  1. I think we won't know how good this D is until the midpoint of the season or maybe even a little later...lot of young/new players that need to understand their role on each play and to do their 1/11th. More than any other team, the Bills rely on players playing with sound technique and being where they are supposed to be to have team success on D. Far too often, players weren't in the right place or trying to do other people's jobs yesterday. Plus 2 big pieces in Hoecht and Ogunjobi will be out for 6 weeks and would expect some serious improvement once they are inserted.
  2. When your D gives up an average of over 33 points in the last 5 elimination games in the playoffs, most in NFL history, there is a problem that needs to be fixed and it isn't with Allen.
  3. Just going to need time for the D in general with so many new/young pieces in place now. More than any other D, McD's requires a very high level of technical soundness and being in your proper position to make the defense work as a whole. Players need to do their 1/11th. It's how it's always been...when players get themselves out of position or don't stay in the proper spots or try and do someone else's job, that's when the D looks a lot worse than it probably is and why the D can improve much more than one would expect over the course of the year IMO. Also, I think we have witnessed over the last few years just how important Tremaine Edmunds role was in our D...a role Bernard looked capable of filling but has kinda slacked off a little from that pace.
  4. "The Refusal"
  5. That was on of those "This F'ing Guy..." moments
  6. Probably it was because it was the first Monday Night game in forever during the drought and they actually played pretty well and deserved to win.
  7. McDermott needs a lot of credit...that wrestler personality of never allowing your shoulders to be pinned to the ground for 3 seconds is the exact personality this Bills team has in these situations...scrapping, clawing, never giving up, never allowing the other team a moment of respite...
  8. at least Anthony Richardson was a rookie when he pulled himself out for being "too tired"
  9. The irony is that with Allen, even the impossible seems possible and it's getting to the point where it's almost expected. Like if he DIDN'T come back and win last night after Henry fumbled we would have been scratching our heads...that's the ultimate sign of true greatness that Allen has evolved to. When regardless of the chances and how impossible the odds seem, you still think that he can get it done and nearly expect him to.
  10. Joey Bosa: "I'm like in a dream right now...I don't know if I've ever been this happy after a win in my life...we allowed a lot of points, and I can be better in a lot of ways, but made the stops when we had to...I guess when you have Josh Allen you just have to give him a chance and anything's possible...I'm in shock right now...it was unbelievable." Welcome to Buffalo Joey! I do...those MF's should be made to stand on the corner with signs saying "I left the Ravens game early" for 8 hours as their punishment before being allowed back in after embarrassing us on National TV like that. Like this team, the standard is the standard for Bills Mafia and we did not meet that standard last night. Unacceptable showing for Bills Mafia. When you set the bar that high, you can't settle for anything less.
  11. I'm going to guess after having no real reps in the pre-season it took him a bit to get fully acclimated again.
  12. That one along with the Cowboys Monday night game where George Wilson returns an INT for a TD, the Bills are up the whole game and Cowboys win on a last second FG.
  13. Now I see why Hailee was so gung ho about marrying Allen...
  14. sill nowhere close to Brian Smolinski or Brad Marchand who are both in the "no words, punch on site" category for me still.
  15. He pulled an Anthony Richardson and pulled himself out of the game cause he was a little too tired. Even tho they were only on the field for 10 minutes in the 2nd half.
  16. I was waiting for the old "Bobby Wagner" or "LeBron James" call or the Daboll classic - "Gold Rip/Whip"
  17. Orlovsky breaking down the last 2 plays that show Allen's understanding pre-snap of what is going on and what the D is trying to do...also that long pass to Cook was set up by Allen sliding the line over to pick up the blockers and leaving a free rusher coming at him towards the play-side that he looped the ball over to a wide open Cook...Collinsworth I thought needed a moment to himself to settle down after that he was praising Allen changing the protection call so much... Allen is elite pre-snap now, as if he wasn't a big enough problem already, now you simply can't even count on disguising stuff and fooling him.
  18. Oh yeah...Allen also now has the most rushing TDs in Bills history now, with 67, passing Thomas who he was tied for with 65 coming into the game.
  19. Allen's 251 yards passing in the 4th quarter is the most by a QB in a single quarter in NFL history... And yet again we have a "For the first time in NFL history, Josh Allen..." https://www.si.com/nfl/bills/news/week-1-anatomy-of-the-comeback-how-bills-produced-ridiculous-rally-over-stunned-ravens
  20. 394 yards passing, with 251 of them coming in the 4th quarter. Another 30 on the ground. 424 total yards and 4 TDs.
  21. Let's not forget this isn't the first time that Jackson lost to Allen when leading by 15+. They had a 20-3 lead on the Bills with 13 seconds left before the half and Allen got a TD to make it 20-10 at the half and then the Ravens never scored again, losing 23-20. Sorry, but when you have it happen this many times, it's a pattern and to try and say the QB is absconded of blame is absurd.
  22. Pretty high praise from the producer of SNF
