What I see the Pats do differently
freeagentqb replied to GoBills!'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
when a new coach comes in and turns a top tier defense into a dumpster fire because of a new junk scheme, then its time to make a change. If the new coach can't change then its time to search for another coach. -
Turnover on the Opening Kick Return
freeagentqb replied to ganesh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the offsides player was second to the left of the kicker. That spot is manned by #27 duke williams. -
Easley's innocent, it was Duke Williams who was offside. The 2nd player to the left of cundiff who appears offsides and was circled by Tasker is in fact Duke Williams......

Carucci: Disconnect exists between DL and scheme
freeagentqb replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The defense looked better last year. Thought we would be getting more pressure with rex but we're not. Miss Schwartz too. -
We played defense EXACTLY the way Wannstedt used to. Passive, reactive and unaggressive. I've seen that defense before and hoped to never see it again - but we did....

Rex got too cute and overthought his gameplan. We need to play sound defense and to our strengths. Blitz when indicated, etc, etc. I really think that he tried too hard to tailor make a cutesy scheme that somehow would confuse both Brady and Belicheck. But it didn't work too well. Time to go back to the basics and play sound hard football.

Why not press coverage if not blitzing?
freeagentqb replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree - If we couldn't reach Brady with a blitz or dl pressure because he was unloading the pass in 2 seconds, why weren't we up with the receivers? Sounds like they were conceding all of the short stuff hoping for an eventual drive stall and too afraid of being beat deep. -
Two plays changed everything for two quarterbacks
freeagentqb replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What I remember about Edwards was the game where he threw 3 early interceptions and from that point on he showed an obvious unwillingness to throw another and the checkdowns began. Don't think he ever regained his confidence after that as his game degenerated to checkdown after checkdown. -
Bills to go in little-talked-about direction at QB?
freeagentqb replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All that I remember about RGIII is in his rookie season people were saying he was doing better than Luck and how lucky Washington was in drafting him. I didn't see much of his play but the highlights I did see were impressive. Now I know he got hurt and his play fell off but what the heck happened to him? Did his play fall off that much and why? -
Patriots announce press conf for 1/24
freeagentqb replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Its possible that the officially approved game balls were not used by the Pats but instead used other prepared balls that they also had on the sideline. They probably have a bunch of tailor made balls in equipment bags and lockers on the field. Also, I can't see Brady allowing some equipment guy mess with any pre-approved footballs during the game. That maneuver would be too obvious - there'd have to be a guy with a needle, pump and gauge on the sidelines. How do you do that discretely? -
New England Patriots caught deflating game balls
freeagentqb replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The difference is not very obvious and the officials only handle it for a short time. Never seen an official squeezing a ball or giving it any extra scrutiny. Game officials should not be expected to notice such a small difference without some advance warning or reason for increased scrutiny. -
New England Patriots caught deflating game balls
freeagentqb replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I always thought the game balls were under the total control of the officials. Surprised to hear they allowed each team to play with their own equipment. Think the NFL will be changing that perk and have teams use the same football, -
The salary cap no longer works as intended

Continuity is only good if you have the right pieces in place. Would continuity be good for us if we still had Jauron, Williams or Mularky? -
NFC Title Game: Pack vs Hawks
freeagentqb replied to Deranged Rhino's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well our esteemed front office decided Spiller was better than Marshawn Lynch. Wow. I guess Nix was spot on when he said he wasn't the brightest person in the room. And I guess he didn't know football talent either. -
NFC Title Game: Pack vs Hawks
freeagentqb replied to Deranged Rhino's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That was a true Marrone loss. What a terrible second half turn of events for GB. Looked like a typical Jauron/Marrone second half especially the plays down the stretch conservative BS calls and clock management. Play not to win defined by GB.. -
I worked downtown for years and the weather always seemed worse there, with the winds coming off the lake. I think any stadium built in that area needs to be covered, The swirling winds are bad in the Ralph but they'd be worse in downtown Buffalo. The games would be a real mess. Besides, we need to have a facility that can host more than 8-10 events a year.

Time to Change Training Camp Location?
freeagentqb replied to BobbyC81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Going back a bit, but I vote to move it back to the Knox polo field in East Aurora. Used to ride my bike there to watch them practice. -
Do you want the new stadium domed or open field?
freeagentqb replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
dome for sure. Think that old idea that we have a cold weather advantage is over. Especially with the winds downtown, games would be a mess. -
You'd have thought he would have learned from his first tweet..........Way to burn bridges

Sal Capaccio interview with Doug Marrone on WGR

Ok, then fire em both. Offense is bad and getting worse. -
What exactly is intentional grounding?
freeagentqb replied to Talley56's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good question - they were both identical plays. Both in the pocket and the ball was not near an eligible receiver. I'm going with the notion that Carr's attempt was intentional grounding by rule but not called.
