  1. Born in South Buffalo Served 8 years in the Marines Reside in Fredericksburg, VA Go Bills!!!
  2. Great post!! Some people underestimate the power of a great pass rush. Sanchez & Matt Moore looked like Peyton Manning & John Elway against the Bills last year, because they had all day long in the pocket. That's not gonna happen this year. When the Bills were healthy last year, they beat the Pats for the 1st time in 8 years.
  3. If one of the Buffalo teams (Bills or Sabres) win a championship, somebody will still have something negative to say, and call it a "Reality Check". Just do the rest of us a favor, go down to your local grocery store, buy a box of straws, take a straw and...SUCK IT UP!!!! It's not like the Bills failed to resign a key player this year like they have in years past (Pat Williams for example), or drafted the wrong player this year (Whitner over Ngata).
  4. +1 I think every Bills fan likes Eric, especially after he told Maybin: "Why don't you give back some of that money you haven't F@!KING earned yet!!"
  5. Parrish & Bell both had injuries in different areas as well. Let's not forget about the ankle injury that cost Wood a few games either. Wood's broken leg was bad luck, no question about it. IMO, the O-line is better with Wood as the starting Center. Wood along with Fred Jackson & Stevie Johnson are my favorite players on the team, and I hope the Bills resign him. But if Wood gets injured again and misses time, do you think the Bills are going to try and extend him?
  6. I know the knock on him has been his health. Unfortunately, his first major injury was a freak accident, which normally doesn’t happen often in the NFL. But his second major injury (last year) was a typical one. I’d love to see the Bills resign Wood, but I completely understand about needing a durable football player, especially at the Center position. Wood is a blue-collar guy, a fan favorite, and a great football player when he is healthy. But if he gets injured again this season, I doubt the Bills would try to resign him (as painful as that sounds).
  7. Is that Jim Carrey & Corey Feldman?
  8. The Pats are still the team to beat. I feel the Bills are closing the gap on them, and we could see a changing of the guard in the AFC East either this season or next season (with the Bills claiming the AFC East crown). With Matt Light retiring, that could be a huge advantage for the Bills pass rush. IMO, the Jets will still hover around 8-8/9-7, and will still have a good defense. Miami's saving grace is their defense, otherwise they would be a bottomfeeder in the NFL. I don't see them making any improvements this season.
  9. With Dick Clark passing away, that Mayan prediction is getting me worried.
  10. I hope not either. In all seriousness, with the offseason upgrades of M. Williams & Anderson, the drafting of Dareus, A. Williams & Gilmore, I can see the Bills having the best defense in the league in a year. With the Bills bulking up the O-line, they will have one of the best (if not the best) run games in the league, plus be able to give Fitz more time in the pocket to make plays.
  11. I'm calling it. In 2013, the Bills will be the Superbowl champs. The Bills will make the playoffs this year, and do some damage. The following year, after the young guns on defense get some experience and develop, the Bills will have the best defense in the league, to go along with one of the best run games (if not the best) in the league, and will win Superbowl XLVIII.
  12. Last year, a lot of the so-called NFL experts thought the Bills would lose to KC. Instead, the Bills demolished the Chiefs at Arrowhead. With a revamped defensive line, Sanchez & Tebow don't have a prayer against us. Expect a lot of sacks and INT's from the Bills D.
  13. The Ravens won the Superbowl with a monster defense, great special teams, & Trent Dilfer at QB. So if Nix can do the same with Fitz & the rest of the team, then I'm fine with that.
  14. Redskins are hoping to have the same success the Falcons did when they drafted Matt Schaub & got a good draft pick from the Texans. IMO, it's a high risk move, especially with all the holes the skins have on their team.
  15. IMO, giving up 1st round pucks in 2013 & 2014, plus a 2nd rounder, along with wasting a pick on another QB will set the Redskins back many years. They got more holes on that team than Swiss cheese.
