Expect Jauron to be fired tomorrow
bladiebla replied to keepthefaith's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I share the same gut feel, 51 and waiving the holding penalty all I thought was buhbye Jauron and that was before they made the fg. If he isnt fired then he'll sit out his contract. -
Thats the roster plus the practise squad that have voted yes

Ugh.... that sounds way too familiar even with him still around...

This poll severely lacks a 'dont draft a qb' option

UFL PLayer Says His Team Could Beat the Bucs
bladiebla replied to /dev/null's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It may be possible, I honestly think some of the top NFL Europe teams would have been able to beat NFL teams in their day (i.e. 1998 Admirals with Warner (Delhomme as backup QB) and Nutten on the o-line) after their season was over (i.e. with a full season of experience and growth under their belt). NFL Europe in those days was very similar to what the UFL is now; heaps and heaps of FA's, plenty of those FA's ended up starting for NFL teams straight out of their NFL Europe seasons and plenty ended up as pro bowlers as well (at one point 60% of all probowl players had NFL Europe experience). The key with most FA's is that they play the game for passion of the game and not for the big paychecks, they are way past that illussion. Later the NFL Europe model was changed to force NFL teams to send in their PS/third stringers and FA signings were limited to a few per team (as low as a maximum of 3 at one point I believe). This led to a demise of the quality of NFL Europe during that period, a big reason was that there were a lot of so called bread players instead of passion players. I remember an arrival speech the Admirals coach gave the Admirals players; it basicly boiled down to you better be enjoying every play and every down and every minute of this season because for a lot of you this will be the very last time you'll ever play proffesional football. The Admirals went on to win the World Bowl that year with the very best team they had ever had (Hamdan was the QB btw, but also Tony Brown DT for the Titans was on that team as well as well known but with hardly any NFL impact Jared Payton (boy was he passionate about playing). The thing I always had my doubts about though in a match up versus NFL teams was the running game, apperantly running backs are easy to scout since the quality of the runningbacks have always been low in NFL Europe with only a few exceptions (Fred Jackson, Lawrence Phillips (lol) come to mind, which is very meager for 13 years NFL Europe. I imagine this being the same in the UFL. Question would thus be could a team without a decent running game win from a higher overall talented team? Also plenty of coaches have a NFL Europe background, Steve Spagnuolo anyone? /end ramble Edit: attended the first NFL London game Giants @ Dolphins, good grief worst game I seen ever with maybe only 2 NFL Europe games ever being worse then that. Any NFL Europe team would have whooped either team on that day. Also in NFL Europe as a result of the teams being completly new player groups each year the first couple of games were often below par with the end of season games being on the level of good NFL games. -
Wouldn't it be irony if Jim Kelly were to become the QB coach under OC Alex van Pelt?

The fan reaction on the draft day fanfest is an even bigger classic imho:

You really need to stop watching Fox News and/or ESPN, TO is being very realistic and realtively chill about it given how things are. Maybe, just maybe Owens is maturing.

That only reaffirms the ballot being a joke... They put it together after week 3 and are asking for votes in week 7? Wasnt the Pro Bowl meant to be the best players of the season? The whole concept baffles me, it's nothing short of a popularity contest next players will be grabbing camera's and be asking you to text for them to be in the Pro Bowl. Pro Idols is more like it. What a joke.

Sure lets add a locker to our roster, we allready have a corner and some wood, we may actually get somewhere...

I never understood the pick to begin with and all our current receivers are better then Ginn imho.

Who starts next week at QB vs Carolina?
bladiebla replied to toddgurley's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Silly, but that was my thought exactly when I saw him leave the field. Didnt understand why the commentators thought it was his knees as it clearly looked to be a concussion when he came off the field. -

Trent is going to be out for around 4 weeks at the least. Remeber that this is his second concussion. Also if not treated well enough (rested well enough), concussions can cause some nasty permanent or long term damage. -
Trade Parish, Owens and Lynch and sign Garcia

The Bills won, but that was a bad reversal on Evans
bladiebla replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As soon as you start to have to magnify the image in order to get something from it, it's no longer irrefutable. Case of where they are taking technology too far and it ruins the game. IMHO do away with the whole possesion rule; either you have it or not and if you didnt have it and loose the ball its a fumble. -
Bills owned by the fans Week 1 a dreadfull loss Bills style; FO, HC and some key players are all fired on the spot Week 2 another loss; new FO is fired, HC and FA's attracted get another week Week 3 a close win against the worst team in the league; all players have their contracts redone and receive 100% more Week 4 a loss; FO, HC and 53 players are all fired Week 5 etc etc etc

You made a mistake and were man enough to apologize to him about it. If he isn't man enough to accept it then that's his choice. Don't let the fact that nobody spoke get in the away, take it as a moral victory. They didnt talk because they did not know what to say.

What are the chances of.....
bladiebla replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
About as high as his current fan approval rating. -
OMG you just called me an idiot! Im officially insulted. Gotta give credit where it's due, Favre is looking a lot better then I ever expected him to be this season, now see if he can hold on throughout the season and then we can have another will he stay or will he go preseason.
