I thought Reed got a little less attention than he probably deserved but he most definitely was not a "younger brother" to f'in Andre Rison! Not even close. That’s almost sacrilege. Sharpe had a nice few years but his injury pretty much prevented Reed from taking a back seat to him too. Honestly it doesn't really matter, I won't B word about Reed not being in the Hall as long as Art Monk is on the outside looking in. That's even a bigger travesty.

So now all Willis has to do is insult the receivers and he'll have hit all parts of the offense...except himself. If he was LT I’d still want him to STFU and just play. As it is, he’s no LT and his game isn’t good enough to be publicly criticizing everybody else.

Man, that is a sad collection of QBs! There HAS to be someone on the free agent market that can do better than that for you. Alex Smith? Carr? Brunell? Haurd? Hell, I might take Frye over that collection of QBs.

I'd hold onto Willis. While both OLs suck, the Bills coaching staff will stay committed to the run as long as the game is within reach while the Cards staff is happy to air it out all game long.

I'm assuming ESPN is already facing possible litigation concerning the sexual harassment case. How idiotic would they have to be to give Reynolds a platform to make his case? This all comes down to money, as pretty much everything tends to.

I'd rather be consistently on the cusp of winning than simply sucking every single year. I think the fact that the early 90s Bills are considered the "glory years" is a testament to that. How fricking sad is it to be a Bills fan, 4 years of losing Super Bowls is considered the "glory years".

And this is an issue because the Bills are currently RIGHT up against the cap. We should just cut Spikes loose now so we can be 15 or so million under the cap instead of 10 million.

The numbers don't really back it up. LT, when healthy, puts up better numbers than Tiki. LT played the last 5 games in 2005 with an injury (an unspecified chest injury) that severely limited his production (which KILLED me in FF, but I digress). He also had a groin injury for half of 2004 but being the gamer he is he missed only 1 game. Now, the argument could be made that Barber is more durable than LT. However, if you look at the numbers you'll see it's incredibly close in both rushing yards and receiving yards. What this tells me is that even playing the past 2 years with various injuries (for a total of 13-14 games) that LT puts up numbers that are almost identical to Barber for the past 3 years. I'll take a healthy LT over Barber any day.

This is an injury that typically takes a few years to recover from. Add to it the hammy injury and I'm not sure anybody could expect him to look like the old TKO. That being said I had my doubts from the get go whether he'd ever look like the old TKO but I'm not willing to toss him under the bus just yet.

I think this is problably the best strategy though I'd like to see Ellison get a few series a game.

See, I have just the opposite take here. I haven't been sure this team was headed in the right direction until this overhaul of the OL. Just look what happened last year, when the Bills got off to a slow start Mularkey did everything he could to quick fix the problems with the team instead of actually trying to prepare the team to win in the future. This OL reshuffle isn't going to result in any extra wins this year but it is going to tell us if Peters can play LT, if Gandy is a legit guard and is also going to give Pennington some much needed seasoning. All in all, this is a move that will help the team long term instead of short term. I haven't seen a Bills coach concerned about long term gains in a long, long time. It's kind of refreshing. I have no idea if this regime will ever take the Bills to the promised land but this long term thinking has given me a little hope.

Alrighty then, so all we have to do to win with this OL is to go out and get a HoF type QB. No problem!

I always look for the worst possible scenario when it comes to the Bills. A 4-5 game winning streak to end the season meets my criteria. It moves us back in the draft in addition to giving us hope that this team is turning it around. This, of course, will make it all the more painful when the Bills suck (again) next year. This happened to us a few years ago and now the Dolphins' fans are experiencing it (which happens to be the best part of the football season).

I've seen plenty of people say it's tough to grade a QB when the line is horrible but I have yet to see anything comparable to what you say "Losman supporters" are saying. Are you simply taking one person's paraphrase and attributing it to all "Losman supporters" (whatever-the-f that means)? You seem to have a tendency to take the most reactionary posters on the board and instead of just attributing it to those posters trying to make it sound like everybody who wants to give Losman a chance is being this ridiculous.

The real point is that there is no rule. Some QBs develop quickly, some take a long time and some just don't develop at all. It's tough to know how long to wait before giving up on a player. I'm a patient fellow but I'm not willing to give JP 5 years as a starter before he gets it. By the same token I'm not going to throw him under the bus when he has a bad 3 game stretch.

Converting a 4th and 9 is a "likely" scenerio? The Bills were going to need a FG at some point (unless you actually thought they'd score 3 TDs...). They were in FG range and had a 4th and long, you kick the FG. If it was 4th and 3 or so then they could go for it, but not 4th and 9.

It was actually 21-3 at the time. A FG puts the game within two scores while a missed 4th down conversion pretty much ends the game. Even if the Bills get a TD they STILL need 2 scores so going for it on 4th down is pointless. The FG was the right call.

Crowell leads the team in INTs and has as many as the entire secondary combined (with a grand total of 2). Throw in Fletcher's INT and the LBs have more INTs than the secondary.
