  1. So the distinction is basically the word "dire" right? Because the Bills obviously have big needs...Or at the very least have positions that could use a big-time upgrade...
  2. I can't see how it's possible that a 6-10 team has no dire needs...There's got to be a couple...I think LG would definitely be one...And a true #1 WR would be another...
  3. I think #2 would be FAR more likely than #1...
  4. I really believe that 3 years from now Robinson will be seen as the best player from this Draft assuming he stays healthy... I also believe that the chances of him lasting to #9 are slim and none...But should he be there the Bills should run to the podium...
  5. For the life of me I don't see the logic in getting rid of Stevie...But sometimes I feel like I'm in the minority...Which does surprise me a bit... Oh well... I should add though that Stevie has had his fair share of injuries...Some (the groin) seem to be a bit chronic...So maybe there is some logic in it due to his salary...I'd just hate to see him go...I really like the guy...
  6. I think Mack goes to Minnesota at #8 assuming the top 3 QB's are gone (and they will be)...I think #8 is too high for Carr... But we'll see...it's awfully early still...Anything can happen...
  7. I think there is an excellent chance that Mack goes in the top 8...And don't discount the possibility of Dennard sneaking in there...He'll likely be the top rated CB in this Draft and may become a factor if a team in the top 8 gets desperate for a cover CB... I also think there is an excellent chance the Bills trade down with Evans, Ebron, or Benjamin being the eventual target... I doubt very highly Marquise Lee is on the Bills radar...I think they're looking for a bigger receiver with the only possible exception being Watkins because he's an absolute freak athletically...
  8. No worries I think... I would be shocked...I mean literally floored if the Bills went Defense in the 1st Round...
  9. Robinson (who more than likely won't be there at #9) is, IMHO, a much better prospect than Watkins or Mack...He certainly should be able to play LT in the NFL without an issue...I think all things considered, and again this is just my opinion, he's the best prospect in this Draft...And that includes Clowney or any of the QB's...Robinson has elite, All-Pro potential...
  10. Well...I'm a Michigan fan...And though I like Lewan I think there is a gulf-like gap between Lewan and Robinson...Some are comparing Lewan to Jake Long...I would compare him more to Nate Solder with a bit of a mean streak...Lewan is a good prospect...I'm just uncertain he's #9 overall good... I think Matthews is a cut above Lewan as well because at this point he's more polished...But they are close, and Lewan may have the higher ceiling if he can round off his game... I'm in favor of a trade down from #9 unless Robinson is there...I think the Bills can trade down a bit and still get one from a group that includes Lewan at OT, Evans or Benjamin at WR, or Ebron at TE...That's the way I would approach this Draft if I was Whaley...But we'll see...
  11. Saw this earlier today...Really shocked me, though I guess it shouldn't have...He was on NFL Network almost daily...They seemed to be pushing him pretty hard... Sounds like some real dirt-bag stuff if it's true...And I was less than impressed with his takes...so...No big loss...
  12. If Greg Robinson is there at #9 I'd sprint to the podium... The other top OT's I'm not as high on as I am Robinson...
  13. Well...Williams was 4th overall...The Bills pick 9th this year so that should make you feel a little better... Tyron Smith went #9 overall just two years ago...I doubt I have to tell you how many quality OT's have gone in the top 10...Even the top 5...But to me at least all that does not matter in comparison to Robinson...I think that kid is a major difference maker waiting to happen...He's got perennial All Pro-type potential...He also projects well at any O-line position outside of C...He's special...And Williams was more of a bad luck pick anyway...He certainly had the ability to be a 10 year plus NFL RT...He just never really had the desire...
  14. Love Robinson!!! I'm already 110% convinced he won't be there at #9...But if by chance that minor miracle happens, I enjoy seeing him and Glenn as bookends for many years to come...I'm not real big on taking an OT at #9, especially an OT you know is going to play RT at least for the next couple years...But I do feel Robinson is such a can't miss prospect there is no way you pass on that kid...
  15. It's still early in the off season...But I have not changed my opinion on what I think the Bills will do whatsoever... I think the Bills will go Offense in the 1st round (WR, TE, or an OT that may play at LG as a Rookie)...I think they'll look look to trade out of #9...Hoping there will be a player available there that is coveted (like Watkins, Dennard, or Mack)...I think if by some miracle Greg Robinson is available at #9 the Bills will stay put and take him...And I think in a trade down the targets will be Ebron, Evans, or Benjamin... I do think the Bills will look to add one piece on Defense through Free Agency...Like they did last year with Lawson... And lastly I think besides the obvious priority of re-signing Byrd, the Bills will look to get Carrington locked up too...Maybe they can work out something with Parker to get both his clients signed up before March 8th...And...maybe not...
  16. The Bills were 1st in the NFL rushing attempts but only 14th in average yards per rush...They certainly tried to run the ball really well...But the results were mixed...
  17. The more I look at this Draft the more I agree with this take...My one exception would be if OT Greg Robinson somehow managed to slide to #9...Which I realize is very unlikely...He's the one guy I would 100% stay put and Draft...Otherwise a trade down would be my preference...Even if Watkins is there at #9...And I really like Watkins a lot...I just think there is even better value in trading down a bit and picking up an extra #2...The mass influx of Jr's in this Draft has made the first two rounds very deep IMHO...And 3 picks in the first 50 or so would really give the Bills a chance to further improve this roster...I think in a trade down scenario Ebron, Evans, or Benjamin would be the target in round #1...
  18. Here's what I Drafted...I doubt very much either of my top two picks will be available when the Bills go to Draft at #9 and #41...But they were there and I took em'... 9. OT Greg Robinson 41. WR Kelvin Benjamin 73. CB Loucheiz Purifoy 105 OT Jack Mewhort 137. ILB Max Bullough 169. RB James Wilder Jr. 201. TE Jake Murphy
  19. True...To an extent at least...I think especially true with Joeckel...And not because he was injured...But simply because I was not nearly as high on him as I was Fisher...Fisher is a beast and a brawler...,And I would take Fisher over any of the O-Line prospects this year outside of Robinson...I think Robinson is the best prospect O-Lineman to come out in the last two years by a bit...I would not be at all surprised if Robinson is the first non QB Drafted in 2014...I think if Robinson reaches his ceiling he'll be a perennial All Pro...
  20. Oh goodness...More reason to get my hopes up... Watkins claimed to run a 4.27 on grass last spring too...Don't want to get my hopes up too high though...I just don't see how he gets to #9...
  21. It's not that high...He's a situational guy playing opposite of Mario Williams on obvious passing situations...He's a niche player but very good at his niche...He's worth more to the Bills anyway...The Bills will utilize him in 2014 the same way they did in 2013...And I doubt very much they move him...That would eliminate a good chunk of their effective pass rush with no one to fill the gap...
  22. I often wonder how Biscuit would have fared in the eyes of his critics had he remained at OLB and rushed the passer most of the time like Derrick Thomas...Bennett gave up stats to help his team every way he could, including moving inside...He was one of the better cover LB's of his time...He could do it all...And I think that gets lost a bit...He was an amazing talent...
