Preseason Week 1 Giants at Bills - Game thread

I’m forcing myself to remember it was a preseason game, but Walker and Sanders are testing my resolve. I’m getting excited about their potential. -
Preseason Week 1 Giants at Bills - Game thread
julian replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Does this thread contain any hot takes ? -
He was clearly trying to emphasize the skilled positions as being the primary concern for opposing coordinators, he’s just not a very bright dude and didn’t realize how his statement would find legs. No big deal, it’s nothing every player and coach in the league don’t already know. We’ll have to disagree on this one.
-
He was trying to gas up the offensive weapons including himself, because he’s not that bright he inadvertently told a truth about his QB. It clearly wasn’t his intention but there were no lies told.

Do the Bills Even Have a Hated Division Rival?
julian replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall
#1 Ravens because of the insecure fan base #2 Bengals because the arrogance of many Bengal players and the Media’s love affair with Burrow. #3 Chiefs for obvious reasons. i have zero feelings for the fellow division teams, until any of the 3 can field a QB to challenge Allen I just see W’s with no emotion. -
Other than losing Herbert, this is worst case scenario for the Chargers. Plenty of people believe Chargers are a playoff team, we’ll see if they can regroup.
-
Somebody actually said Cam Newton was 10x the player Josh Allen is ? I’m not sure I can blame alcohol, I’ve been pretty hammered and have never said anything so absurd lol.
-
He got to his spot, he got beat and it’s not the first time during this camp he’s beaten Benford… it’s a great sign for Coleman
-
I think so little of training camp meaning anything at all, good or bad. This might be the first time I’ve seen a clip from a training camp and actually thought this player looks cooked.
-
It’s not a serious league, they’ve been gifted a life raft and refuse to use it, once Clark is gone, back to a few thousand fans and no more segments on sports shows. The only interesting part of that league is the drama surrounding their epic mishandling of the first needle mover the league has ever had.
-
I respect that, we just see it differently.
-
It would be stupid for anyone to suggest it’s entirely Allen, but it’s not stupid to point out Allen is working with less talent than the other 3 elite QBs he's often compared to. It really was a special year on offense last season.
-
We’ll agree to disagree… cheers !!
-
That’s pretty wild to think a player can just show up and not work and be paid lol. What’s to stop the majority if not all the players from refusing any on field work ? Seems like the owners might want some language changes in the next CBA.
-
If that deal was on the table, I suspect Beane would finalize it instantly and Jerry Jones family might have him institutionalized.
-
Great… go find elite players while hes on this team… keep pushing back money into the future to get these players if necessary. 10 years is very hopeful, and we all would love to see a 40yr old Allen still playing, but realistically we’re probably looking at 7-8 more years if we’re lucky. Once he hangs up the cleats, if it takes a couple years to rid the roster of all the dead money, who gives a sh*t. I’ll say it again, I understand you wanting to maintain a balanced budget, I just don’t care about that for the next 7 years .
-
lol… I never said we were winning the salary cap game, I said I don’t want the priority of the GM to be future salary cap ramifications while Josh Allen is on the roster. I understand your view, I just disagree with it, no big deal.
-
I don’t want my GM trying to win the NFL salary cap award of the year, I want them trying to get elite level players at virtually any cost while Josh Allen remains the QB. I understand many fans see it as you do.
-
They’re the same dudes who send those instant click reject trades in fantasy, it’s so far from reality you can’t even counter.

I love leftover meatloaf sandwiches

Using the word “loser” to describe a player is just weird, you’re either intentionally looking to be combative or you’re socially awkward and can’t read a very obvious room. You’d be a star poster over at FinHeaven.

lol…. Yes there’s an obvious upside to the play it safe mindset, luckily as Bills fans we wouldn’t be mortgaging our retirement to take a swing. Now, if some fans treat draft capital as important as they do being able to eat while elderly… I’d say they need to relax lol
