  1. Please tell me that was a joke...
  2. He's an absolute beast and he's getting better...There is almost no limit to how good he can be once the Panthers get the final pieces in place...
  3. Exactly what I was thinking...I get that he's 32 and it could be expected...But this guy was considered elite...He was an All Pro in 2010...This is a pretty rapid decline...
  4. I can't find a ranking or projection that has Manziel out of the 1st round...Most of them have him in the top half of the 1st round...Not sure where you're getting your information...He's done nothing but improve his stock this season...
  5. We now have 3 young QB's in tow with a combined 10 NFL starts and an average age of 23.33 years...One is a 1st Round Draft pick, and all three have shown the ability to move the ball vs. good NFL Defenses...They are basically all Rookies...I think your assessment of the QB situation in Buffalo is a bit extreme to say the least...What the Bills are experiencing right now at QB is the definition of growing pains...I think in a few years there is a very decent chance these three will be a strength...not a weakness...It's simply been a strange year with injuries, and that happens in the NFL at times, especially at QB...If it happens next year these kids will have experience under fire...Not to mention there is not a single QB in the draft coming out that is a sure fire prospect like Luck...And that includes Bridgewater... The #1 need on this team is a big time WR...We have all the complimentary pieces, we just need to replace TJ Graham's spot with a real stud WR...The #2 need is either CB or O-Line ( I think we can use upgrades at LG and RT)...We're going to need another Safety if Byrd leaves...We could also use a stud pass catching TE to compliment Chandler...QB is well down the list for this team IMHO...We just need to keep developing what we have, and keep them healthy...
  6. Personally I think the call was probably right based on the rule...It's the rule that is terrible IMHO...
  7. This is a great point and highlights the absurdity of the rule itself...
  8. This rule has got to be changed...If that is not a catch in this league then there is something terribly wrong with the game...I understand the rule as it is written...And I understand why the officials had to uphold the call...The problem is the rule itself...This is ridiculous...
  9. Maybe so...But that INT was 100% on Tuel's decision...You can't get any more open than Stevie was...Complete blown coverage and the kid missed it...That's exactly how Rookie QB's can kill you...
  10. Well...Tuel looked 100% better than I thought he would on that drive...Not that it means much...But that was light years ahead of the Cleveland game...
  11. My expectations are so low for the kid it will be almost impossible for him to play that poorly...
  12. "If you listen to fools the Mob Rules..."
  13. I said a couple weeks ago I thought the Bills would win this game...I think KC is WAY overdue for a loss...They have had their share of close games... At the end of the 3rd quarter vs. Philly they were only up 16-9... They beat Dallas at home 17-16...They score the game winning FG with about 4 minutes left... They were behind at Tennessee with less than 7 minutes left in the 4th quarter... At home vs. Oakland they were tied at halftime and only up by a TD at the end of the 3rd quarter... They beat the Texans at home by a point... They beat Cleveland at home by 6 and were only up a FG to start the 4th quarter... This is the most beatable 8-0 team in the history of the NFL... Seriously though...The Chiefs will bring a really stout Defense and an Offense that is efficient but unspectacular...The Bills HAVE to avoid the turnovers...That's the #1 thing in this game...But I think it's another close one, with the Bills pulling it out in the 4th quarter 23-17... PS...I wrote this before I heard Lewis did not practice today...No way do I see the Bills beating the Chiefs with Tuel at QB...And Flynn?...Good grief...
  14. I know you did not mean to make that font so small...It hurt my eyes... To your point though...I agree the Bills will likely Franchise Byrd with the intent on trading him this off season, but the rumors concerning what Byrd wants to sign are going to make it awfully hard to deal him for fair compensation...I just can't imagine any team will be willing to give up a high round Draft pick for the rights to overpay a Safety with PF in both feet...But we'll see...
  15. It's looks like Rapoport has shed quite a bit of light on #1 today...And it has been rumored around here for months now...Byrd want to be the highest paid S in the NFL... As for #2, the rumors were the Bills wanted to make Byrd more like the 4th or 5th highest paid Safety in the NFL... We may not know exactly what the numbers are, but I'm pretty sure the basics are out there, and have been for some time now... And while I really like Byrd and I hope they can work something out, if you really want to know why the Bills don't want to make him the top paid Safety in the NFL all you had to do was watch that Seattle game tonight...Byrd is good, but there's no way he's the best Safety in the NFL...No way...Top 5 probably...But #1? No way...
