  1. I'm not sure about Sanders as a 3 down Defender quite yet... we'll see down the road... But as a quick-pressure interior pass rusher he may have been the best one in this entire Draft IMHO... He can be an absolute problem in there... There was times I was watching him and I was afraid he was going to kill the QB he was coming so fast with so much force. He's got the type of game that developed and used properly won Philly a SB on the interior... He's that good in that single area...
  2. I think it's kinda cool that a few days in Sanders seems to be the forgotten man from the Bills Defensive Draft haul. I think Bills fans are going to be really happy with what Sanders is going to bring on the interior rush packages next to Ed.
  3. Very interesting what Beane said yesterday about Hancock. He was clearly a favorite of the Bills Scouting Staff. He said when they had the pre Draft discussion on who they would target in that 5th Round area ( I think he said of the guys they had 3-5 grades on) Hancock's name came up 4 times by 4 different Scouts in the room... More than any other prospect.
  4. I don't mind Moore at all for 2025...and I don't have to have high expectations because I don't think they are needed tbh. But I think what he would bring is a good match for what this Offense has become. They are telling us what they want to be, and Moore fits that in the slot and z roles. I think his skill set most definitely overlaps with Shakir and Samuel, but I'm getting the distinct impression the Bills don't care about that... It seems as if they want as many shifty guys that can get open and get YAC as possible. They'll leave the boundary work to Coleman and Palmer. I'm not saying that's what I would do... But I am saying that's what they are doing...
  5. Interesting reading through this thread and seeing a clear majority of TBD siding with Beane, even though some admit he could have handled it better... The afternoon guys on WGR were trying to spin it the other way. They said Beane took the pressure off them to have to defend his Draft picks (they said that's what the day after the Draft always turns into) and that the fans were now turning on Beane and his Draft record. And I'm only paraphrasing a little there. That's basically what they said. I mean... Yes they had more than a few angry callers saying Beane was wasting Josh's prime years while collecting an MVP... But it seems to me most folks are OK with Beane, even though he could have been more diplomatic...
  6. Full disclosure I've never been much of a Jeremy White fan... I've listened every morning since WGR first started streaming... So that's a LONG time now... I think Jeremy has decent takes at times but overall he's very obviously WR obsessed. I mean... Anyone who listens knows this. And they should also know Jeremy's team building strategy is quite literally that the Bills should basically mortgage everything for the next 3-5 years. And he would like that investment to come mainly at WR because, again, he's WR obsessed. I feel like Jeremy took the Fantasy Football thing wrong because the default for people who truly don't know...and love Fantasy Football...is to be defensive and say it was an attack to belittle. Beane explained exactly what he meant. He believes in building an entire team and that starts with the QB, protecting the QB, and the trenches... Fantasy Football is QB's, WR's, RB's and TE's... That's what Beane was saying. He literally said it. He was not trying to belittle. He was talking about roster building. He traded a 1st round pick for Diggs and extended him. He'll add at WR if he thinks the value matches up. I really don't doubt that about Beane. The football argument to be made, and asked about WR with the Bills, is whether or not a field stretching WR will further open up this offense. If getting someone who is a legit deep threat will actually improve Kincaid, Shakir, and Coleman underneath. I think that is what the Bills are missing, and I think that is a legit football discussion. I also wonder why the Bills seem to undervalue some of these mid-round guys I, and many other teams, obviously value higher. He continuously says the value was not there. I don't know. I valued both Troy Franklin and Devontez Walker higher as developmental WR's than DT DeWayne Carter. But maybe the Bills bump the trenches? I definitely valued Jaylen Royals higher than Deone Walker, but with the Bills needs at DT I get it... I think those are legit questions to ask a GM. But I think Beane felt like he said it enough this weekend that the guys they liked at WR, when they picked where they picked, were gone...and that's that... I do agree with Jeremy on one thing... It's easy for a GM to talk about their board and value without ever showing us their board and explaining how they value. But I'm not sure how you could watch this team last year and care all that much about what they are going to do with a 4th or 5th WR... Do I think they need a field stretcher? Yes I do...Absolutely... Do I think that need pales in comparison to just about every pick they made in this Draft... Yep... Pretty much...
  7. I'm not sure I ever watched more WR's than I did this year. I kept telling folks about how much I liked this WR class... I really felt like it matched up well with the Bills needs. Lots of speed... Lots of 2's, 3's and 4's... Varying skill sets... I constantly found myself thinking...how could they use this guy?...how could the use that guy?... I like how this guy fits... etc... It was fun while it lasted...
  8. In Kromer we trust... Lundt is a SUPER experienced player who is an older prospect, he'll be 25 in June. He's a 6.45 RAS guy but there are no jump or agility numbers recorded for him this off-season. He's considered a solid zone blocking OT with really good feet and feel for the outside zone running game. And he held his own for the most part as a pass blocker. The main concern with him seems to be the ability to handle the power rush he'll see in the NFL. I guess we'll find out from Beane if a move inside is the plan with the shorter arms... But he is really tall...
  9. My bad... Lundt has really good feet, played a ton of college football but has shorter arms. I'm guessing they see him moving inside eventually?... I think there is a fear of losing Edwards next year, and the amount of cash CyBo is going to get, so they want to stash depth...But otherwise I agree. Though based on what I saw from Tylan Grable last year who I thought might be a throw away pick, and what they've done with Anderson and Van Demark, I'm never going to question Aaron Kromer when he gives his stamp of approval.
  10. I don't think the Bills have resigned Morris yet, and they are specifically looking for a blocking TE... Hawes is arguably the best blocking TE in this Draft... Davidson is not a blocker and that's why Morris made the team ahead of him last year... I think folks who assumed the Bills were looking for an upgrade from Q Morris thought a pick like Hawes was coming some time in this Draft.
