  1. The most amusing part of this is that he obviously frequents this message board. I guess the guy doesn't have a high opinion of himself.
  2. Gotcha, you make a vaild point.
  3. Even if that is true Favre's first four starts would see the Packers put up 17, 10, 6, 10. That's 10.75 ppg.
  4. How is not giving the fans and media information about who is starting at QB treating them like "mentally inferior lemmings"?
  5. I don't even know why it would piss off the media. By Mularky not telling them anything he's giving them something to write about all week. How many articles could they get out of "Holcomb named the starter"?
  6. There are two ways of being really successful at the goal line. The over-the-top play or the RB that gets so low there’s no way the D can stop him (Tomlinson is a master at this). WM doesn't do either, he runs upright at the goal line which is a recipe for disaster.
  7. That's right, no pass rush. They blitz non-stop and generally don't get much pressure. That, of course, makes it even harder for the secondary. My biggest beef about the secondary this year is Milloy's tackling, which has been atrocious. Granted, the guy is playing with a cast on so he gets a flyer, but it still annoys me.
  8. I'll never forget seeing footage of the "protest" outside the Astrodome the day the Oilers left town. There were like 10 people with signs pleading for the team not to leave. As for the LA market, the last thing the NFL needs to do is expand again and further water down their product. As much as I hate seeing a community lose their franchise I'd hate it even more to see the NFL expand so soon.
  9. "Overrated" is not a term I'd use to describe our secondary; it's the strength of this D. With virtually no pass rush to speak of the Bills D is allowing a paltry 5.04 yards per pass attempt, which is 3rd best in the league. The Bills are also tied for 5th in the league in INTs, again with little to no pressure on the QB. Finally, opposing QBs have a QB rating of 63.8, which is good enough for 3rd best in the league. This D isn't playing very good football overall, but that's mostly do to our front seven not being able to stop the run.
  10. Batch could probably do a decent job in relief here and there but if he's counted on for any length of time that would severely hinder Pittsburgh's offense. The way Pittsburgh plays they need a guy that is careful with the ball, which is one of Batch's biggest flaws.
  11. The Steelers should be fine with Maddox leading the team if Ben is gone for any length of time. Big Ben has never been asked to do that much.
  12. This is the best you could come up with to slam me? The fact that I'm not Nostradamus? For somebody that contributes absolutely nothing to TSW other than insults perhaps you should hang 'em up if that's the best you can do. Perhaps I should rephrase that and not use the word “nothing”, otherwise you might provide links to your goldmine of "worthwhile" posts that you made last season....
  13. Wow, the insights you give into the game of football. Simply listing random observations doesn’t make one knowledgeable…I makes them Peter King. Nice job, perhaps you can include some field hockey and coffee nerdness into your next post. The posts gave the impression you put a lot of time into them, which makes them all the more pathetic. For somebody that believes himself to be so intelligent you should really work on your writing skills. But you know what, in this age of delicate self-esteem I don’t want to hurt your feelings, at least you tried. If this was the Special Olympics you might even get a medal. As for “not telling me apart”, I guess I should work on slinging mud at anybody and everybody or making LAMP posts with such prophetic titles as “Dear Morons”. You’re the TBD version of Jerry Sullivan; the nicest thing anybody can say about you is they recognize your name.
  14. Your posts always seem to head in this direction. What, you can't make a football based argument? Actually, come to think of it, you don't talk about football very often. So keep on slinging mud because maybe it will distract everybody and no one will realize that you don't have an f'in clue when it comes to the NFL.
  15. This was an interesting part of the article:
  16. Antwain Smith will probably run for 1000 yards in 11 starts and people on the board will start posting how we "let him go too soon."
  17. That's a clever way of saying, "I hate the Bills and have a secret agenda to push by speaking critically of their play." Well, that's what I've read anyway.
  18. I love the idea that if someone disagrees with you they're "more concerned with some sort of stupid self-validating agenda than they are being a Bills fan." Keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better.
  19. Yeah, that was my point. I was, sarcastically, throwing out the excuse that people have given them for weeks.
  20. The turnovers were nice but I'd really like to see them improve the run D. 97 yards doesn't look so bad...but the 5.7ypc that the Phins averaged is ridiculous.
  21. You must realize that the only reason you think so highly of these other team's OLine is because you don't watch them week in and week out every single play? Looking at pretty stats and saying, "that oline is good" or watching them when they play the Bills (who can't get a decent rush on anybody using just 4 rushers) isn't a good way of evaluating a line. Get MW back in the lineup, a QB that can make quick reads and sound play calling and you'll see the sacks drop (has anybody seen crossing pattern on the three step drop this year?) This line is nowhere near as bad as people want to make it sound. I'm not contending they are world beaters, I'd say they're average. The fact that you single out Gandy, who has been a gem of a find for us thus far, signals to me that (like Simon said) your expectations are through the roof. Only a handful of teams will have players like Ogden and it’s a lucky break when they pan out to be HoFers. If you’re going to single anybody out (of our actual starters, not the backups) I’d say it should be Teague. The guy has been abused often this year.
  22. Everybody wants to win. Those of us who want to see Losman take his lumps now just don't believe that this is a playoff contender even with Holcomb at the helm. The game yesterday illustrated this point perfectly. That being said, I hope the Bills prove me wrong and get into the postseason.
  23. Barry Sanders was inducted this year. Also, Deon Sanders is still playing.
  24. It must have been because the D was left out to dry and was on the field way too much. As we all know, that's why the D gives up lots of yards in the second half of games...
  25. That is just BS. The reason everybody thinks the refs always screw up is because any mistake they make is broadcast to the universe. Imagine every time you made a mistake at work if every single person in the nation knew about it, you'd probably get a bad reputation too, even if you were excellent at your job.
