It only sounds silly to people that have never owned a dog. I'll even go a little deeper and say not all dogs have this ability only special ones.

I’m not much for starting new threads but I need some cathartic moments. So here goes: We put Penny down Tuesday, she was our 9 year rescue rotty mix. We were telling a friend about the discovery of the cancer and Tuesday’s last show of love. She used the term “Heart Dog”. After her explanation, because I’ve never heard that term, I lost it. Little did we know but Penny is our heart dog. Penny was unlike any other dog we’ve ever had the pleasure of rescuing. She was prey driven (we always thought that was a joke as our previous dogs were food driven). She was the smartest. After the pool guy or lawn guys left the back yard, she would go and jiggle the gates with her paw because they were known to forget to click them shut and Penny loved to escape. She hated all furry animals on the TV. She knew all the commercials with dogs in them, she would bark and whine at the TV when they aired. So many other thoughts but I'll stop now. There is the IPO price (the price underwriters sell to their clients) and the opening trade on the exchange after the IPO price (secondary market) there is no in between price. It's quite a racket but don't kill the messenger. This is part of the reason the SPAC market has been so busy. The issue with SPACs is you don't know what you are buying, only known is management.

Since this is a football board, I've read a few of Tim Green's (1st round Draft pick from Syracuse, Author, Lawyer and NFL Commentator) books. His 1st, Ruffians is a good football book as are a few others of his. Back in early 90's I asked my boss at work how did that brokerage account get so large, his answer was to toss me a book. It was John Irving's "A Prayer for Owen Meany". I think I finished it that weekend. It's one of my favorites. I also enjoy most of Grisham's work as well. My favorite is "Runaway Jury" as it has a trading angle to it.

Dropped our land line about 2 years ago. All the friends, family, and work call the cell. Mostly telemarketers called land line. We eventually didn't even look at the phone to see who was calling. Easy decision, should have done it years earlier.

Thanks for this Virgil. Excellent write up. We picked the wrong game to have our worst game. We we're beaten/out schemed on both sides of the ball. We ran into a better team and we needed to be almost perfect (we weren't close). We won the division, swept the AFCE and won 2 playoff games (at home). We are way ahead of schedule. This will be an interesting offseason. Go Bills!