  11. Backup Nickle, back-up Safety... It's a direct match IMHO...
  12. 3 DB's, 3 D-Line now... The Bills are telling us they know... They watched it all year long last year too... They know... Strong is heavy on college experience. He just turned 23. He's a decent athlete with an 8.33 RAS. While a lot of folks are already saying this is a steal for Strong I'm really not surprised he slid a bit. It's the 1st pick in the 6th Round... That's probably about a round later than I figured he would go. He's got average speed for a CB and he's an up and down kind of guy to me. But he's got decent upside and he's played plenty. I think it's going to be a real tough battle for Strong vs Ingram and the vets the Bills brought back behind Benford and now Hairston... It's all a numbers game there now... He certainly has some traits that will give him a chance. He's going to have to step up on ST's for sure... Should be interesting.
  13. Maybe... He played all over and he has decent size...
  14. Hawes was my most mocked TE to the Bills... That's mostly because I never mocked a TE to the Bills till the 6th or 7th Rd. And I knew the Bills are looking for a 3rd TE that can block... And that is Hawes game... It's pretty much all he does, but he does it really, really well... Hawes is and older prospect and will turn 25 in December... He's a very average athlete overall with good explosive numbers and average speed. He's a 7.23 RAS overall... Blocking... That's it... Blocking and more blocking...
  15. The Bills may have been more unhappy with their Defense than I was last year and I did not think that was possible...
  16. Well now... I made the argument a few days ago that there were plenty of roster positions available on this roster, especially on Defense. It's not that we don't have decent players, but we also have a lot of guys who can be upgraded through the Draft. Hancock will be 22 in August... He's a 9.82 RAS and played mostly as the slot CB for the National Champs last year. Hancock's calling card is versatility for sure. Zone coverage should not be an issue... IMHO this pick is a direct answer to the trouble the Bills ran into last year behind Taron, and whenever they had to bring Cam Lewis in too much. Cam has been a great story and come a long way, but he's limited. Lewis is 5-9-183 with 4.5 speed. And that really showed up at times last year. I give him all the credit in the world for what he has done to maximize his skill set, but it's pretty obvious to me with this pick the Bills know they can upgrade. I think coming from the program he comes from, with his experience in zone, Hancock will provide needed depth and probably core ST's play. But just like I said after the Sanders pick for DeWayne Carter, I can't see how this pick is good news for Cam Lewis.
  17. If the Bills are going to take a flyer on a WR late I hope it's Elijah Badger...
  18. Royals just won the lottery. That was crazy value for KC... I really, really liked Royals... Now I must hate him...
  19. I forget who it was but it was one of the Cover 1 guys that said the Bills as an organization believe so strongly in their ability to coach and develop they strongly prefer players who have big time traits in areas they covet, but are unfinished. They want to create the best finished product. It's interesting. Especially when you think about what they did with players like Spencer Brown, Groot, Bernard, even AJ... They tried with Elam, but it failed... And no one hits 100%... I think they had the same idea with Coleman and Bishop last year...
  20. That's pretty much my take on Walker as well... He was 20 years old... He's a massive human...I mean... Most of us cannot imagine hauling around 6-7-340, and let alone out there playing with a back injury in the SEC... I can see how that can get sloppy. And I can also see how he did not look perfect when he was 19... But I think if you're looking at upside, especially as a pass rusher from the 1T position, it's a 4th round pick... He's huge... He's young... And he has definitely flashed... He's a good kid for sure... I think putting him on a do-not-Draft list is a bit much tbh... I watched him... He actually made plays... He showed enough... I mean... Yes he's raw... And he's going to need coaching big-time... But he's huge...
  21. Joe is the guy I listen to more than anyone. There is no one I respect more than Joe Marino. And I think some of his takes on Walker are 100% valid. But you can also make a few full shows on all the misses Joe has had... When you have to have as many opinions as he has to have, you end up being wrong a lot too... He was convinced Miami had one of the top 5 Rosters in the NFL before the 2024 season... So...
  22. Well... Full disclosure he's not my favorite prospect in this Draft. But that's mainly because I was scared off big time by the talk of his back injury and the rumors...and as far as I know they were just rumors...that this back injury could be a re-occurring thing... Walker just turned 21 on March 11... He's a young prospect... Team Captain... He is massive, but only a 3.74 RAS athlete. If you are going off his 2023 tape Walker is a solid 2nd Round 1T prospect with real nice upside. He flashes disruptive quickness and power into the backfield and he's such a massive dude he can just ragdoll RB's... But it's almost impossible to know exactly what happened in 2024. He was clearly heavier and he played with a back injury (he was already down to 331 at the Combine). He has a tendency to play upright as it is, and it was even more evident in 2024 when the added weight and the back did not allow him to play with the necessary bend and power. He commented in his interview just now the back was a big problem for him last year. He said there was days he could not get out of bed. The fact that the Bills traded up for him tells me they are not concerned with the injury issues. He just said in his interview the back is fine and he's 100%... No way they do what they just did if they think there is going to be a lingering problem there. He's a massive human, and as far as a projection, purely as a back-up you have to think the Bills feel they just got a lot better if they got the healthy Walker from 2023. He's an upside player, but he needs a ton of coaching... The Bills love players like this though. Unfinished with upside. They are not afraid of player like Walker. And if he hits, they have a monster. This Defense has really, really changed.
  23. ***** goes before Badger... Did not see that coming...
  24. The Falcons only have 2 picks today... They pick at 118 and by the Value Chart it would take one of the Bills late 5th Round picks to get there.
