They still have to pay him.

McDermott’s defensive timeouts have jumped the shark

It's easy to say that but there are plenty of times where they do work out but nobody actually talks about those because it doesn't fit the narrative they want to project. -
Week 7 - Titans at Bills Game Week Thread

I mean it might be...the D has the potential to make Levis look really bad and have him seeing ghosts with our coverage disguises, but he also has some of Allen in him where he can make any throw at any time to anywhere on the field also. -
You mean other than not having the cap space to cut him with adding 7.3 million in dead cap and having to pay a replacement on top of that? This isn't Madden.

This is not accurate. McD almost always preserves time at the end for Allen. People really need to stop simply saying whatever they think based on misremembering games without actually having any factual basis for it. Essentially you are making up something that doesn't happen most games. -
Can't. Will cost 7.3 million in Dead Cap that we already don't have plus paying his replacement on top of that. People really should understand where the Bills are against the cap and the ramifications before posting wild ideas about cutting everyone and trading for everyone.

Week 7 - Titans at Bills Game Week Thread

Ranked #1 in the NFL and the only D that has given up 21 or less points every game. This is not going to be a cake walk. -
Not really... He had some nice plays in the prior weeks...Bills kept trying to use him in situations where it was short yardage and their short yardage blocking sucks for the most part outside Allen sneaks. Not sure what you expect a back to do when he is being hit in the backfield on plays.

I thought Allen said it was their best pass play called versus Cover 0 and it was a swing pass to Johnson -

I still am heated because with all the penalties called the refs missed a blatant illegal man downfield on that double screen where he wanted to throw it to Hall but he was covered and then came back late to the TE for a first down...the Jets OL player was literally 6 yards down field blocking before the ball was thrown...it was blatant...no call. If you are going to call all those phantom penalties, can we at least call actual penalties? -
Because people have been mentally indoctrinated for 60+ years every time they turn on the TV to watch a game or read something in the media. To be fair...turnovers do matter to most teams, just not really much to the Bills...at least for the last 4 years. When you don't punt, convert 3rd downs at a historically high rate and score the most points per game in the NFL it essentially makes the point moot. Doubly because some of the turnovers essentially were a form of punt where Allen threw the ball deep on 3rd down and the team ended up being pinned inside the 10 and almost all of them happened on the other side of the field so teams rarely were getting short fields to work with. Exactly how is punting 5 times and having no turnovers better than throwing 2 INTs and punting 0 times? Makes no logical sense.

Ray Davis looks MUCH better with a little bit of space to operate

5'8" 211 lbs...that is a muscular human bowling ball running downhill I thought Davis had some nice runs the first 5 weeks. Bills are not a great short yardage team outside of Allen keeping it so I am not sure what he is expected to do when guys are meeting him in the backfield. -

Davis Allen Rapp AJE Taron Bernard

Imagine how many Mahomes would have if players caught all of the ones he throws and he didn't constantly get bailed out by penalties on them.
-
Allen said they called their best Cover 0 beater and he took a peek outside and saw it was there so he just took it. Buck kept misidentifying Bills players...I was wondering if he was drinking in the box again 🤣
-
At the end of the year they don't ask how, only how many. Win by any means necessary and as Allen says, you only need one more point than the opposition at the end of the game.

100%...I meant that the player holding was unnecessary since he was going to score anyway -

The holding call on the TD run was not BS, the dude was being hogtied with an arm around his neck as he tried to reach for the player. He is restricting the defender's movement while he is attempting to reach the ball carrier. That's a penalty. It was unnecessary for him to hold since he was going to score anyway but that's definitely a penalty.
