  1. Essentially Cooper is a risk free trade because if we don't resign him in FA, we get a comp pick most likely that will be a 3rd or 4th rounder.
  2. It's hard to find a player that makes key plays late in the 4th quarter in big games. Chiefs have 2 players that do that in Mahomes and Jones, Bills only have 1. That IS the difference, but there is no way of knowing how a player we trade for will be in that role...theoretically, Von should be that player for us as he has been throughout his career.
  3. I mean they have been in the top 5 most years under McD, certainly top 10 so that isn't exactly bend but don't break. Over the last 3-4 years the Bills hold teams under 200 yards passing as frequently as they go over 200 yards passing...Not 300 yards...200 yards...that's absurd in today's NFL.
  4. 84% in college is not poor accuracy from what I can gather based on most college kickers
  5. It's not devalued in THIS defense. It's literally the key to their entire scheme. I think you should stop talking about this because it's clear you are lacking comprehension as to why he isn't starting and expecting someone who has not gotten reps to simply step into this defense and be a "Straight baller" right out the gate is not realistic. I mean even Kyle Hamilton mostly sucked in Baltimore his rookie year and now is an multiple time all-pro.
  6. Fortunately talent evaluators are more interested in how a player fits inside THEIR specific scheme than what he did in his role in college. You mean when he isn't knifing into the backfield to make TFL's right? Because he has a sh!t ton of those too. Or do not see those either?
  7. How to say "I don't understand how the defensive scheme works without saying I don't know how the defensive scheme works". He needs reps and experience, which he would have gotten in training camp and preseason if he wasn't injured most of it. Or should the Bills have had a crystal ball to see that was going to happen also? SMFH at some people.
  8. Not the way it works in this scheme. Safeties are the key to the entire defense. If he can't be relied upon to do what he is supposed to do on every play and not get smoked deep then he will not play until he can be.
  9. The Bills safeties have to be able to both disguise coverages well and know their assignments inside and out. Getting burned by not doing what he was supposed to do on that 67 yard Collins TD was not something McDermott is going to accept. Douglas gave him a "WTF are you doing rookie, where is my help?" motion as he was chasing Collins...Their number one rule is don't get beat over the top. He missed a lot of training camp and preseason and hasn't had a lot of reps...he needs more reps and to get more comfortable in the scheme and with what they are doing on D. His role is to learn how to play in this system properly and what his role is in relationship to the other 10 guys out there.
  10. OK...let's see what happens...that's a big 'ol boy right there... 5' 11" 243 lbs...his nickname was "The Thiccer Kicker". Pretty solid stats at Mizzou, that's a solid D1 program...
  11. So is a miss by a yard somehow better? They all count the same...for nothing. You don't get bonus points by missing 'closer' This ain't horseshoes or cornhole or curling.
  12. I mean maybe after seeing what they did Nyheim Hines his expectations are tempered. Didn't seem to have an issue integrating Rasul tho...
  13. I have no idea how Rodgers will make it out alive in that game.
  14. And replacing him with who exactly that you can guarantee is going to be better? Have you watched some of these backup kickers lately in other games? They have been as bad if not worse. Joseph comes to mind in the Giants game
  15. And one super bowl clinching catch every 3 SB's
  16. Another bigger receiver too...looks like an AJ Brown type that can bully you... 6' 1" 212 lbs
  17. No surprise here MVS...we hardly knew ye...
  18. Kicking is 90% mental. One bad kick leads to another, leads to him changing his technique/stance/approach/starting angle, etc, leads to a mess that becomes hard to break out of.
  19. Just approved at the owners meetings... https://www.yahoo.com/sports/super-bowl-return-atlantas-mercedes-182902615.html
  20. Sneed looking to complete the Allen trifecta this week... He has been hurdled, juked to the ground so bad it looked like he broke his ankle, now Allen just needs to truck him.