  16. I got so sick of the RGIII/Redskins lovefest ESPN had over the 3 day draft weekend. It might as well had been Joe Theismann talking about the draft, as Theismann talks about the Redskins with such a huge man crush. The Redskins have so many holes on their team, yet they wasted a pick on taking another QB. They already gave up multiple 1st round picks for RGIII, so this was beyond a boneheaded move. I don't think dumbazz Donahoe would have screwed up that bad.
  17. I'm leaning towards a CB or Kuechly. With the Bills having to play against the Pats, who have Gronkowski, Hernandez & Welker, they're going to need more playmakers that can shut down those 3.
  18. That's what I get for quickly reading an article After reading all of Buddy Nix's quotes, here's what I came up with for positional players that he will be looking at in the draft: a Left Tackle, a WR in the build of Calvin Johnson, a WR in the mold of Roscoe Parrish (minus the fragile body), an OLB, two CB's, and a QB (if a QB they want is on the board when it's the Bills turn at the podium). Don't expect the Bills to trade up, as Nix does not like to give up draft picks, but don't be surprised to see the Bills trade back to gain more picks. Now after re-reading the article IMO the Bills will take the BPA at #10 (if they don't trade down). Nix will not reach for a player, as he stated would set the team back 3 to 4 years (wish Donahoe and Marv Levy took this approach). While we know what positions Buddy Nix plans on addressing in the draft, it's anyone's guess what round these positions will be filled in.
  19. Buffalo Rumblings stated that Spiller & Dareus did not make pre-draft visits to Buffalo, but they were both taken by the Bills in the first round. So, if there is someone the Bills really want to draft in the first round, most likely they didn't bring that player to Buffalo for a pre-draft visit (if what Buffalo Rumblings says is true about Dareus & Spiller not making pre-draft visits).
  20. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2012/4/18/2957136/2012-nfl-draft-buffalo-bills-pre-draft-visitors-full-list#storyjump "The full list is after the jump, but here above the fold, we're going to talk about some guys that did not make visits. The two big names, obviously, are Iowa offensive tackle Riley Reiff and Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd. In terms of mock draft picks for the Bills, these two guys combined probably comprise at least four out of every five predictions. It's probably more than that. Yet neither came through the doors at One Bills Drive, nor will they. The only reason we bring up who didn't visit the team is the fact that both of the team's first-round picks under GM Buddy Nix - Clemson running back C.J. Spiller and Alabama defensive lineman Marcell Dareus - made pre-draft visits with the club. It's a trend that may ultimately prove meaningless, but it's definitely worth noting." From reading all of Nix's quotes, it sounds like the Bills would like to draft a Left Tackle, a WR in the build of Calvin Johnson, a WR in the mold of Roscoe Parrish (minus the fragile body), an OLB, two CB's, and a QB (if a QB they want is on the board when it's the Bills turn at the podium). Don't expect the Bills to trade up, as Nix does not like to give up draft picks, but don't be surprised to see the Bills trade back to gain more picks. The Bills will take the BPA at #10 (if they don't trade down). Nix will not reach for a player, as he stated would set the team back 3 to 4 years (wish Donahoe and Marv Levy took this approach). We've got less than two weeks to go until draft day. While we know what positions Buddy Nix plans on addressing in the draft, it's anyone's guess what round these positions will be filled in.
  21. Gailey's philosophy is to pass first to set up the run. So, bringing in Lee to get maximum use out of Brad Smith & Fitzpatrick is going to pay dividends. When the Dolphins used the wildcat on the Pats for the first time, and blew them out of the water at Foxboro (I think it was 38-10), that was awesome!!! Seeing grown men in the stands at Foxboro with tears in their eyes, plus seeing a majority of Pats fans leave the stadium in the 3rd quarter was great!! With Gailey, Wannstedt, DeHaven & Lee on board, I think the Bills have put together their best coaching staff since the Superbowl era.
