  1. Unfortunately, it looks like a new deal is close: http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2012/5/15/3019495/buffalo-bills-in-toronto-series-extension "It has been a few months since we were updated on the Buffalo Bills being optimistic about an extension of the team's series in Toronto, but wonder no more: Daniel Kaplan of the Sports Business Journal reported on Monday that an extension of the series appears imminent. Kaplan writes that an extension of the series could be approved by the NFL's international committee as soon as this week." I was hoping after the 5-year deal, that would have been it for the Toronto series. I understand why the Bills are doing it, but I don't like it. Even when the Bills were winning and played in Toronto last season against the Redskins, it didn't have that home-game atmosphere. Look at when Scott Chandler jumped in the stands, with only a photographer around him (and not a bunch of Bills fans).
  2. Given Merriman's injury history, I'm not expecting anything from him this season. So if he does produce anything at all, it will be a bonus.
  3. Who is #63? that guy is big
  4. Glenn looks like a Giant compared to the rest of the group.
  5. I also heard that Gilmore was considered the best CB in the league. Opinions are just like a certain body part, everyone has one.
  6. In order: 1. Superbowl XXV 2. Superbowl XXVI 3. Superbowl XXVII 4. Superbowl XXVIII 5. Bills/Jags 1996 Playoffs - end of an era, when Jim Kelly is knocked out of the game 6. Bills/Titans - The forward lateral/Flutie benched - both were B.S. 7. Bills/Steelers 2004 - eliminated from the playoffs by a bunch of backups 8. Bills/Pats - an 11 point lead blown (take a knee McKelvin) 9. Bills/Dallas - MNF - prevent defense & bad special teams cost the Bills 10. Bills/Broncos - Lost by a last second field goal, and horrible game management by Jauron & Losman
  7. Awesome!! I was stationed at Quantico from 97-00, and again from 02-05. I used to go to Jimmy's Old Town tavern in Herndon, VA before I got Direct Tv. Last I heard, the Fredericksburg chapter still watches games at Hard Times. Semper Fi & Go Bills!!!
  8. Born in South Buffalo Served 8 years in the Marines Reside in Fredericksburg, VA Go Bills!!!
  9. Great post!! Some people underestimate the power of a great pass rush. Sanchez & Matt Moore looked like Peyton Manning & John Elway against the Bills last year, because they had all day long in the pocket. That's not gonna happen this year. When the Bills were healthy last year, they beat the Pats for the 1st time in 8 years.
  10. If one of the Buffalo teams (Bills or Sabres) win a championship, somebody will still have something negative to say, and call it a "Reality Check". Just do the rest of us a favor, go down to your local grocery store, buy a box of straws, take a straw and...SUCK IT UP!!!! It's not like the Bills failed to resign a key player this year like they have in years past (Pat Williams for example), or drafted the wrong player this year (Whitner over Ngata).
  11. +1 I think every Bills fan likes Eric, especially after he told Maybin: "Why don't you give back some of that money you haven't F@!KING earned yet!!"
  12. Parrish & Bell both had injuries in different areas as well. Let's not forget about the ankle injury that cost Wood a few games either. Wood's broken leg was bad luck, no question about it. IMO, the O-line is better with Wood as the starting Center. Wood along with Fred Jackson & Stevie Johnson are my favorite players on the team, and I hope the Bills resign him. But if Wood gets injured again and misses time, do you think the Bills are going to try and extend him?
  13. I know the knock on him has been his health. Unfortunately, his first major injury was a freak accident, which normally doesn’t happen often in the NFL. But his second major injury (last year) was a typical one. I’d love to see the Bills resign Wood, but I completely understand about needing a durable football player, especially at the Center position. Wood is a blue-collar guy, a fan favorite, and a great football player when he is healthy. But if he gets injured again this season, I doubt the Bills would try to resign him (as painful as that sounds).
  14. Is that Jim Carrey & Corey Feldman?
  15. The Pats are still the team to beat. I feel the Bills are closing the gap on them, and we could see a changing of the guard in the AFC East either this season or next season (with the Bills claiming the AFC East crown). With Matt Light retiring, that could be a huge advantage for the Bills pass rush. IMO, the Jets will still hover around 8-8/9-7, and will still have a good defense. Miami's saving grace is their defense, otherwise they would be a bottomfeeder in the NFL. I don't see them making any improvements this season.
  16. With Dick Clark passing away, that Mayan prediction is getting me worried.
  17. I hope not either. In all seriousness, with the offseason upgrades of M. Williams & Anderson, the drafting of Dareus, A. Williams & Gilmore, I can see the Bills having the best defense in the league in a year. With the Bills bulking up the O-line, they will have one of the best (if not the best) run games in the league, plus be able to give Fitz more time in the pocket to make plays.
  18. I'm calling it. In 2013, the Bills will be the Superbowl champs. The Bills will make the playoffs this year, and do some damage. The following year, after the young guns on defense get some experience and develop, the Bills will have the best defense in the league, to go along with one of the best run games (if not the best) in the league, and will win Superbowl XLVIII.
  19. Last year, a lot of the so-called NFL experts thought the Bills would lose to KC. Instead, the Bills demolished the Chiefs at Arrowhead. With a revamped defensive line, Sanchez & Tebow don't have a prayer against us. Expect a lot of sacks and INT's from the Bills D.
  20. The Ravens won the Superbowl with a monster defense, great special teams, & Trent Dilfer at QB. So if Nix can do the same with Fitz & the rest of the team, then I'm fine with that.
  21. Redskins are hoping to have the same success the Falcons did when they drafted Matt Schaub & got a good draft pick from the Texans. IMO, it's a high risk move, especially with all the holes the skins have on their team.
