  1. Yeah, if you have a HoF type QB he can make up for some of the deficiencies of the team. However if the Bills keep discarding QBs in hopes of finding such a QB instead of addressing the real problems they'll never get anywhere. JP might end up being no better than he is at this moment, even with a good team. I haven’t been pleased with his play the past 3 weeks but I also realize that the rest of the team isn’t helping him out at all.
  2. How is 31 ranked better than 30?
  3. You are correct, Brady is better than JP. Also, this just in: water is wet.
  4. By this rational the OL is never to blame for anything. Sweet, I guess we don't need to address that part of our team! They don't carry the ball so they're not to blame for a struggling running game. They don't pass the ball so they're not to blame for a struggling passing game. They don't handle the ball so they're not to blame for turnevers. Hell, why even bother having an OL!
  5. Help being the key word.
  6. You're probably right about Royals (he's done a pretty good job this year) but wrong about Crowell and Reed. None of the LBs are going to have much success when they have OL getting their mitts on them on a consistent basis. Honestly, at this point I’d be more likely to take Spikes off that list until he proves he can come back from his injury. Also, Reed is not a legit #2 option, he's a legit 3 and nothing more. Nonetheless we're quibbling over a few players here. The point is this team has roughly 10-11 legit NFL starters on the roster. That's just horrible.
  7. So you admit you expect the QB to make up for all the team's deficiencies and if he doesn't he's no good? Hell, they should just have a QB contest every week to see which team wins the game.
  8. I don't want players who "want to win", I want players who actually go out there and win.
  9. Nah, I wasn't counting ST (hence no Lindell or Mooreman)...and yes, those are the exact 10 I had in mind.
  10. I don't think any coach could win with the collection of "talent" the Bills field every week. This team has 10 legitimate starters on the team (and only 2 on the O and D lines). Everybody else is marginal at best. That's just not going to get it done. That being said I'm not happy with the defensive philosophy I've seen thus far.
  11. Yep, give it 3 more seasons and it may be very close to the 0 for 20 of the 70s vs. the Dolphins. At least I can say I was at the one win!
  12. Who hasn't had the Bills number the past 7 seasons?
  13. As I stated, it's a two fold problem.
  14. Three of those are with the Pats coming off a bye week. The Bills suck but giving Belichick 2 weeks to prepare compounds the problem.
  15. This is a two fold problem. JP isn't paying attention to the clock and the Bills coaching staff is taking forever getting the plays called into the huddle. There's no reason why the team should be walking up to the LoS 3 times a game with the playclock approaching 5 seconds.
  16. So you've proven your point: Losman isn't as good as Brady. Good job.
  17. Well, if YOU like Nall then let's put him in! JP struggling doesn't make Nall any better than he already is. He's still the guy that couldn't beat out JP in the pre-season and that GB thought so little of they drafted Rogers to be the future.
  18. Next Sunday will be the most pleasant Sunday remaining in the year.
  19. Unfortunately there isn't anybody on the roster that's part of the solution at the QB position. The Bills have, maybe, 10 guys on the roster in total that deserve to be starting in the NFL (let's count 'em. Willis, Evans, Peters, Schobel, Fletcher, Clements, Crowell, Spikes (if healthy), McGee and maybe Whitner). I'm becoming less and less sure that JP will ever turn into a starting calibur QB but he gets the rest of the season Imo.
  20. Do you honestly think it's only JP?
  21. It was actually the right call, it puts the Bills within 2 scores.
  22. Imagine that, a guy who has less than 16 starts to his name is inconsistent. I would have never guessed. I’m not too happy with the way JP has been protecting the ball lately but he does show flashes that indicate he can play in this league.
  23. The thing that really gets me about the cushion is that they STILL have two safeties 20 yards from the LoS, which means that there isn't an 8th man in the box for the running game. So the Bills are keeping 2 safeties way back and 2 corners way back at the same time...WTF?! I guess they're really scared of getting beaten deep?
  24. Both the O and the D have made big mistakes thus far in the game. The Bills haven't gone toe to toe with anybody. The difference between good teams and bad are that good teams limit their mistakes and bad teams continuously make costly mistakes.
  25. I knew when Willis didn't get into the EZ it would end in 3 points. In fact I called it exactly, I said, "run, run, sack, FG." At some point this offense will realize that you can't simply run, run, pass it everytime you're in the red zone. You have to pass on 1st downs sometimes.
