I agree, he was aggressive at the wrong times and chose the wrong plays when he was being aggressive. When he went for it on 4 and 1 vs the Pats, he went for a run play that took too long to set up.
-
He has 5 games left, let's see how he does over that period before we pass judgment on the guy. Expecting a guy to be spectular, who hasn't played a regular season game in well over a year is just wishful thinking. Look at how bad Peters looked for the first six games last season after his holdout.

Denver converted Elvis Dumervil from DE to LB and he's having a career year so far with 12 sacks. Maybe whoever is running the team next season will make the switch on Maybin. Another reason I'm so glad The Dick is gone, he never put the players that played the best on the field. This pre-season, Copeland Bryan & Chris Ellis were getting constant QB pressure, but Dick decides to release Bryan and continue to start Kelsay. It took an injuries to get Jabary Greer and Fred Jackson on the field as well, even though both had spectaular pre-seasons. Glad to see Fewell going with the better players (Fitz & Jackson).

You're right, that's the only positive thing you can say about "The Dick". Hopefully, we can get a consistent pass-rush next season and we'll have double the INT's.

Maybe an off-season trade of M. Lynch?

He's been smoking whatever Marshawn & his boys were smoking in the back of the mercedes (with no license plates). -
Denver converted DE Elvis Dumervil into a LB and Dumervil has 12 sacks so far. Maybe the next coach will do something different with Maybin next year?

I agree. No way Dick makes Jackson the starting RB. No way Dick lets Lindell kick a 56 yard FG, he would have punted it away. No way Dick attempts a 50 yard bomb with a 3 point lead, he would have ran 3 running plays, than punted it. And there's no way Dick would have went for another TD, he would have had the QB kneel down to run the clock out. If only Fewell was the Head Coach to start the year off... Let's just hope we'll have a good remaining 5 games and hopefully the right management, coaching and player decisions will happen in the offseason.

Today's game was definitely a breath of fresh air. This was one of the best games I've seen from the Bills in a long while. Kicking the crap out of the fish at home was awesome!!!! This is not Dick Jauron's team no more, Perry Fewell is quickly putting his stamp on this team. I just wish Jauron would have got the boot at the bye week, that way Fewell had 2 weeks to get ready for the Jags. It's so nice to see a gutsy team going for the win, instead of a ultra-conservative team playing not to lose. Go Bills, kick the crap out of the Jets!! J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS, S-U-C-K SUCK SUCK SUCK!!!!!!!!

Great job Perry!!! Keep up the good work!!!!

Long wait until the Bills hire a new HC
Jerry Jabber replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm tired of trying the "hot coordinator" or the re-tred HC coach (Jauron) that was a failure in his previous tenures. I don't want Haslett or Martz as our next HC either. -
Step one was completed with "The Dick" getting the boot. Step two, a majority of us fans finally are getting our wish, Ralph is interviewing the top HC's available and is offering a lot to get one. It was great to hear that Brandon & Shanahan talked over a 2 day period for over 7 hours, that's very encouraging news. So far, we've heard from local and national "so called" football experts either saying we'll get Shanahan or we won't get him or any other big name coach. IMO, a lot of these "so called" experts are a bunch of clowns. If Ralph is very serious (like he claims) and will offer up to $10 million a year on a proven HC, plus meet the HC's stipulations, that HC will sign with us. But, we have to wait until the season is over with. Expect a bunch names being called in for interviews over the next 7 to 8 weeks. Seeing Perry Fewell's work as interim HC is a breath of fresh air. Having the team practice in pads and having more practices than "The Dick". Practicing outside instead of the field house to get used to the bad weather. Now, it's very unlikely that Fewell will get the Bills HC position or even be retained as DC next year, but at least he's busting his butt off and trying to turn this team around. IMO, I think he could be a good head coach somehwere in the league. Right now, we need a proven guy to get us on the right track. IMO, I hope Shanahan is that guy. He's been able to beat Belichick multiple times in the playoffs and that's exactly what we need.

Who do you want for the next Bills HC?
Jerry Jabber replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So far, it looks like Patrick Star as Head Coach and Beavis as Assistant Head Coach. Both, would do much better than "The Dick". -
I love all of the "experts" who keep saying..

The Bengals sucked for how many years and are now starting to look decent again. Once we land a top tier coach and start winning again, we'll finally start getting positive feedback from the media. I really don't give a rats ass what those clowns say. -

I agree, I'm sick and tired of hearing these clowns in the media saying no big name coach will come here. Second, if the Cowgirls make the playoffs, Phillips is staying. The NFC East sucks this year, so the Cowgirls have a good shot at taking their division. Third, about Washington, what good coach would want to coach there when the GM (most likely owner) takes power away from the head coach and gives the offensive play calls to a guy that was out of coaching for years and was calling bingo this year??!! You honestly think a top tier coach would want to come there, knwoing in the back of their minds, they could fired at any moment, have power taken away, etc.... -
Who do you want for the next Bills HC?

Mentioning Glanville is just as bad as referring to our ex-coaches that failed miserably!! -

I voted for Beavis. When he turns into Cornholio...watch out, the other teams will need TP for their bungholes!! -

Jerry Glanville. Why not say Kay Stephenson, Hank Bullough while you're at it? -
Who is your dadddy...and what does he do?? I'm detective John Kimble!!! I'm a cop YOU ID-DEE-OT!!!!!

The posts are getting ridiculous with the choices for HC so just have fun this this one.
-
I agree. If Ralph is serious about offering $10 million a year, or how Vic put it in the article "Whatever it takes", Shanahan or some other top coach will come here. Who in their right mind would pass up $10 million a year?
-
When was the last time the Bills mentioned, contacted or interviewed a top coach? They're finally trying to get a top notch coach when they didn't even attempt to before, so that's what makes this time around different.
