  1. When is the last time a team with an OL that bad made the Super Bowl? Miami is solid at the skill positions on offense but that isn't usually enough to get the job done. Hell, if it was all about the skill positions Arizona would be booking their flight to the SB right now. As for Miami's D, it's still a decent D but getting old and I wouldn't trust it to be the unit that carried the team come playoff time. I wouldn't be surprised if Miami limped into the playoffs with a WC only to get demolished in game one.
  2. So you start your post by commenting on the "rude times" we live in and then finish it by giving advice to tell someone to STFU. Classic.
  3. Here we go again with the annual, "this moron thinks we suck" routine. If a writer/on air personality thinks the Bills are going to be bad then he/she is a "moron". If they think they’ll be respectable then they "get it". Why should anybody think the Bills will be good? What have they done to convince people that they've turned things around? Once the Bills start winning the majority of their regular season games then they'll get the respect you guys want them to have. Until then people will continue to think they suck (and rightfully so).
  4. Yeah, but that's generally what makes bad teams bad in the NFL. This isn't college where there's a huge difference in talent. Bad teams are usually the teams that continually shoot themselves in the foot.
  5. Drew got bashed before he ever left the team so I'm not sure he counts.
  6. While they are coming back to the pack I wouldn't say they're sinking fast. As long as they have quality QB, OL and DL play (which they do) the other areas of the team are fairly easy to replace. My guess is the Bills stumble out of the gate early in the game, falling behind 14-0 but manage to make a game of it by the end. Pats win 27-20.
  7. Let's hope my Tivo actually records it this time. I woke up Sunday morning eager to watch it only to find 3 hours of black screen had been recorded.
  8. I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and gosh darn it, people like me!
  9. How was Gibson's movement? The Bills are going with a lighter, more athletic line which looks like it's going to be pulling a lot. That doesn't sound like Gibson's forte.
  10. I got extremely tired of this in last year's version as well. The fact that they haven't fixed it doesn't make me want to go out and pick up this year's game.
  11. It appears that your 5th grade year was the peak of your talent judging capabilities.
  12. You're assuming he's already taken the engine out of the broken down Trans Am that's sitting on cinder blocks in his driveway.
  13. The Bills losing a lot of games and the Bills losing a lot of games against the spread are two different things. The Bills were 11-5 against the spread in 2004 and 7-9 against the spread last year. Being a bad team doesn't mean you don't cover when you lose.
  14. Whatever happened to that stiff arm? Two years ago it was a fantastic weapon. Too bad I haven't seen it since.
  15. Travis Henry did not suck. He was a good straight ahead runner who was very decisive and hit the hole hard. He also gave his all on every single play. He had some drawbacks; he didn't possess great hands and his blitz pickups left something to be desired. His running style also subjected him to a lot of punishment and it was apparent that he would not sustain a long career. Somehow everything ends up being black and white with people, the player is either great or he sucked. Overall TH was an average starting RB while with the Bills, nothing more, nothing less.
  16. The problem with Owens isn't all Owens (though much of it is), it's also the media. Owens could be a choir boy these days but he'd still be a distraction to the rest of the team. Every little ingrown toe nail or dropped pass gets blown way out of proportion and has the potential to keep the other players, and the coaches, from concentrating on what they need to do. IMO he's just not worth it, no player is. I wouldn't want him on the Bills if he played for the vet minimum.
  17. This might be the funniest post I've read in a long time.
  18. How did you see the play if you're on gamecenter? According to gamecenter it was a 56 yard play, not 72. The last time the Bills had a play around that length was...the first half (54 yards).
  19. You're likely right.
  20. I think we've found Holcombs Arm's alt username.
  21. Disagree, if there's nothing available past the marker you check down and try to pick up the 5-6 yards the team needs to get into FG range.
  22. It almost sounds like this team is in pre-season form.
  23. You're like a broken record. Get your head out of the stat book and watch the games. A few good plays don't erase an entire season of bad ones. Vincent was late getting over consistently and was a liability against the run. He had a horrible season. This D might suite him better, we'll see, but to keep sighting these same stats and calling it "reality" and "reason" is comical. You know, when coaches and GMs go to evaluate a player they don’t watch film, they simply glance at the stat sheet…
  24. Why? It should be mocked and laughed at and that can't happen if someone deletes it.
  25. You're not going to see consistancy with a new scheme and a young QB as much as you like. I'll take these flashes in the meantime.
