Now THAT was funny!!! 😂

I just don't think he's got the physical make-up for that position. He's an absolute freak athlete...But IMHO his instincts and tackling at the point of attack are lacking. And it may simply be because they put so much on his plate. He really struggled a lot this year at finishing tackles around the line of scrimmage. You just can't have that from a 4-3 MLB... 😎
-
I hear ya...But it's not hindsight or insane for me...Go look up my posts...It was the right pick...Period.
-
You really think he's a 4-3 MLB? I realize he can be an asset...I just don't think it's inside in a 4-3...😎
-
I'm guessing you are not including DK Metcalf in the list of those other players. Because that is exactly who I would have taken. And I made that point abundantly clear here about a million times...😂
-
Me too! At this point it's all about how they can maneuver with the Cap...😎 Even when he guesses right and beats his block he misses WAY too many tackles near or at the line of scrimmage... It's frustrating...😎

I think Oliver and Edmunds can be part of a very good Defense, I just don't think it's this Defense or this design any longer. McD is going to have to go back to the drawing board, especially with this front 7. There are both personnel and scheme needs that need to be addressed. I think the warnings were there all season, but we got bailed out by some very timely turnovers in big moments. Everyone knows that is not a formula for consistent success on Defense in the course of an entire season, and even more in the Playoffs. It will catch up to you eventually. Especially vs Offenses like KC's... There are obvious Cap considerations...But my best guess is something like this will happen personnel-wise. Milano will be allowed to leave unless he wants to give the Bills a 1 year deal at a major home town rate. Edmunds will be moved to Milano's spot and the Bills will either Draft, sign, or trade for a more traditional 4-3 MLB who is decent in zone coverage. If Star comes back that will help Oliver quite a bit. But no matter what that has to be addressed. I really don't think Oliver will amount to much more than he is now. A rotational guy who is high effort but VERY undersized. The Bills #1 priority on Defense in the off season will be to bring in talent to help the Pass Rush. Regardless of what happens personnel-wise, this scheme and a lot of their game-planning need a major workover under a serious microscope. Self Scouting and some real, honest, and I'm sure humbling, conversations need to take place. There is plenty to build on....But some major changes are needed on D. 😎

There was one crossing route early in the game where Edmunds dropped in zone and literally ran the opposite direction with Hill flashing behind him and I yelled "Where the hell are you going!" 😂 -

I think when we have time to take a deep breath and look back on this season it will become even more impressive that the Bills Offense was as good as it was considering we had next to no running game to compliment at all...It really is amazing. -

I think Josh took major steps this year taking what Defenses gave him...But I totally agree Josh was looking a bit too much for someone to shake loose down the field. He's got to get better in that regard. I also don't feel Daboll did enough to help him... But I'm optimistic about Josh. He'll get better...Especially if the Bills can get him any kind of complimentary run game. They literally looked like a bunch of chickens running around with their heads chopped off tonight... It was ugly... -

The fact that Hill and Kelsey just ran wild on us tonight proves how poor our game plan was on Defense. No way you beat this team without at least limiting those two. If they are going to beat you with the other guys so-be-it. But letting the two guys you know you have to stop just kill you...That is a BIG problem. 😎 -

Yep...Can't pay Market Value for that guy. If he comes back cheap so-be-it. But the Bills need to upgrade the O-line. I don't think standing pat is a good idea. -

Totally agree...It's frustrating because if you only watched this game tonight you would think the Bills went 15-3 with smoke and mirrors this year...And that is not the case... What I really cannot understand is the stubbornness they showed to play an injured Gabe Davis and not utilize McKenzie more. Especially in the Red Zone. They seemed to realize that later in the game, but by that time it was too late. I really don't get it because it seems like this would have been the perfect time to game plan some special stuff for him...Especially on 3rd down and in the Red Zone, because they had barely used him in the first two playoff games. This was really tough to watch because they needed a great game plan. And they got none. 😎 -

They were thoroughly out-coached in this game. I mean...KC has a ton of talent granted. And it's not even to say the Bills would have won. But they were taken to the woodshed by Reid's staff...It was ugly, and made us look worse than we actually are. That is never a good look for a HC... -

It's hindsight now but I think he had even more opportunities to pull it down and take off if he wanted too...But he had so much success all year holding it till someone broke open he died on that sword tonight...It is what it is I guess...😎 -

The Bills were good most of the season when they got deep in enemy territory. But Daboll could not dial up anything tonight when the field tightened up. If he had this would have been a shoot-out. Maybe we still lose...But it would have been a lot closer. 😎 -

Well...IMHO that is mostly due to the fact that the Bills have absolutely no threat in the running game. The Moss loss, though he's far from from a feature back, really hurt this team because they were beginning to find just a little balance before he went down. You don't need a big running game when you can pass it really well, but you need the threat. And the Bills just don't have that threat. This allows teams to concentrate solely on our passing game...It's the next problem the Bills need to solve in the off-season to take the next step. Or they need to get Daboll to Andy Reid's level...And that's not happening any time soon... -

It's crazy, but that was a HUGE momentum shifter. -
It was a fantastic season. They played a top 5 strength of schedule and we were a Hail Mary away from finishing 16-3...That's really, really good.... They will be better next year. IMHO the deficiencies are pretty obvious. And there are plenty of strengths to build upon... GO BILLS!!!
