  1. To me it seems most people have lowered their standards because it's been so long since we've been a regular playoff contender. So, are people in Buffalo going to throw a parade for the Bills the year they finally make the playoffs? The Bills have a very loyal fan base, and after giving us a very crappy product over the past 13 years, I feel the Bills organization owes it to us fans to give us a great team, not just an average or an above average team.
  2. Gailey said all the right things, but where did that get the Bills: 4-12, 6-10 & 6-10. It's time to hold these guys accountable. By holding these guys accountable is by quit going to the games, quit buying merchandise, etc... Once The Ralph is half full and the team is making a lot less money, that is when some action takes place. The Bills organization should feel very lucky to have us as a fan base. I don't know of anywhere else in the country that fans would have been this loyal to an organzation that has been inept for such a long time. I agree, it's time to put up! I agree 100%
  3. I know we've been over this topic before. This was just posted by Tim Graham and I wanted to comment on it. I'm no longer giving this organziation the benefit of doubt, it's time to see results. We can go on about all the stuff that's wrong with the Bills and where they failed over the past 13 years, but that horse has been beaten into oblivion. We all know the Bills aren't going anywhere without a real Franchise QB. The way this draft class is looking at the QB position, it doesn't look like our savior is there. So maybe there will be a franchise QB in the 2014 draft. I put what Brandon said just above Jauron's famous quote of "It's hard to win in the NFL."
  4. http://blogs.buffalonews.com/press-coverage/2013/02/russ-brandon-bills-havent-been-relevant-far-way-too-long.html "I'm not going to look back on the last 13 years," Bills President Russ Brandon told reporters at the NFL scouting combine, "but it's certainly on the minds of a lot of people and understandably so. "We've got to get back to the playoffs, and we've got to start making some dents into being significant and being relevant in this league. We haven't been relevant for way too long. So it's time to change that, time to change the culture." So that's it, just getting back to the playoffs is enough for Brandon? What good is it to make the playoffs just to get bounced in the first or second round?! I think after 13 years of terrible football, the Bills organziation owes it to us fans to make this team into a Superbowl winner.
  5. http://www.nfl.com/n...ngland-patriots Great radio interview from Terrell Suggs as he discusses the special treatment Tom Brady & the Patriots get vice the rest of the league. Suggs asks why the rule of hitting the QB below the knees came into effect after Brady was injured by the Chiefs but not after any other QB or player before?
  6. Hi, I'm Johnny Knoxville...and welcome to JACKASS!!!
  7. Not trying to be a "negative nancy," but if this is true, then it's just the same old typical Bills (drafting the wrong players). We all wanted Ngata, but got Whitner; Jauron & Levy wanted Revis, but Ralph wanted Lynch; fans wanted Orakpo/Matthews/Oher, instead we got Maybin. So add Kaepernick to that list. 8. Yep, that 25-25 record sure does give you some confidence
  9. I don't see it as a hack lobbying crap. I see it as a PO'd fan voicing his frustration (found the article on "Fanposts" on the Buffalo Rumblings site). I agree with BADOBEELZ, when the CEO says the brand is tarnished, he's even admitting there's a big problem. The stats provided in the post shows why the brand is tarnished. As fans, we should expect much better from the team that we spend our time and money on. IMO, until the Bills address the most pressing needs, such as having a legitimate franchise QB (something not seen since Jim Kelly), and drastically improve the defense, everything else they do can be considered "kool-aid."
  10. I wouldn't say it's "haters hatin' " I think as the playoff drought keeps getting longer, fans are becoming more cynical. All of us want the Bills to be winners again, but after 13 years of misery, it's taking its toll.
  11. Seeing these stats really bums me out. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2013/2/1/3941884/youth-movement-is-the-new-kool-aid-in-buffalo " So, it appears that the “youth movement” is the new kool-aid that is being mixed up at One Bills Drive this year. One thing is for sure, a big change in direction was needed, especially when you look at these horrific stats: · Last winning season: 2004 (9-7) · Last playoff game: January 8, 2000 (Currently ranks 1st as the longest drought) · Last playoff win: December 30, 1995 (Currently ranks as 4th longest drought) · Last Division title: 1995 (Currently ranks as 3rd longest drought) · Last AFC Championship game: January 23, 1994 (Currently ranks as 7th longest drought) · Last Superbowl appearance: January 30, 1994 (Currently ranks as 9th longest drought) · 21 winning seasons out of 52"
  12. I've liked him as a player and have even more respect for him now.
  13. That was better than Lee Evans' stats with the Ravens last year...lol!! Honestly, I didn't look at Drivers stats, so "No" to Driver. Dwayne Bowe would be a good option though.
  14. With Nix stating the Bills need another big WR, do you think he should pursue Jennings this offseason?
  15. Before the season started, I was going with the Ravens vs the Falcons, with the Ravens winning, and I'll stick with that.
  16. I agree jw. Why start a thread wishing someone Happy Birthday, then post with a bag on their head...what a moron!! Happy Birthday Chan!
  17. howard ‏@hsimon62 I am told #bills will take a hard run at chip Kelly. No restrictions or limitations on coach search
  18. Tim Graham ‏@ByTimGraham Sources: Russ Brandon, Doug Whaley on rise; Buddy Nix easing outhttp://bit.ly/1328LtZ http://blogs.buffalonews.com/press-coverage/2013/01/sources-russ-brandon-doug-whaley-on-rise-buddy-nix-easing-out.html "CEO Russ Brandon is expected to be given greater control over football operations, answering only to owner Ralph Wilson, while General Manager Buddy Nix will be phased out. It's still unclear what the plan is for Nix. He could remain with the team in an advisory capacity and still have input on the next draft. Assistant GM and pro personnel director Doug Whaley is expected to have an increased role within the organization. What is clear is that Brandon is charting the course for football side and the coaching search to replace Chan Gailey, who was fired Monday morning. The Bills have not announced who will take part in today's news conference. Only two chairs are on the podium in the media center at One Bills Drive."
  19. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/03/31/gailey-wants-to-show-bills-fans-the-baby/ " “Talk is cheap, we all know that. It’s like I’ve always said, don’t tell me about the labor pains, just show me the baby. That’s what we’ve got to do. We’ve got to show you the baby, and the baby is winning,” Nix said Wednesday, according to the Buffalo News .
  20. More like the Cincinnati Bungals of the 90's before Marvin Lewis showed up.
  21. I've been optimistic before and saw Mike Mularkey who I felt was going to be a "Yes Sir, Mr. Donahoe" type. Then we saw Marv Levy hire Dick Jauron, who I felt was a failure at Chicago and Detroit. Last, but not least, we saw Chan Gailey, a coach who was fired from Georgia Tech, and also fired 10 days before the start of the regular season as the Chiefs Offensive Coordinator. Sorry, been burnt way too many times before. I'd love to be wrong, but like Buddy Nix stated "Show me the baby!!"
  22. I'm just trying to be realistic, not insultive, but we haven't had a competent Head Coach since Wade Phillips was fired in 2000. What are the chances the Bills get it right and hire a competent Head Coach this time? Your thoughts...
