  1. I've seen extensive highlights of the game (they spent roughly 10 minutes on the game on Cold Pizza one morning) and have seen every turnover from it. You're missing my point though. Even if the Bears did make mistakes the Phins still put themselves in a position to make plays and then executed on both offense and defense. I am not a believer in luck, the defense creates opportunities via schemes and then has the opportunity to finish. QBs make mistakes in every single game and it's up to the D to make plays when they do. The Phins D did that. On the flip side of the ball, the Dolphins O ran the ball all over the vaunted Bears D and also executed in the passing game when they got the ball in the red zone. It's easy to say, "they had a short field" but the offense still had to put the ball in the endzone when it mattered and they did that. You're simply not giving the Dolphins the credit they deserve for beating the crap out of the Bears.
  2. So when a defense generates turnovers it's only because the other team made a mistake and not because the D made a play? The only turnover in which the D doesn't really haev a say in it (either by confusing the QB with overages, pressuring the QB, laying a hit on an offensive player, etc.) is when the QB fumbles the center exchange. I take it every Miami turnover was a fumbled QB/center exchange?
  3. And most companies also give employs personal days which they can use whenever they want to. I don't know anybody who is close to their mother that would return to work after three days, particularly if they had to make funeral arrangements and were left to clear up estate matters. I'm not sure what the worry right now is over Youboty. He left school too early and wasn't NFL ready (which is why he wasn't a 1st round pick) . Having first round talent isn't the same as being ready to play right off the bat. Even if he didn't miss training camp he wasn't going to contribute that much on Sundays this year. Once he missed training camp it was doubtful if he'd see the field at all. Why does it not surprise me that in this era of instant gratification people are already starting to panic a half a season into this guy's career?
  4. I'm not sure if it's a big deal or not, there's really no way of knowing. What is disturbing to me is that somebody can call the police, say you did something to them on the previous day and with no evidence whatsoever you can be arrested (and your good name ruined in the paper.)
  5. How about we let this end here and keep the discussion to football (or at least football related matters). I'm sure there are lots of other boards around where you guys can have your abortion discussion.
  6. I can't even imagine how bad Leftwich would be with a horrible OL. He takes so long to drop back and release the ball he'd probably break Carr's league record for sacks taken.
  7. The biggest problem I have with the play-calling is how predictable it is. 1st down is virtually always a running play. 2nd down is a running play if it's 2nd and 7 or less and a passing down if it's longer. 3rd down is generally a passing down because the first two plays didn't pick up enough yardage for 3rd and short (and if it is 3rd and short the OL gets blown off the ball on the running play anyway). You simply can't be this predictable and expect positive results. As Jaws says all the time, 1st down is the easiest down to throw the ball on. At some point the Bills need to take the shackles off the offense and let them at least attempt to pull their weight.
  8. Sweet, let's get one of those in Buffalo and see what happens.
  9. I looks like you'll have to commit suicide.
  10. The next 4 games are brutal. The Bills will be fortunate to win one.
  11. It was ugly in Chicago today!
  12. And just as many times as Evans. The Bills two biggest weapons on O have combined outscored Fletcher 3 TDs to 2. Pathetic.
  13. Me too. There's not a highlight show on today that goes into as much depth about each and every game as Primetime did.
  14. It was a bad throw but the ball hit Evans right in both hands and the DB never touched the ball. You don't expect a WR to catch a ball that hits both of his hands?
  15. Brady hasn't been a "dink and dunk" QB since his rookie year. Over the past few years he's actually been a better down the field passer than Manning, go check out the stats (I haven't checked the stats this year so I don't know if it holds true this season)
  16. You forgot to add, "and any WR in the NFL would have caught the ball anyway." It was a horrible throw but it would have been good for roughly 30 yards and a 1st down had Evans held onto it.
  17. Yes, that's what I said. Nice job at creating between the lines.
  18. I'd argue that they weren't very good running the ball on important downs. How many 3rd and shorts did they get blown off the ball on? The O, as a whole, didn't do squat until the last 10 minutes.
  19. Why don't the Bills throw on 1st down? Why don't they use play action? Why aren't there any timing patterns in the offense (how about a slant or two?)? I'm not sure why the Bills dont' do a lot of things on offense to mix it up.
  20. And he's making the throw while being tackled...but it's not pretty enough!
  21. And apparently it's JP that isn't laying down the blocks necessary to convert on 3rd and short.
  22. Yeah, I know but only one of them was JP's fault.
  23. What exactly do you think JP should have done differently thus far? He has one sack which I'd tag on him and if Evans and Royal manage to hold onto very easy catches JP would have been 7/8 for (roughly) 100 yards in the first half. You can't ask for much more from a QB in an O that is trying to play it close to the vest.
  24. It might look a little better if Royal and Evans hold onto those balls.
