  1. 4 hours ago, Capco said: "Only in Trumplandia does the omission of information create a clearer picture. " Think of it this way, Cap: Farmers often power wash their manure spreaders to keep them in working order. Similarly, occasionally one has to eliminate the $#it to get a clear picture, eh?
  2. Appears to be the old school kind of Family Assistance, eh?
  3. I have a different take on "most Americans." I think most Americans do have a basic understanding of the things OP posted. At the same time I think "most Americans" feel that the people "they elected" have gone off the rails to create agendas that have little or nothing to do with the things the electorate was promised, and that the electorate feels are important. The majority did not elect their representatives to become embroiled in a vast conspiracy seeking revenge for an election that saw the annointed one lose. The lack of attention to the business of government in DC has turned the electorate against the long-standing politicos who need a win to assuage their 2016 loss. Hopefully, the term limits discussion will gain momentum in the very near future.
  4. Take it, or leave it; but don't bring it!
  5. I'm really tired of the word "bring." Not so much the word itself, as its constant misuse. Bring has almost universally eclipsed the use of the word "take." If it doesn't already grate on you, you wouldn't understand....
  6. Iran set rules of engagement within the context of their views of the Middle East; Trump decided to respond, as a result of Americans suffering the impact of Iran's rules, using Iran's own rules. Why on earth do the Democrats think diplomacy figures large in Iran's world view?
  7. Just who in blue blazes Hades even intimated to Michael Moore that he could leave study hall and make this pronouncement? https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/michael-moore-apologizes-iran-us-airstrike-qassem-soleimani-trump
  8. I'm interested in your perspective on our country. If you have the time (and the inclination), I'd be glad to read your vision compared to and contrasted with mine. I have absolutely no interest in getting into a debate over the various positions, just curious as to your points of view. If you are interested in accepting my invitation, include your age at some point in the process, please.
  9. When I read about the actions and proclamations of the left wing whack jobs, I celebrate the fact that I'm eighty and not thirty. I don't accept seeing the country I live in, served in the military in support of, and once pictured as strong and embracing those in need; slowly sinking into the mire of political correctness, socialism and domestic terrorism.
  10. All the best! Pay attention to the post-op regimen and all will be well.
  11. The woman is clearly drunk; waving her right hand like a ramp guy at a private airport, and hanging on for dear life with her left hand. She knows she has created a major disaster and is desperately tryiing to hide it somewhere as soon as possible.
  12. Yup, that's one group's thinking. https://hotair.com/headlines/archives/2019/12/evidence-worlds-oldest-forest-unearthed-upstate-new-york/ The difficulty arises with Governor Andrew Cuomo researching whether to tax the remains on an individual stump, or an age basis. In any event, he is set to name the forest after his father, Mario Cuomo. Wood you believe it?
  13. Resting starters seems contrary to the one-game-at-a-time approach that has been in place all year. Rest those who are dinged up, play the rest of the team selectively with the focus on winning the game. Keep the groupings together, beat the Jets, and approach the first playoff game with momentum. (Well, that, and the Jets deserve another ass-whoopin'.)
  14. Verizon is exactly the problem for me. No coverage in the mid-Finger Lakes areas.
  15. Yeah, and who wants to be the guy that tells them to suck harder? (This from my eighty-year-old perspective)
  16. I guess the nasty (but very effective at times) way to respond is to adopt the currently popular tactic of flaming them on social media. Just think: A pissing contest with a communications giant, and you're almost anonymous! I feel your pain in that I have an AT&T cell phone account that is quite reasonable at $30/mo. plus fees and taxes. However, Spectrum offers the very same plan for $14/mo., all in, no additional fees, taxes, etc. So, I suffering the "Tarzan dilemma": Do I let go of the AT&T vine and grab the Spectrum vine, or not? I have two complete accounts with spectrum at present - cable tv, Internet, telephone times two; but I don't trust the longevity nor the coverage map of their $14. plan. As you mentioned above, leave one major corporation's shenanigans for another's? The unpleasant or despicable corporations [read "bastards"] gotcha coming and going. What's even more unnerving is when you pour out your ire in the text of the complaint, hit Submit and nothing happens!!
  17. Are youse implying that Robert Kraft, the Pat's paragon of virtue, is anything less that scrupulously ethical? A pox on your house, sir!
  18. She is well, thanks; but our stove is a darker shade of pink....
  19. Thankfully we've replaced that time in history with the Bloombergs', Jackson Lees', Pelosis', amd Waters' of today's pollitical landscape, eh?
