Great post pimp...But you're using way to much knowledge and reasoning while responding to a poster who had his own personal Matt Scott appreciation month leading up to last years Draft....So... Just busting your chops 1billsfan...But I'll never forget that Matt Scott thread...It was the bain of my existence...

Why were they not as good? Their Defense was outstanding even after a rash of injuries in the secondary...Cam held his own and they were very tough at Home...They beat San Fran on the road and only lost 12-7 to the SB Champs...Not sure how they were not as good as their record...

I just... OK...I understand the sentiment by some that EJ is not the guy...I really do, whether I agree or not... But the thing is...They're not going to take a QB in the 1st round this year...GM's give nothing away this time of year but Whaley already gave that much away...And to be perfectly honest, while I'm a bit skeptical about EJ myself, I do question how much better Bridgewater, Bortles, Manziel, or Carr may be...When I look at this class of QB's the only one that would really intrigue me if he falls to the Bills is Bortles...And Bortles is at least a year away...He's going to need time...But I do see the possibility of him being a poor-mans Luck... Now...I've been of the mind for some time now that Bortles is going #1 to the Texans...There are a lot of reasons why I believe that, and connections are there...If Bortles goes #1 that makes the possibility of Bridewater and Manziel being gone by #9 very, very good...So now...Not only are we talking about something the Bills management has been clear they are not going to do, but on top of it the likelihood that any of the top 3 QB's being there at #9 is slim at best... So when I read stuff like this I just wonder...Why are we wasting our time talking about it?...There is almost no chance whatsoever that the Bills take a QB in the 1st round this year...So why are we even bothering? No offense meant...really...But it's wasted thought...

I voted Evans...But I like both of them for different reasons, and I honestly believe we can't go wrong with either...

Listened to the whole thing live and...as an admittedly biased Bills fan...it was impossible not to come away really impressed with the kid...He sounded legitimately excited about being here and playing with our Defense...Sounded very sincere...I challenge any Bills fan to listen to that and think the kid is going to be a locker room problem...He got me pumped up...His last words? "GO BILLS!!!" Nice...

Like Mayock and Charles Davis pointed out this evening the workouts are just a piece of the puzzle...And the truth is both of them, and a bunch of teams, have Bridgewater the #1 QB in this Draft...He struggled with some things today that he normally does very well on the field...So it sounds to me like nerves got the best of Bridgewater today...It happens...Happened to him at the wrong time... Do I think this will make him slide? No...And here's why...Mayock said the best PW he's ever...EVER seen from a QB was Jamarcus Russell...That's how much these things really matter in the scheme of things...The film is what is going to get Teddy Drafted in the Top 8...Not the PW...The PW could have got him Drafted #1 though...That's what the PW is really for...If you dazzle you can further elevate...That's all...I would still be shocked to see Bridgewater fall out of the Top 8...He's been a chosen one for two years now...The film is very flattering for him overall...

Can you let him know I LOVE the NFP and his Scouting Reports...I thought that site was my little secret a while back...I find his reports excellent and usually thorough...I also like that he's not afraid to give a strong opinion...

Maybe so...But there is still the chance Carr replaces the one that drops...Not that I would take him that high...But there is a lot of buzz about Carr moving up according to Charles Davis...And normally I would not think much about it...But I do think Davis usually gets good information...So...This thing is far from over and teams have plenty of time to talk themselves into taking a QB high...

Well... You're comparing a 3rd round speed WR in Graham, that most scouts had as a 5th-7th round prospect, to an elite 6-5-225 prospect in Evans who had 2500 yds. and 17 TD's in only two years of SEC football...You don't put up those kind of numbers in the SEC on accident... Evans is still a baby in terms of football growth...He's no where near a finished product...He won't be 21 till August...But his raw tools draw comparisons to players like Brandon Marshall...His upside is almost limitless... No one...and I mean NO ONE questions that Evans is a bit of a gamble...But it's clearly a gamble on greatness...And much of the negative stuff you read about Evans mirrors the negatives that were written about Alshon Jeffery when he came out...Those questions led to Jeffery sliding into the 2nd round when he was clearly a high 1st round talent (at least I believed he was)...Everything comes down to coaching and finding a fit when a kid has as much natural talent as Evans does... There's no comparison to Graham...I can see comparing him a bit to Dez Bryant in certain ways...But lets face it...The Bills could certainly use a Dez Bryant-type talent can they not? And I'll tell you right now that Evans is probably a smarter kid that Bryant is...I'll go out on that limb...

It's interesting... I've thought for a while now that the 3 QB's (Bortles, Manziel, Bridgewater) will end up going in the top 8 somehow, someway....But I'll admit there is at least a decent chance one of them slides out...Then I was looking at some Mock Drafts on CBS.com...And granted these guys are not scouts...But they do talk to people around the league...It's literally their job to do so...And 2 of the 5 mock Drafts they have posted have David Carr going to Minnesota to make FOUR QB's in the top 8 picks!!! FOUR!!! Then I'm watching "Path To The Draft" the other night and Charles Davis, who I really respect at this time of year because he knows a lot of NFL people and talks to a ton of FO guys, says that Carr may go higher than anticipated...He hinted that there is some buzz about Carr being in the mix towards the top of the Draft, and that some teams may prefer him to at least one of the top 3 QB's... So anyway...It would seem to be a REAL long-shot...But there is at least some buzz...If that happens the Bills are in the drivers seat for sure...

I found the episode to be the ultimate cruel joke...Because...as we all know...God clearly does not like one AFC East team...And it ain't the Patsies...That's for sure...

Totally agree... I never saw anything like Troy Polamalu before he came in, and I doubt we'll ever see anything quite like him again...He's such an incredibly unique player...Literally one of my all-time favorite non-Bills...And I hate the Steelers... I also don't think it's all that fair to compare any kid coming out to a lock 1st ballot Hall Of Famer...That's an incredible amount to live up to...Both for the player, and for the person making the comparison...

Implode would be an understatement... Clinton-Dix is very good...The thing is...right or wrong...The Bills had a plan for losing Byrd and that involved using 4th and 5th round picks last year on Safeties...There will always be players that entice you to wander from your plans path...Clinton-Dix is that kind of player...But at the end of the day you have to stick with your plan and execute it...I fully expect the Bills to stick with their plan...And I fully expect Clinton-Dix to be a good NFL Safety on another team...You just can't Draft them all...

Personally I think a gamble on greatness with Evans is the way to go...If the kid reaches his potential we've got the next Brandon Marshall or Alshon Jeffery...And our Offense just took a HUGE step forward...At worst I think he'll end up being a solid contributor...At this point I say why not...But I would much rather be able to trade down a couple spots and still land him...That would be ideal...

In that last scenario he had Clinton Dix and Ebron going before Watkins...If Ha-Ha and Ebron go before Sammy Watkins that would be one of the biggest Draft surprises in recent memory...I would say the chances of that happening are less than 1%...But you never know...

I'm pretty much fundamentally against giving up Draft picks unless there is a QB on the other end...Just not my philosophy...The way the Draft plays out every year I think there is always examples of how you could better build a team by trading down and getting more picks rather than trading up and giving picks away...That's just my opinion...And as good as Watkins is I think this Draft is loaded, especially in the top 20 or so, with very good prospects...

Best case scenario IMHO would see the Bills trade down, grab an extra 2nd round pick, and still end up with Evans, Ebron, or Lewan in the 1st...
