things as he is currently doing, then you know for sure he is a bust. Under current conditions (terrible coaches, bad offensive line) it's not a fair assessment, in my opinion.
  20. Thanks Red! I don't want to see Brandon, Modrak & Guy picking our top ten pick, that would be another disaster.
  21. It's possible that Edwards could be a late bloomer like Brees was in San Diego. If I'm not mistaken, Brees had 3 seasons in SD and looked bad. Once SD drafted Rivers, Brees turned it up and became a stellar QB. Edwards has shown some signs of promise, then again, signs of regression. Could it be from the concussions, bad offensive line, bad play calls, bad coaches or a combination of things? It's hard to say.
  22. If it's a desperation move on Jauron's part, then he just sealed his fate as Bills HC. Fitz has not looked better than Edwards this season.
  23. http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/11/17/bills-expe...ick-in-week-11/ The end is coming soon.
  24. I would only want a proven GM to pick our top ten first round pick.