  16. I will say this much...I believe this team is on the rise...It may not show up in every game this season, but I think it's pretty apparent...Especially on Defense...One of the toughest things in the NFL seems to be the ability to go 2 deep at QB without a tremendous drop-off...I think Lewis has the raw ability to be a solid back-up in the NFL, but it's tough to gauge right now due to his lack of gameday experience...His sailing balls, lack of ball security, and inaccuracy at times give me clear moments of pause when trying to project his future with this team...I do hope that the Bills are able to nail this issue down by the beginning of next season...Because in 2014 this team is going to be looking to take a major step forward, and I think they'll have most of the guns too do it...But if EJ goes down again the back-up is going to have to be expected to win, like Reich did...It's going to be really important down the road...I just have that feeling...
  17. Dareus? He was 318 at his Combine...He was in incredible shape when he came out... He blew up after the Draft...
  18. That's one Draft moment I will NEVER forget...I was in my LR, and when the Bills pick came up I was literally jumping up and down and chanting Ngata!!!...Ngata!!!...Ngata!!! I was SO happy I was actually making a fool of myself...Then the pick came...And at first I was in shock...Then the anger set in...Then I turned around and looked for something to kick...I picked the 25 lb dumbbell on the floor...One BIG problem..I forgot I was barefoot...And I split my big toe open pretty good... And folks wonder why I hated Whitner...
  19. I think most of the pundits this AM got it about right concerning Freeman /Frazier last night...And despite the fact that Freeman did not help himself much, it's pretty obvious the blame is squarely on Frazier for putting him in that position...It was reported this AM that the decision to start Freeman was 100% Frazier's...At the absolute very least...well...Let's say Freeman looked awesome in practice and fooled Frazier...At the very least Frazier should have realized by halftime he made a huge mistake rushing Freeman in, and should have put Ponder in the game while it was still winnable...I really believe Frazier lost a good portion of that locker room last night...I really do...He was basically a lame duck anyway...Last night sealed Frazier's fate...And I'm not surprised at all because I think the guy is a joke of a HC...
  20. I don't think Williams was ever viewed as a sure-fire LT...LT was a HUGE projection for him, and most people, including the Bills, accepted that upfront... However...Williams had the size and all the athletic ability necessary to be a dominate RT for 10 years in the NFL... Unfortunately size and athletic ability is all he had...He was missing ALL the intangibles...every single one... Ouch!!! That's pretty bad!!!
  21. Well...At the time few knew how good Thad Lewis was going to be...Though I have to say I voted for Thad to be the starter on the TBD Poll...And I think that was before they brought him up... As far as Freeman is concerned that ridiculously bad performance tonight is on Frazier...I'm not a big fan of Frazier...Never have been, and his stupid comments after the pre season game with the Bills just fueled my dislike for the guy even more...I think he's WAY overrated as a HC...And the decision to start Freeman this early will likely not sit well in that Vikes locker room...Freeman gave the Vikes zero chance to win in a game that was REALLY winnable...The Defense played well enough, and I think Ponder would have had them in it in the end...I think Frazier is on a major hot seat now... One thing Marrone and Hackett understood was that Thad had 6 weeks in the system before his first start...He knew the whole Offense, and he's a smart kid...Freeman was put in an almost impossible situation tonight and he looked WAY off...I don't ever think I've seen an NFL QB miss so many open receivers high...That was terrible...He was no where near ready...And IMHO his HC is to blame...I don't think Freeman is all that...I never did...But he's not as bad as he looked tonight either...However, Frazier is that bad...At least I think he is... That was a terrible game to watch tonight...Just awful...
  22. Definitely RJ...No doubt about it... Trentative was a close second...But in my defense he did not look bad early on, and I still think he was never really the same after that hit by Adrian Wilson...
  23. Marrone said he just missed it...Didn't get all of it...He said they definitely did not call for the short kick to run some clock...
  24. Yes...It looked like Tannehills's knee did stay off the ground based on the replay... To the OP's point I had no idea it was this close when I watched it live...That's a HUGE miss by the booth to not at least take a look at it...I'm pretty sure that is review-able because the play continued...That's a 13 yard miss...And that 13 yards could have cost The Bills that game, seeing as though the lead was only 2 points...You would think on a Kickoff they would have plenty of time to look at it, and catch it...Figures...
  25. This is a message board about the Bills, and not about the Bills fans on the message board... And if any fan base has a reason to be upset, or expect doom...it's this one... And that's all I'm going to say about this thread...
