  1. Man, you are really stretching it and should be sharing what your smoking. If the Bills cut players who can't help them, and the Bills were not a good team last year, why should I believe the player cut could help someone else. They certainly didn't help Buffalo. The only way this is even remotely feasible is if the Bills do some veteran housecleaning in preparation for the future and a team who thinks they need one more veteran back-up grabs that person.
  2. I would be shocked if Easley makes the roster. The Bills brought in 3 rookies to complete, al of which have more skills than Easley. Marcus is going to have to do somethign amazing in camp to make this team. Troupe -- I keep forgetting he is still around -- he'll be cut after he hurts himself in camp - it's inevitable.
  3. I see Smith gone for sure and am not really the least bit concerned about it. It certainly soulds like Lindell is gone. This is the second year in a row that they have tried to replace him - soon or later that will happen. I like Pears and would like to see him stay. We need depth on the O-Line that we don't have so why cut some of the proven depth. As far as Jackson vs. Kolb, I think it's Jackson that will go. I am guessing that when the Bills signed Kolb they knew they would be drafting Manuel. If they knew that and still signed Kolb, there must be a reason. What about Choice being a cap casuality? -- Gailey is no longer there to protect him.
  4. I have to go old school on this one and go with Mike Stratton, form back in the 60's. He was a punisher (what older Bills fan doesn't remember the hit on Keith Lincoln in the championship game!
  5. Round two for the Bills was big! I like that the Bills got Woods in round two along with Kiko. I think both of those guys will make an impact right from the start. I am not sure about Manual, but time will tell. I hope he becomes everything people say he can be.
  6. Yup - and don't forget Marlin the magician Briscoe -- although he mostly played wideout for the Bills.
  7. Taking a WR (Patterson, or Austin) at #8. Patterson is not a franchise reciever and may actually bust completely and while I like Austin, he is not what the Bills need at #8 - too small and only a slot guy. I have a feeling he'll be lit up in the NFL by bigger LBs and safeties.
  8. This is great! I am also afraid it's a little too close to reality! Super Post!
  9. I used to look forward to the schedule release and the planning then for my trip up to Buffalo to meet family members at the Ralph for a game. That excitment has been taken from me with the Bill' organization poor decisions of the past few years. I still get the Sunday Ticket to watch the games, and I hope the bills make a positive move to bring me back to the stadium, but for now I am a viewer, not an attendee.
  10. Revis is coming off knee surgery. There is no way of knowing at this point if he will ever be what he was. Additionally, he's getting older and wants franchise style money. A move like this would drive me over the edge.
  11. I like tavon Austin, but really do not want to see him drafted at #8. I think he's a slot guy, not a #2. I do agree that the Bills will be better of drafting a WR in round 2. The WR class is deep with talent, but really does not contain any triple A rated superstars.
  12. Urlacher spoke on Mike and Mike aboout taking 3MM per year. I'd sign him at 2 years 2 MM per plus 1MM signing bonus. It would give him his 3 MM in year 1.
  13. John Gruden was on Mike & Mike this morning and lots of good things to say about Nassib - of couse Gruden doesn't know much more than you or I about who is going to draft whom. He said that it would not surprise him for Nassib to sneak into the later part of the 1st round. That surprises me alot for him to move that far up.
  14. Does Urlacher have anything left and would he consider maiining the middle with the Bills for a year or two? How about Mike Jenkins, Eric Winston, or Michael Huff?
  15. Sounds crazy to me. I'm not sure of Johnson's contract status, but why get rid of a top erformer in a position of need. To me that's like seeing a left hook coming so you lean into it. A rookie QB (assuming that is what the Bills start) needs at least one quality receiver to go to. Do the Bills need help elsewhere -- heck yes! Trading Johnson is not the way to solve it. In addition, picking the best LT is crazy talk to me.
  16. Mike Stratton was my favorite defensive Bill in his day (and at that time there was alot of good ones, unlike today). The Keith Lincoln hit will live in my memory as maybe the greatest hit in Bills history
  17. I agree that the Bills will not spend the #1 pick on a lineman and fully expect some sort of plan that gets them either Geno Smith or Matt Barkley in roound 1. That said, I do not see the Bills line being as good as last year. You can't lose a solid starter like Levitre and fill that hole with a back-up of lesser skill and say were even. And please, leave Wood at center -- it and LT are the two most important positions on the line. In addition losing Rinehart is a bigger lass than folks think as he was a better player than Snow or Brown as a back-up so now where do we go when we need to fill in fue to injury.
  18. Hope not. If the Bills take Warmack I see a team that has not improved themselves over last year. They basicly let levitre go and replaced him with Warmack -- at best an even swap for next year. Given that the starting QB is gone, two receivers gone, and top two tacklers on defense gone I see a team overall that will be worse next year. Not somethig to look forward to.
  19. I like Levitre alot and I think the Bills will have some regrets letting him go, but if i could only have 1 of the two, then I want Wood next year instead of Levitre this year. If I am going to overpay this year, I overpay for Long from Miami at LT and move Glenn to RT.
