  1. Seriously? You really believe that?
  2. The main issue I have with Brandon is that he seems to be convinced the overall talent of this roster is better than what I believe it to be...Otherwise though I genuinely like the guy and think he works hard at what he does...
  3. Murray's a great College QB...I enjoyed watching him at Georgia...But I don't like him projecting to the NFL...I never really have, and I've seen a ton of his games over the years...He's a shorter pocket passer and he does not have an elite arm...I just don't see a place for guys like him as starters in the NFL...But we'll see...I think the knee injury is really going to hurt his stock...He may be available late...
  4. Exactly John...I told myself a while back that if he got hurt again...Especially if it was the knee...I would change my mind about Drafting a QB in 2014...My mind has officially changed...
  5. I like Mettenburger more than Murray...But I would prefer a QB not coming off a knee tear...
  6. I'm certainly not saying this is going to derail EJ's career...Just saying the Bills better start working on Plan B just in case...
  7. I'm not a big Murray fan...He's on the short side, coming off an ACL that requires surgery, and does not have the escape skills of guys like Vick, Brees, Wilson, or Manziel...
  8. OK...I'm officially 100% in on Drafting a QB in 2014 in the first few Rounds... I like EJ a lot...I like his potential and he's going to be here for a while regardless...But 3 knee injuries in one season? If that's not a red flag I don't know what is...Better to plan for the worst and hope for the best... And I'm not comfortable with Lewis, Kolb, or Tuel as anything more than back-ups...
  9. I would give you that theory on a more established team talent-wise than the Bills...When you are established, especially at the players position (WR in this case), then no question a team is going to lean to the guy with less issues at the time...Which I think played part in the decision to cut Rogers...This organization has been over-valuing the actual talent here for a while now...IMHO the Bills were in the perfect position to gamble a bit on Rogers with that 6th WR position...They had nothing to lose...They could always cut him later if he was not progressing...They simply had to show a little patience and lean heavy on the top 5 WR's...And yes it does matter that the Bills lack leadership at the WR position...I think the very presence of Reggie Wayne has made a big difference for Rogers...Reggie Wayne will not be outworked...And I doubt, even injured, he's going to stand for less than 100% effort from any WR on that team... And no offense, but anyone who thinks this team is better off this year with Hogan instead of Rogers is taking a bigger leap than the folks assuming Rogers will become a legit NFL WR...Especially considering the team is 5-9...No one would have noticed...In fact there is a better chance Rogers would have at least made a couple big plays by now given the opportunity...So maybe we would have noticed...And he's got all the athletic talent needed to run down the field and make 6 tackles in 14 games on ST's... This move was all about Marrone making a statement...He was not going to be flexible with Rogers and make an exception as a Rookie HC...And I do understand that is his way...It's his way or the highway right now...I get that... We'll see in time if it works to his advantage...My guess is had they worked with Rogers and turned him around the way Indy is attempting to do it would have bought Marrone a heck of a lot more respect in that locker room...Especially with the younger players...But we'll see...I could be wrong...
  10. The Tampa game killed his rating...He was right around 82 before that...Which is certainly respectable for a Rookie QB...
  11. D came up big when it counted...It was not pretty...But it all worked out in the end...
  12. It wasn't pretty...
  13. Wow! How about that?
  14. Finally something to cheer about!!!
  15. J-ville showing complete disregard for our ability to block anyone... You know...Marrone is an ex O-Lineman, and ex O-Line coach...If there was one area I did not expect the Bills to implode in it was the O-Line play...I think this is telling...
  16. Figures...Jacksonville able to create something to get an elusive player a little space...Buffalo tries to do the same thing earlier and they can't execute at all...It's the little things...This team is not responding to the coaching they are getting on offense whatsoever...This Bills offense is looking brutal...
  17. I hear what you're saying...And I don't completely disagree...But the Pats still have plenty of talent, especially on the O-Line and some in the secondary...Their depth along the D-line has played impressively considering...Chandler Jones is very, very good...They have far less talent on Defense after the injuries no question...But enough talent to win around Brady who makes everything easier...The Belichick "system" is one of a kind in the NFL...But the biggest part of that system is the fact that he basically has an OC, and the ultimate team leader, for a QB...And that QB has stayed healthy most of his career...
  18. Great post...Absolutely correct...
  19. The original statement about Whitner had absolutely nothing to do with Marrone, and everything to do with the organization as a whole over the years...This move with Rogers follows a familiar pattern of doing things opposite of what seems to be pretty obvious and safe...Keeping Rogers for a year or two to see if he was capable of maturing on the field would have hurt absolutely nothing, and had a potential big payoff...The Bills organization dating back years now have made personnel decisions that completely boggle the mind...The worry here is that were headed in that direction once again with another regime...I for one am hoping Marrone turns out to be fantastic...But I'm not going to assume anything anymore...I've been fooled way too many times...I'm forever the pessimist with this organization until they prove to me they can be trusted...Marrone is just part of that overall equation...But a big part nonetheless... I'm definitely against cutting Stevie...I'm a huge Stevie fan...Though he drives me nuts every now and again like everyone else around here I imagine...I think had we kept Rogers I may feel a bit different about it...But the way I see it now we have no one to replace Stevie, so I'm definitely not in favor of letting him go...At least for 2014...
  20. Well...Time will tell if the Rogers decision was a good one or not...But it's certainly not looking great at this moment...And IMHO neither is Marrone...We'll see in time...But I'm starting to get a negative vibe about Marrone...I have not been crazy about a lot of his interview answers on WGR...He seems a little nuts at times...But not crazy like a fox nuts...Just off-beat and weird nuts...I'm hoping for the best though...But I am admittedly worried that we have another dud on our hands...
  21. It's a totally fair opinion...No question you could be 100% right...It's just a gut feeling I have about McCarron...To be honest I think he would further benefit from being passed over the way Brady did...I think that, like Brady it would REALLY piss him off and give him even more incentive...But we'll see I guess...It can go either way, or somewhere in the middle...I'm not banging the table for the kid...But I definitely would not be disappointed if he landed in Buffalo...That's for sure...
  22. I think S-J will be gone by the 2nd...But I would LOVE that Draft no question...Just LOVE it!!!
  23. I know we've beat this horse to death...But it still boggles my mind that this organization continues to go against the grain on decisions that seem to be no-brainers...I go all the way back to the Whitner pick with this feeling of paranoia that they will do something dumb instead of what seems to be the obvious, and relatively safe, thing to do...This organization has been great at out-thinking itself for what seems like forever now...And the Rogers deal is just the latest chapter IMHO...
  24. Well...I think you have a point when you're talking about the Draft as we know it now because the Bills have one pick in each round currently...But a trade down like last year that nets a second round pick and I would be more than willing to spend one of those 2nd's or the 3rd on a QB like McCarron... And I'm not giving up on EJ whatsoever...I'm also not giving up on trying to find a Franchise QB...And EJ is not yet a Franchise QB...
